Just because rich kids have horse dont mean there arent poor people out there with them 2 i have 6 and im defonatly not the richest however the thought of selling them would kill me
My old barn used empty tuna cans as the head for bridle racks, they are the perfect width for the crown piece. Just in case its harder to get your hands on wood!
Love all the barn hacks. My one hack which may help you, is I keep a cheap plastic kitchen funnel in my barn to pour my bulk liquids into my spray bottles. No spillage on the floor and no waste of products! Thx again!
Dreamy saddle room! I did an 8 amazing barn hack video a while ago. So between us we have 18 usefully tips! My favorites is your saddle tree, that is genius! also the squirt bottle hanger is fab, shame I don't have the space for that...
someone at my yard made a rug rack out of a bit of drain pipe. They got a plastic one, threaded a long piece of rope through it and then tied the ends up to the beams in the ceiling, with it being high enough that the horse can't reach, so you can have all your rugs in your stable
Hi Sophie! I did this in my tack room, I needed more hang ups for heavier horse blankets, and my husband had some 1" PVC pipe that we weren't using, so I took some hay twine, threaded it through the PVC pipe, and then tied some twine on either end to keep the pipe hanging evenly, and then just put it on a coat hook. It worked so good, and was so easy, I made 3 more. This is a great idea, super easy to make and gives you extra storage space too!
This REALLY makes me wanna go clean and organize my tack room! I think we're gonna have a rainy day today, as luck would have it! I started to fix it up over the summer, made one saddle stand with a 5 gallon bucket (for a small western saddle).
We have a great hack for the water tanks. We bought some 25 cent goldfish from Meijer or another store and put 4-5 into each container. Those funny fish have now been in our tanks for 2 years! We only lost 2 of them since we first got then. They eat all the mosquito larvae eggs and absolutely no mosquito larva end up in our water tanks. They also eat the algae and we have to clean tanks a lot less than before we got the fish. Another great thing to clean your water tanks is to skim it often with a pool net! It works awesome. Cleaning the tanks is also much easier when using a snow window scraper! That scrapes all the algae or whatever on the sides and bottom so much easier than using a brush. We then grab a handful of old hay or straw to scrub. Then you can dump it all and the straw/hay breaks down in the soil. Works great for water bowls for small animals, too. 💞
Rug Hack!: when taking your rug off your horse, take the top end, on the withers and fold it bck over the horses hindquarters and then take it off and hang it on a fence or where ever you hang them. when putting it on, you hold it the same way you took it off and thenswing the outer side ( one not facing you) over the horses hind and then fold the top part back over the withers and volia!, rug on simply
Awesome Barn Hacks! I don't have a horse yet, but just got a channel and love watching all things horse related! You should do a collab video with someone small to help them grow!
I take the hay strings and place them close together in the doorways so when the horses walk through them they help to keep the flys off them . you will have alot of strings in no time
Holy crap thats ingenious!! Kinda like the thin plastic strips that people install in their doghouse doors..Ive got tons of baling twine piled up in a storage barn. I just KNEW Id find some use for it! Thanks😉
Appreciate your video will definitely try vinegar on manure. We ride Western but can definitely benefit from your budget equine videos. Goldfish In water trough to control algae and any mosquito larvae, water in zip loc bag with pennies hung in rafters works on Flys too don't know how but see a lot of people doing it.
we have almost no use for our manure and we haven't had much luck offering it for grabs. it's essentially a mountain that's just sitting right now. no bueno! thanks for the tip!
hey if you hang your saddle pads upside down it will help keep dust and dirt from settling on the outside of those gorgeous white saddle pads, it will also make sure they stay more hygienic as the sweat from the previous ride will have a full chance to dry and air out!!
Nice idea for the wall hanging saddle stand! Never would have thought of that! But it won't work with western saddles as they can be as little as 20lbs
Great ideas. Make a stall toy/treat dispenser/enrichment idea - use an empty plastic cat litter container, either the bucket type or jug type works, cut or drill a hole just large enough to allow treat (carrot chunks, cheerios, feed pellets to name a few) to pass through - smooth any burrs or rough edges and dispose of plastic bits, then hang in stall with twine loose enough that your horse can tip it to dispense treat. If your horse is bare foot, it can even be left on the ground to be nosed or booted about. Always exercise care and look for the worst case scenario - as the head stall or halter should be removed so that the toy can not catch on it, bare foot if on the ground so it doesn't get caught on a shoe, etc and always supervise the first few sessions so you can see how your horse is going to use his new toy
good video, I love horses, but hate work so when my daughter wanted a horse, I went next door to a neighbour who had many horses and leased one for two days a week. My girl got her horse, my neighbour got a lot of free labour, I had no extra work. Best of all when my daughter went to University a few years later the lease payments ended. The lease was $200. a month, no horse to buy, feed, doctor, or even sell when she moved away. Now that's a hack.
When we put ours up they are roping saddles so they weigh in between 50 and 75 lbs ... Was wondering if this would work... it is cheap enough I might have to just give it a try. Any recommendations on Hooks to use??
my old barn I managed used to have a serious wolf spider problem so I would take vinegar and water in equal parts and spray down all the walls abs outside crevices once a week
Love the hacks. My company is brand new and features a saddle holder that holds two saddles that can be locked up against theft. If you are interested please send me an email. dcarter@carterchevy.com thanks Dan
I love the bridle rack! I have a barn hack video too! My favorite is the hay net hack, and the hair dryer. You can see it here! th-cam.com/video/ZjBX5nMSiVc/w-d-xo.html
barn hack number 4 : Spray vinegar over your horse poo me:Pours entire bottle of vinegar over horse poo also me: pours vinegar into horses feed and water to help the flies not bite the horse and saving money:)
Best track room ever ours is just soo dusty and dull and small 😐 we used to have race horses so now we only have 1 pony which is mine that's him in my profile pic
How to keep your water algae free? How about fucking clean it. We clean our water troughs with bleach numerous times a week. Our water is always crystal clear. How would you like having to be put to work and do all that joint damaging jumping then getting water like that? Pure laziness.
Ann Dennis the horse isn't drinking the bleach dipshit... it's rinsed out very well not to mention a small amount of bleach can be used to disinfect contaminated drinking water. We only use maybe two capfuls and scrub... you and almost all other equestrians are lazy. Our horses always have clean water and that's how it should be when a running water source isn't avaliable. Having small tanks full of nasty shit, mosquito larvae and decomposed matter is a lot less safe for a horse than a cap full of bleach is in a full tank of water
Negative much? Unless you stand there rinsing several times your horse will get some and it will bioaccumulate. And unless you change the water and scrub daily your water is only crystal clear because of the bleach left behind.
Ann Dennis I do rinse very well going over the whole thing numerous times. And it's not always crystal clear... we just fucking clean it enough each week it doesn't get the chance for all those nutrients and detritus to form a shit ton of algae. Not to mention we have a big racoon problem on the marsh and when you see racoon blood on the inside of your water tank do you really think not bleaching that shit is safe?
Never thought I'd see 'budget' and 'equestrian' in the same sentence.
Just because rich kids have horse dont mean there arent poor people out there with them 2 i have 6 and im defonatly not the richest however the thought of selling them would kill me

