Someone please explain to me why I see hunters building crit plus qins. Surely you would rather build exe to reduce prots so your crits hit harder rather then getting extra yellow numbers

It depends, if there are multiple opponents building a ton of hp rather then protections mathematically, even with crit, qins has the possibility of putting out more dps then the reduced prots you get from executioner would. If it's an even 50/50 on the ratio of prots to hp then I agree exe and dom do a lot more for a crit build then qins can.
