Wicked vid, fun editing too. 7:25 ~”pads”~ My ford 390 eats oil on the downhill, been meaning to revamp my pcv system. Apart from adding a baffle, I might change my vacuum source. Is it better to source vacuum for pcv at the carb or the ford pcv carb spacer? My engine’s original carb didn’t have a pcv nipple and ford used the vacuum source on a carb spacer. My new carb has a pcv nipple on the carb itself and I wonder if I should pull vacuum for the pcv off the carb itself instead of the stock carb spacer vacuum source a couple inches below the carb.
Those phenolic spacers are hard to come by, if it’s not cracked use it for heat transfer. Either of the two will pull good vacuum. I just don’t like to pull vacuum from one individual intake, port, or runner.
I would not use self-tapping sheet metal screws on the underside. I don't trust screws I would use pop rivets drill 1/8 inch blind hole and pop rivet it. It will never come out.
Hmmm! Normally I just roll the window down when leaving the Taco Drive Thru.🏪 Keeps the passengers happy. Proper ventilation? Not sure... Guess I'll find out Friday.

Great video, thanks for sharing your skills
How many miles would say change the valve &filter? 🇺🇸Thanks
Check every 3000 miles and replace as neeed. Back in the day we would clean the filter and clean and check the pcv valve.