I have thought about that, it's an excellent idea!
Good job love your creativity
That's a good idea!! And you could paint them black or something so you cant even tell they are cans
Id like to see a photo of that, i just cant picture it in my head lol (probably because i dont eat tuna so Im not really too familiar with the cans)
@@krystaldaniels7940 you could just do a google search for “tuna can bridle holders/rack” there are a few results
I like how neat and orderly your tack room is. Especially the bright light you have in there!
Love all the barn hacks. My one hack which may help you, is I keep a cheap plastic kitchen funnel in my barn to pour my bulk liquids into my spray bottles. No spillage on the floor and no waste of products! Thx again!
I tie the funnel to the bottle.

You can also put your crossties through a tennis ball so that when you unclip them they won't make a loud noise when the hit the wall or make marks.
Love that idea!
Crossties of what?
That's awesome.

I always keep my saddle pads in a small closet I built and put ur idea for keeping saddle pads in it as well

I love them. U r wonderful. Thank u so much for sharing . This is amazing. I appreciate u very much.
Love that bridle rack!
SAME!
I used almost all of them they are amazing!!!! The saddle rack held my big western saddle amazing!!!!!
Love the ideas! I am going to make a PVC saddle rack for the car.
I take the hay strings and place them close together in the doorways so when the horses walk through them they help to keep the flys off them . you will have alot of strings in no time

no problem, for only $19.99 I'll give you my 50 barn hacks that almost anyone can do, LoL jk . I liked your saddle rack vid. I made me one today

@@krystaldaniels7940 thank you, that's just a little trick I picked up along the way glad I could help out anything that would be good for the horses

i love the one with vinegar on the manure! i've never heard of this but it makes sense and i'll definitely be trying it out!
It really works, and we can use the manure for compost in our garden a lot faster than if we just let it sit :)
we have almost no use for our manure and we haven't had much luck offering it for grabs. it's essentially a mountain that's just sitting right now. no bueno! thanks for the tip!

