    Wale, the problem that you bring up isn't our fault. Joe Budden said himself on another episode, "Great music has legs." The fact of the matter is; even if you are writing amazing bars, Kendrick and Cole, Etc. know how to deliver it in a way that makes people understand, it moves people. Thats an ability they developed. I gave the same 1 length play-through of DAMN. as I did SHINE. I'm giving them the same playtime, the difference is Kendrick can complete something to the point that his artistry allows his work to stick with me. You haven't developed that. Kendrick doesn't have to explain his bars, you just sat there and did it for ten minutes. Art should speak for itself. It should last. That's where your complaint is flawed.

      T-Dub Rite, he dont get the fact that ppl got turned off by his arrogance and the more he does shit like get mad for not getting the respect he thinks he deserve the more ppl will downplay his talent. Like Kendrick said bitch be HUMBLE

    • @jstun2318
      @jstun2318 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wale aint deep and him breaking down the lines in "cc white" proved that he thinks that simple shit is way too complex for the average listener, he always thinks he is too smart for everybody and it makes it hard to give him a chance. Kendrick doesn't do interviews telling people that noboody gives him the respect he deserves if he did I think he would get that same corny nigga stamp that Wale gets. If we all gave Wale the attention he is craving he would be more arrogant than he already is, and knowing that about him I think it makes people wanna pick him apart and not give him credit for his music. He just need to stop being so pretentious and just make music, stop trying to be fake intellectual when you talking about women and work on some of them rhyme schemes becuz he always has a couple loose bars that dnt rhyme with shit and dnt necessarily add any content either.

    • @jstun2318
      @jstun2318 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      See you and wale got the same problem you want others to not have success because your guy aint winning. Kendrick and Cole are better rappers than Wale there aint no question bout that only opinion of style of music. J.cole picked im apart with bars in False Prophets without saying his name but still everbody knew who he was talking bout. KRIT just needs to be a producer even though i do like his music he's no persona. Lupe didnt like the industry enough to become a big artist at one point he was supposed to "retire" so that explains why mainstream hip-hop stop fucking with him. Wale gets ok promotion I think he has the worst team and he picks bad 1st singles (chillin,the matrimony,running back, LoveHate thing.) that don't give a good idea of the sound or content in the album. At the end of the day people feel the way they feel and you can't make them like you because you are just as good as (fill in the blank) you have to add something different to music and standout and Wale just blends in with everything.

    • @jstun2318
      @jstun2318 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look, I got music aint nobody fucking with but atleast Wale does. Everybody not made to be on top he has a role people know about his music if they choose not to do so then he needs to find out how to reach those who don't like his music. MY problem, is Wale really not that nice I can come up with better lines about female reference for cocaine but you aint fighting for me or anybody else that wish to just be close to wale level. I mean whats wrong with where he's at in his career? He has atleast one hit single everytime he drops a new project but he don't care about his success cause he sees Drake, Kendrick, Cole and now Big Sean as having more than he has.

    WALE it's your job as an artist to make sure your message is understood NOT thinking they will get it once they hear it. How would you feel if your DR. came talking to you in medical terms about what was going on with you. they can't do that and neither should you. writing something that your intended audience don't get is your fault.

    Wale forgets to rhyme consistently in songs while still getting his point across... it's like he sacrifices the rhyming word to finish his thought with a different word and umm... it's not that that's not rap... that's not GREAT rap... it's just like poems that don't rhyme are RARELY as well received as poems that have the same story but DO rhyme... ijs

I feel like if your an artist, take constructive criticism, don't confront people with a salty attitude. Wale is just one of those dudes that just needs to take the Indie route and focus on making music for his die hard fans. Fuck the reviews. Corny or not, this dude have actual fans that really buy his albums and go to his concerts, like any other rapper. Not everyone is gonna ride the wave though.

Also Just because a big artist gives you feature that doesn't mean instanly you are a great rapper and people have to like your music. nah fam just because you can rap from the perspective of a chain does make you the most complex rapper ever bro. Just because people don't like something doesn't mean they don't understand it as listeners comments like that turn us away
