I LOVE getting detangling brushes at the dollar 🌳. Also rubber bands. My two must haves. Another trick, I got a tool bag carrier thing from a local hardware store for $15 and its holds like all my bathing stuff, fly spray, brushes etc.
Not exactly Grooming products but things I look for at the dollar store are First Aid supplies! Rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, saline solution, petroleum jelly/Vaseline, hand sanitizer, latex gloves, antibiotic ointment, Saran Wrap (for sweating a leg), masking tape (spiral around a leg bandage, duct tape (wrap hoof), people band aids. Would also be a good place to get funnels, measuring cups and spoons for diy fly sprays!
Great video! I’d add a strainer for cleaning a water tank, and corn starch based Foot powder to dry a sweaty horse in winter. Rub in and brush out- don’t let your horse breathe it. I clean blankets with this powder and a brush in winter as well. Lay them inside out and flat on the ground, powder smd scrub with a grooming brush- works like a charm. Generic Pinesol and water (half and half) in a spray bottle will prevent and kill thrush and actually white line disease too on the bottom of hooves. I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars fighting whiteline disease then finally killed it for $1.00 this way after hearing of it from a farrier. 🤯
I would go, but right not I'm too scared to go to the dollar store amidst the pandemic. Even before that, I'm always a bit wary of shady people who shop there

Diapers for big lacerations and hoof wrap.?
LIQUID COCONUT OIL IS A GREAT FLY SPAY I USED IT WHEN MILKING COWS AND IT WAS AWESOME FOR MY HORSES TOO
Also baby oil is good to put on horse mare and tail and feather it stops the mud sticking to there hair

Didn't know about pinesol and white line. I use old red Lysol concentrate and water, soak kills white line, thrush and even sulcus thrush.
Thanks for the great information Lisa! Have you heard of Tiger tongue? I'm wondering if there is an equivalent at the dollar store? Thanks!
