I was born and raised in Reggio Emilia (Italy), where MaxMara is from. Actually, not too far away from where I live there is the original old factory of MaxMara, which now has become a private art collection supported by the Maramotti family, the one of the founder of the brand. Absolutely gorgeous coats. This video inspired me to get a second color in my favorite coat. Not Max Mara, but Gobi Cashmere Tie Waist Coat. Had it already in Cocoa and and just purchased the second one in black before they stopped selling them altogether😞 😢 . Thanks again for the inspo❤. They both fit beautifully in my wardrobe and im glad i dont have to sacrifice quality.

You look amazing! Great to have multiple coats in different colors if you have lots of money to spend. It is hard to choose which color to own. Also would be great if we can wear coats all year round.

Hello! I know this is an older video but I’m going to Italy in feb and was going to get a max mara coat then! Just curious if you feel like the Manuela coat is warm enough for winter in Italy?
Yes, I think so! But do make sure to have some layers, a top, warm sweater, etc. Enjoy Italy!

Can you update on how warm it is in that type of weather ? I’m considering getting one as well
@@MsFunFull I haven’t experienced anything colder than -4C in NYC but it held up pretty well in the cold!

Hi! I just purchased my first MaxMara coat and while I love it, I am very surprised at the belt loops. They are essentially string! I know you mentioned they held up well so far, but I wonder what the rationale is? Any idea?

I usually take a German size 36 in almost all my clothing. That's Italian 40 by Max Mara size chart.
I find opposite information in reviews and on different web stores.
I would really love to purchase this coat, but the sizing is driving me crazy.
I would love to be able to wear the chunky knits underneath and I have relatively broad shoulders, even though I'm only 1.62 m tall / 55 kg.

@@burberryclaretred6676 Just a quick update. Purchased it on My Theresa, it's TTS, but I'm really really mad, because it came all wrinkled. I'm thinking of sending it back, just because of the sorry state it came in.
How and why someone decided to use a box that is obviously too small for a big long coat is beyond me!!!
The item way to expensive to be delivered all wrinkled.

@@ccchoe3171 The fit is great, I used a Max Mara size chart and a 36DE fits perfectly. That's my usual size. So, I'd say - use the Max Mara chart and go with your regular size.

Depends on the weather! I find it to be way too hot after about 12 degrees Celsius maybe? But it really depends on whether it’s sunny or windy etc. but it’s definitely not a light coat, I wouldn’t wear it if it’s sunny 12c out

I'd say black, it goes well with more of my clothes

What happens if it starts to rain?
It holds up pretty well, but I don’t think you should repeatedly wear it in the pouring rain. I always carry an umbrella and btw the pockets are very large and can actually very easily fit a folding umbrella!

I am 162 cm tall, around 55 kg. Do you think a 36DE (40 IT on MM chart) would fit me? I'd like to be able to layer, but also to wear it with finer knits/shirts. My normal size is usually 36 or 38 DE (42-44 IT in most charts, but 40-42 IT in MM chart)
I have a 20year old Max Mara alpaka and wool belted coat in DE34, IT38 and it fits fine. I'd like this one to be a bit oversized. Thank you ❤️

@@sauronthecutie Thanks, but I already got a 36 DE and it fits perfectly ❤️. I don't know how different web stores convert sizes, but I followed a MM conversion chart and got my regular DE size. A 38 DE would be way too long (and the sleeves too). For me, this coat is definitely TTS. Yes, you're right, a 38 DE would be a better option for chunkier knits in the shoulder area, but it would be too oversized overall. It would work well for someone who is a bit taller than me, at least 170 cm.
Defiantly not investing...complete waste of money.
