The fact that Noob knows he might need cover and not something that might blow up shows he's actually learning how to play video games finally.
Maybe not so much, he forgoes the cover because it's already exploded, cover that is not going to blow up again or fall on his head no matter how much it gets shot or ran over.
I love it when people try taking cover behind an intact car or inside a building that can collapse, just bump it with my tank or hit it with some explosives (or an AT rifle) and they die when the cover explodes/crumbles. Unexploded cover is preferable to no cover, but much worse than exploded cover.

I guess I was lucky by saying "I'll get BF2042 when I get a ps5", that saved me some trouble. Unfortunately I pre-ordered gran turismo 7, and despite them having 8 years of work, it just sucks.
I don't think I'm gonna pre-order a game ever again, these "triple A" titles are just sad.

Imagine actually believing DICE and EA and buying this garbage after what they did with BFV. From " Don't like it , don't buy it " - " Maybe the players should get educated " - " I can't tell my daughter she can't play a girl character in a WWII game " to literally destroying the core system the game series was based on. DICE went woke, and now they are broke. BFV was the initial first clearly political and cultural and socially influenced Battlefield game. It was all downhill from there. I laughed and dismissed 2042 the second they were boasting and bragging about having " Gender fluid " Operators.

The title of this episode had me like “Damn, we just started the new season of BFFs and now it’s already ending”. The bus with the AI arriving to fill the empty ass server was such a good line. Seeing them all roll up had me dying. It’s so good to see Medic again. The gang’s all here in this disaster together now lol. Loving his new look as the old lady field medic. Thought he was just going to be Irish at first, but this makes way more sense.

@@Niklas0998 Its not like this is the first BF game to be rough. Hard-line was a commercial flop and basically not a BF game. Bf5 was an absolute failure at launch and continues to be a financial failure. Bf1 had a rough start, ironed out some of its kinks but still has issues. 2042 is absolutely atrocious despite being out for several months and is still missing simple fundamental core aspects of what makes battlefield games battlefield games. There's very little hope for the future because for half a decade it's been nothing but disaster after disaster.

@Andrew Zanardi They really weren't. I remember alot of disconnect issues with both and balance problems.
@Andrew Zanardi Pretty sure both games got the old "there's not enough maps" complaint and some maps had severe issues. I remember the desert Rush map from Bad Company 1 had a problem where the first objective was impossible to take because the defenders spawned too close to the MCOMs so they could just throw bodies at the objective. Coupled with the destructible walls, the MCOMs would rapidly end up completely exposed, making attacking them near impossible and holding the MCOMs impossible. You either blitzkrieged the objective in the opening minutes or got stuck at the first objective.
Bad Company 2 had big problems with Rush as well as many MCOMs didn't actually need a bomb planted on them as you could just shell the building it was in until it collapsed, instantly destroying it with no practical way for the defenders to stop the attackers doing it.

@@jojomania1105 no I'm not, I've played the game from start to finish and I've seen what the game looked like at the start and the finished product and it has gotten better. It's still nowhere near as good as BF3, BF4 or BF1 but it's better than its launch day version.

This speaks to me on a deep level. I'm laughing my ass off and crying at the same time. EA and DICE butchered the series with this entry and I have lost all faith in their ability to make a functioning game at this point.
EA has been trash for a long time. If you value your time and money, and respect yourself, you'll never give them another penny ever again.

The cover thing is hilarious and so true. Man playing BF4 back in it’s heyday, who would have thought something like 2042 was even possible. The Colonel and his melee kills skit is my all time fav! Love u guys! See you the next time round. 🤜
It was honestly a little bit of a gripe I had with the open maps in 4 compared to 3. 3 you always had some sort of ridge line or hesco barrier you could reliably hide behind. 2042 makes 4 look like a Bed Bath and Beyond with how much cover it provides.

@@fantaslurp there's a night and day difference between what BF4 was at it's core at release, versus the abomination that is 2042. You cannot just chalk up 2042's woes to another rough launch. 2042, at it's core, isn't a Battlefield game. 2042 is a below average, generic hero shooter that has vehicle spam. 2042 is like a cheap Chinese knock off of Battlefield, except even the cheap Chinese knock off would have the 4 classes in the core game modes.

I think we can all agree with Engineer at this point. The hype was real. Finally a normal modern battlefield title after waiting for a decade!

