I just bought the Casio 1200, but your review would have been very helpful in my decision process. In the end, my preference for more explicit world time functionality reaffirms my choice of the 1200. Thanks for sharing.
I recently bought AE-1200WH-1A the stainless steel version. The watch feels more sturdy heavy but you cannot actually feel the weight on your wrist since it is well distributed. In my opinion AE-1200 is better because of its unique dial. Let's be honest the functions offered by these watches are not used by most of the people who buy these since any smartphone can do that, however since 1200 has unique dial it stands out more and is a conversation starter. 1600 looks similar to other cheap Chinese versions and only a keen eyed watch enthusiast may notice. No hate to any watch, if I had the money I'd buy both. I just think that comparing these kinds of watches solely on utility is a miss. I do like your videos and you have earned yourself a new subscriber.
Bought both since it's very affordable and I get to wear them alternately. I got the yellow tint version for the 1200 and the grey/green version for the 1600, very pleased with both purchase.
AE1200 world map, however corny it is, has been a topic of discussion with many of the people around me. It's very nice and gives it the well deserved casio royale name
@floatingchimney the whole watch is a gimmick in today's time buddy. The world map definitely looks cool as no other watch has it and it has sparked many conversations for me. I count it as a cool gimmick
I was literally unsure about choosing which one should I buy and I saw this video… thank you so much for helping me❤️ I think I’ll buy WS1600 because I need the countdown timer
I found that the WS1600 was easier. The AE1200 module took a bit of work to align into the black case with tweezers. Could have been just down to me though.
I have and actively rolling the AE 1200, 1300 and just recently the WS 1600. Display wise, I always love the 1300 better, especially because of the dot matrix display that displays letters much better. Im not settled with the triclops though, its kind of ugly. Function wise, my WS1600 is on par with the ae1300 but with better design. I think the AE 1300 and WS 1600 are the more practical one for my daily use, but I wouldn't travel to different time zones without the AE 1200, its really my "GMT" watch.
@@wristaction True, the ability to skip time zones quickly is a really convenient feature when travelling abroad. Really wished the 1300 has it too. The 1200 are designed for travellers.
@@JobyGeorge-rg2fu The dot matrix date/function window sold it for me. Looks more exclusive. I love that the 1600 also use one. Thats also the reason I bought one once its released.
@@Adrian_Ciobanu You are absolutely right. It has the same firmware as the AE1300 and exactly the same features. I'm comparing it to to the AE1200 because it's a fan favourite and well known.
One thing that annoys me is the timer presets that come standard on AE1300 and 1600. Why didnt they add 1,2,5 minute presets? I'm sure those would be much more useful than some of the others, like 12..
I'm confused,should I go with ae1300(40$) or ws1600(50$) please reply, I like both, actually I like the design of dw6900 3 eyes, that's why I'm a bit attracted to the ae 1300's 3 eyes
AE1300 and WS1600 are essentially the same watch but with a different display. Go for the one you like the look of. BTW, the WS1600 is less the US $30.
The AE-1200 is my daily driver, great watch. I've modded mine to remove all lettering apart from Casio & WR100M, which makes it look much more clean imo.
@@wristaction No although I have heard of that method as well as goo-gone. But I used isopropyl alcohol 99.9% & Q-Tips, and then finished off with silicone spray on a cloth to make it pop & more even.
No Battle for me, I have both.
Estou aguardando o segundo modelo apresentado no vídeo. Já tenho o primeiro
The most savagest reply I’ve ever read😂
I want both they both look nice
Casio wins lol
Finally found a Casio that can show time and chrometer at the same time.
Both are great , awesome video . More and more Casio vintage PLS ❤
I like the ws 1600, looks cool. Bought one today
For me, I prefer the AE-1200WH
I do have the AE-1200WH in my collection and I love it..
Thank you for this video.

good choice!
Nice comparison video, 2 great watches.
Thanks

Would love the 1600 features without all the useless complications. That's why I wear a WS220.
I hadn’t heard of that model. Tough Solar, very nice.
The new one is great, but Royale forever.
I'm happy with my A158W. It's a nice watch. Has everything I need.
Royale is the GOAT, pardon the pun 😂
Good battle - I have both now 👍👍
I dont like the "font" of the 1600, but the rest of it looks pretty cool
I have read comments of people not liking the font. What is it you don't like?
The other displays on 1600 are pointless. I'll take the 1200 work time functionality
Next.. A 3 way comparison with AE 1300 as the third watch !
The Ae1300 has exactly the same features as the ws1600, just different layouts for the seconds graph.
Such a great explanation.
Someone please tell does 1600 have raise wrist to lit the display feature... thankyou 😊
I think the 1200 looks more futuristic
I have a problem with casio watches that i need to take under control.
Love the design of both just do all metal reissue please just got a1100 reissue today

@@thecompanioncube4211 absolutely, the selling point of this watch is in its gimmicks.
There is a charm to it though.
@@floatingchimney that's not always a bad thing, though

excellent conparison. w/c is easier to mod though?

Who needs to see the seconds counting? Waist of space, the AE1200 is the winner.

I really like the ability of the AE1200 to change the home city to another city quickly. This feature is missing in the AE1300 & WS1600.
