    Your videos helps me a lot about machine design. I would like to request if you can post a sample video on how to calculate the different loads of a simply supported beam with uniformly distributed load. Also a video on how to calculate the difference between a welded plate against a bolted plates. Steel plate is 250MPA, 6mm thick, 6mm full weld to carry a load of 2.4KN. Thanks

    crushing force diagram is wrong. generally we give clearence fit (over key dimensions in shaft wil be less by 0.4 to 1mm to hub key way dimension)
    key undergo compression

      i think its meant normal force

    • @BanValsimot
      @BanValsimot 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tangential force can cut a shaft key into the two pieces if it's shear surface in not big enough.
      But the same force can also crush the key from it's side if a side surface is not big enough.
      Since half of the key is outside the shaft where crushing occurs half of the thickness is used.
      It has nothing to do with the weight of the hub!

    its not correct for crushing failure....ok...why should I take tangential force at crushing failure....dimak thik nahi hain keya.....

    This guy just speaks textual language and makes no effort of explaning the actual concept. I doubt if even he knows what he is teaching. Just using different coloured sketchpens isnt helping, u need to actually make the content comprehendible. Dont waste ur time writing stupid things. Rather u should try to focus on your explanation. Their was no different explanation for crushing in this video other than textual context. Was hoping for that.
    Hope you take my feedback in a positive way and improve your teaching if u are really are interested in teaching rather than acquiring viewers.
