This is why i love Documenting the progress so in ten years time we can see the difference. Nature always finds a way to reclaim and adapt, just take a look at the Great Central Railway that once ran through Woodford Halse, it truly beautiful and a Sanctuary for wildlife.
Also the reason it is massively over budget and the north of England is missing out, total travesty the over engineering of this section, a plain embankment would have been perfectly fine through this section…it needed stronger project management to say no, all the other railways round here are visible, this one is going to be as well
Local objections and too many Chris packhams in the world to whine about the effect it has on its surroundings. They said something similar about the M25 we would be F.D with out it. Pity they cancelled the northern stretch.
I can understand covering rail tracks to avoid having deep cuttings or where housing development needs to be screened against noise etc. But viewing the drone shots there appears no evidence of either. There has to be a reason!
give ,em ,a job a knock there,ll soon cover it all up,would have thought that they would shut the off, the road, and get on doing the next part, seems to a lot of cars in that car pack and not many bears about
On the Southern side of the site. On the Chipping Warden disused airfield is one of British Car Auctions referb and storage facilities. Along with several other vehicle storage companies, including Lotus and Aston Martin.
In a few years time you won't even know that the railway is there. Awesome engineering.

@@gorgu08 I totally agree with you, this should be a cutting and not some over inflated, so called "Green" tunnel.
@@gorgu08How could an embankment replace a tunnel ?

Somewhere to plant trees etc without getting leaves on the line. Also provide a green bridge to allow the free movement of wildlife.
Doesn’t seem to be much happening, considering the size of the project.
Still spending billions though . . .

I believe it’s a vehicle storage are rather than a carpark.
