Have you ever heard of a lake whose source of water is a well? This is the fate of Lake Kenyatta in Mpeketoni area of Lamu County. Named after the first President of the republic of Kenya Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the fresh water body dried up decades ago leading to massive destruction of marine and wild life. However residents have joined hands with the hope of refilling it as mother nature intended.
