If you’re going to preach the good news tell people their sins have been completely paid for and forgiven by the blood of the lamb and his resurrection. This is what makes salvation possible, without forgiveness first, NO ONE can receive the Holy Spirit which is why God came in the flesh to put and end to the issue of sin. If he didn’t do that, the Spirit of God cannot be in a person and remain. This is why Jesus defeated the law of sin and death. No one can lose the Holy spirit once they’re saved and sealed forever.

God put his spirit in Adam and he sinned by eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and as a result the Spirit of God that made him a living soul departed causing Spiritual death and sin to come into the world.
The word of God showed up as man, Jesus Christ and preached the law to get people to understand there is no getting to the Father in Heaven unless you turn from sin and keep the law. This is old covenant, living under the law, a life based on repentance and Obedience. But the law came in so all would be shut up under sin, made guilty before God, that sin would increase. Jesus said Be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect, that is the requirement of the law. If you try to obey the law, sin gets stirred up and a person is either going to turn to the only provision for sin, the death of God manifested in the flesh or strive harder under the law which is dead works.
The new covenant is Jesus died on the cross for our sins, all of us and shed his blood providing the complete forgiveness of sins. But the forgiveness of sin is not salvation, you must be born again and receive the Spirit of God to be made a new creation. Being made new means you are made righteous, Holy, Justified and sanctified by the Spirit of the living God indwelling you. You will be without blemish, free from accusation in his sight.
All who believe on the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved and have eternal life which is to know the One true God, who is revealed in the face of the Lord Jesus christ, the expressed image of the God who dwells in unapproachable light.

Even if you were to keep the commandments, how would God view you? You’d still be spiritually dead and all of your works would be dead works/lawlessness because your works were not done in Christ. A person must turn to the Lord for what he’s offering, not strive to go out and do works in hopes to receive eternal life. The law made nothing perfect and is seen as the ministry of death. Jesus’ sermon on the mount was a huge wake up call to all people that you’re not getting into heaven and have no chance UNLESS it’s by the grace and mercy of God.

I have a question and it’s very sincere. As a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and I follow him, I notice you are telling people to repent of sin. How does a person know what sin is? Sin is transgression of the law and by learning the law, you have knowledge of what sin is. This is the knowledge of good and evil. If you’re telling someone to turn from sin, how can a person successfully turn enough where God will give them eternal life? To turn from sin by definition is to keep the law and the law is not of faith according to our Apostle to us as gentiles, Paul. Either Salvation is by grace through faith alone in Christ or it’s by works of righteousness + Faith in Jesus. I think the bible is clear, that the law reveals our sin and points us to Jesus. After the law has done its work to lead us to faith in Jesus, we’re no longer under the law.
So how do you reconcile your view with what Paul said?
Is it grace or is it works, it cannot be both.
I believe our Faith should be in the Gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 and our faith is what is righteousness according to Romans 4:5.
Faith is trust in the risen Christ, not a “changed” life. Even you haven’t achieved that according to the law because if you’re honest, you’d admit that you still sin. So by “repentance of sin” as requirement of salvation, you haven’t received the Holy Spirit yet since God doesn’t grade on a scale. The law demands obedience or death.

Again, watch the "Foolish Ministeries" video catalog & check out his website.
All you have to do is click on "Foolish Ministeries" under the video and you'll see his offerings. He puts out lots of shorts, but he has put out tons of long-form Bible Study videos, too.
      Enjoy. 👍

Who has the final authority, the scriptures or his teachings? I’m not going to watch a video based off someone’s interpretation of the scriptures. I’m asking how does he reconcile his views with THE apostle over the gentiles,
Either Christ died for our sins or he didn’t. Either we have complete forgiveness or we don’t. Either we’re saved by grace through faith or we’re saved by works. Either our works validate our faith or who we put our faith in validates it. You can’t have it both ways.
      It’s faith or works.
John 6:40 and Romans 4:5 shuts the door on the debate.
Jesus said for us to respond by believing and others believe it’s not enough. The blood of the lamb is the only thing that washed us and the spirit of God is what justifies us. We do not get that by any work of our own or the will of flesh. Only by the parameters that God has set which is faith in the Gospel is how we receive the spirit of God and are born again. We cannot frustrate the grace of God and call God a liar.
I’m not here to have a relationship with a pastor but a living God revealed in the person of Jesus Christ, the son of God, God manifested in the flesh.

It’s not that hard to state, “I only believe people who repent of their sins and keep the commandments are saved”
This is no different then the majority of Christian’s who believe in works salvation. When it comes down to it, it’s faith that’s not really faith because it’s not reliant upon the sacrifice of Christ but your ability and obedience to the law. There is no truth or understanding in that because your faith ultimately is in a un-regenerate sinner.
I believe once a person is saved and born again, God will begin to change a persons heart. But the relationship is not built on repentance and obedience but on the love of God transforming a persons heart. This is work of the Holy Spirit that will be performed until a person goes to be with the Lord. But for a sinner who is not saved, telling them to repent of their sins, you’re telling them to live according to the law unknowingly or knowingly. They will find out that the sin issue gets worse. The reality is we need to tell people the truth which is God has reconciled them and they can have faith in Jesus.