Wtf this some fancy stuff right here
You have alot of saddle pads!😁
I only have three!
Thanks so much for the awesome hacks a saddle and a pretty expensive vet bill

I make my own fly spray to save money using Wright's Hickory Smoke and Water!
Nice!
What is Wrights Hickory Smoke??
It's liquid smoke flavoring used in cooking. Look for it where you would find extracts like vanilla.
What is the water to liquid smoke ratio?
bottom lock on stall door so horse can't escape if they undo the top one
Thank you ❤ a lot of brilliant ideas! Greetings from Italy 🌹
Stylish and very nice ideas! I like it :)
I made a saddle rack similar to that but I only have one saddle. Also dollar store has good stuff you could use instead also.
omg thank you im giong to a show next week

Tack room toor plz😄
This is great! And it helped a lot! Thanks!
Thank you 😃
Love these hacks!! thanks tbese were diffenetly very helpful i will definitely put then to use!😊😆
Do you have a solution for how to safely transport your saddle in your car? Like a portable car safe saddle stand?
Do you know if your saddle rack will hold fully loaded western saddles??? They are heavy but I don't see why it wouldn't ... any thoughts?
They hold mine, and it weight about 30 lbs.
When we put ours up they are roping saddles so they weigh in between 50 and 75 lbs ... Was wondering if this would work... it is cheap enough I might have to just give it a try. Any recommendations on Hooks to use??
I used the metal hooks u find in tractor supply by gate hardware. N I also have put heavy Western saddles on them
I use the saddle one for my toy horses
You are helping me so much
I ride Western but we use barrels for saddle racks. You can get them free and it's extra storage
Also, with a little work you can keep your tank algae and bug free with goldfish in the tank
You are an Equestrian Faerie with some Barn Magic ✨❤️💖
I use the last one I have a lot of those
This video is so useful 6:40 so many pads I have none I ride western
Lisa is a saddle pad hoarder like me😂😂
You can hook up the gate by going under the bar underneath of the latch. Latch a chain gate like that isn't secure
I use a stud chain to secure my mare’s stall door.
Your saddle pad hanger also has enough air flow that sweaty pads would soon dry
Great idea`s, thank you
at my old stables, we used cans for the bridle holders
That is a really great idea!
Yup, have some of those hacks
Please make a video on Diet Plan of horses🐎
With the fly spray add peppermint oil to help more
Thank you interesting and useful
How did you hook the saddle rack garden post. What hardware was used please
my old barn I managed used to have a serious wolf spider problem so I would take vinegar and water in equal parts and spray down all the walls abs outside crevices once a week
Vinegar is awesome.....spiders.....not so much!😵😵😵
Love the hacks. My company is brand new and features a saddle holder that holds two saddles that can be locked up against theft. If you are interested please send me an email. dcarter@carterchevy.com thanks Dan
How did you do the saddle pad rack? Usually the rod where you hang the pad is hard to keep straight
Thank you so much
y’all can go to dollar tree and get hooks and i use them for bridle hooks
Goldfish in your water trough will eat any Alfie that grows in there
The only one I HATE is the saddle rack one.
lying around the house
Love your vids 😃
You're so cute! Thank you!
Really good
How much was your saddle I’m looking for something under 400$
thanks!
I love the bridle rack! I have a barn hack video too! My favorite is the hay net hack, and the hair dryer. You can see it here! th-cam.com/video/ZjBX5nMSiVc/w-d-xo.html
1:40 um now you can’t run the sturip iorns up
I love ur intro
Thank you 🙂
I use the last barn hack
barn hack number 4 : Spray vinegar over your horse poo
me:Pours entire bottle of vinegar over horse poo
also me: pours vinegar into horses feed and water to help the flies not bite the horse and saving money:)
I’d rather use a pump sprayer to treat the manure pile with vinegar. We have a lot of manure...
❤
Sometimes I use human hair detangelar on the horses. For most horses It doesn't effect their skin
This is a great idea, ,and most people already have it in their home 😊
The Budget Equestrian thanks.
Best track room ever ours is just soo dusty and dull and small 😐 we used to have race horses so now we only have 1 pony which is mine that's him in my profile pic
Good
You have a horse named Ethan?
what is this filmed with?
Hi Kyile, I have a canon 70D that I use for filming
Thank you so much!! Love your videos! They help so so so much!!
I wouldn't use the viniger
and a $9 pump sprayer will save you from pulling the trigger on a spray bottle 8,000 times :-/
you have 2 horses why do you have 6 bridles lol
Why not? If she wants 12 bridles it's up to her. It's her money to spend and buy what she likes. Who are we to judge?
I don't ride english I ride western .
I don't know why she needed to make a video to show how to do this stuff I did this when I was six years old
Not all people are as smart as you ☺️
Bully for you
please stop looking back at the camera like that. its kinda making me uncomfortable
Cringe!😂

Nikki The Fox bleach isn't good for horses either, better to have algae and keep your horse longer.