Not me. I mean, I am less able to buy games than Engineer due to constant bills and mediocre paychecks. I maybe get a new game/DLC every other year at best.
Not really. I saw "EA" on it, so I didn't buy it. The fact that literally every review of it talked about how terrible it was should have been a pretty good indicator not to waste your money on it.
You don't need to buy the game to fall for it. Being on the hype train and building up our hopes for a good modern battlefield title after the initial trailers, that's how I've fallen for it.
But the Beta should've been a clear imdicator that this game will never live up to expectations, so obviously I haven't bought it. Everyone who kept their pre-orders after the beta is either too lazy to refund or borderline naive

I started doubting since the gameplay trailer when I noticed they were only showing "back" takedowns (COD style), also them replacing classes with specialists was definitely a no from me

Remember Battlefield 2142? What a great game that was. They should remake that, and actually make a good game without microtransactions.
It was my first online shooter, hooked up with |TG|, had some great times. This shit makes my antidepressants not work
I really wanted to like that game. But the game was balanced horribly and it had in-game advertisements all over the place. That was the last EA game I ever bought.
@@MrMagnaniman The balance was okay, but yeah EA has always been an evil company, they just own some decent properties. I can't actually remember the in-game ads, but that is pretty annoying. Still was such a fun game with the Titans and all the verticality to the gameplay, as well as great maps and gadgets.
@@Harrier_DuBois For instance, self damage was the same as friendly fire damage. So, if you didn't play on a friendly fire server, there would be RDX jumpers murdering everyone as they spawned. And that NEVER got fixed.
Also, the titans lagged servers so they disabled titan movement. Never fixed.
The shield consoles could be destroyed by shooting them through walls, bypassing defenders. Never fixed.
Explosives killed everyone in one hit, but guns took a full mag. Granted, that's how a lot of games are, but it's very poor balance nonetheless.
The hovertank was a zillion times better than the tracked tank. it could rotate its whole body faster than the turret on the tracked tank could turn. Never fixed.
They left out obvious game content, like hoverjeeps, so that they could sell it as DLC.
And on and on. I'll admit that I played the hell out of that game, but I saw the writing on the wall and quit buying EA crap. They own some good devs and great IP, but they have made it abundantly clear that they HATE gamers and have no respect for us.
then yu should give a try to planetside 2 , its a bflike with 3 factions ( actualy 3,5 ^^ ) and large scale battle, its F2P (but not P2W, just skin ) so developpement is a bit long but they still update it after many years.
But be aware, due to the scale of fight and the fact there is many old veterans , the game is hard to start.

It is never a bad idea to create any BFF episodes. No matter the game, people will watch. I click so fast for 2042, but would equally fast for any previous BF game.

@@moisesgrande6291 It was supposed to be the battlefield killer in 2018 and it died, now it is being rereleased from the ground up and it looks promising, they are changing it to a f2p game with microtransactions and i think it is now in open beta

It's a huge steaming pile of disappointment. The portal is where most of the remaining players have gone. It's pretty much MW 2019 with big empty maps and vehicles and less guns.
It’s really not as bad as these guys are claiming. It’s really not very good either though. As with anything, I’d say try it yourself and make your own opinion.
While I am glad you have managed to find fun inside this broken mess, it’s a little dear to ask people to shell out 90 dollars to buy a game that they have been told by several hundred people, that they are not going to enjoy. Again, glad you at least managed to enjoy it.
@@robertives973 It kind of is though. Every map is huge and lacks cover, there's hardly any guns or destruction. Honestly it feels like they just made a buggy MW 2019 ground war game. You can have fun in it sure but it was a giant disappointment

If you listen to their podcast, they actually mention that they play 2042 pretty regularly with each other. They make these episodes to pander to the hte-mob to get views. Pretty genius gotta say

@@SocialContractActualI've played it, gave a few days worth of time and honestly? I kinda wish I hadn't. Now, yes, Battlefield games usually have bad launches so yeah, might get better with time, but the core gameplay is what makes me not like it as much as previous titles.
This had me ROLLING. The cover and the AI part had me dying! They nailed this so perfectly with the state of the game. The game is so terrible that this comedy writes itself 🤣

Man the art style has greatly improved since the old days. Way less jagged features and more smoother/cleaner lines in the characters. I hope they keep making animations.

Noob has legit progressed throughout the series. In the 2042 series he's actually somewhat competent, he just still has no real situational awareness. I don't think the old Noob would even consider using cover, let alone actually make his way to an objective that needs capturing.

There is a difference in being broken and having terrible design. You can't fix that. Dice have already abandoned 2042 as they announced a new BF for next year (which will also suck cause that like zero dev time)
Battlefield 4 was broken. These issues can be fixed. Battlefield 2042 is just horrible design choices all around. It's rotten to the core and you cannot fix that
@@709mash All they need to do is port over previous gen maps and player sizes (64 players only), and then it'll start to work. Might seem like a rip off for next gen who were promised 128 players, but that's the price you pay if you want to improve the game.
As for the next Battlefield, they happen every 2 years, the old exception being BFV which was meant to be 5 and ended up as 3.

What I loved about the older dialouge was how they cut eachother off or stammered. Made it feel all the more real.
