I’ve just come across your video. I see a lot of people talking about Banfield’s reputation. I too had hard negative reviews. Recently, I rescued a 7yro black lab dog that was in very bad condition. He had almost zero hair left on his body. He had open wounds on the side of his belly. He was abused and neglected for most of his life and never seen a vet. Over the course of the past 2 months I have been to the vet at least 8 times with him. I have paid for extra testing (skin scraping to verify he had nothing contagious that could be passed to my other pets). Almost everything else has been completely covered by his wellness plan. I’ve never been rushed by the vet. They’ve spent over an hour helping him and giving me advice on his condition and behaviors. I’ve had this vet call me 3 times on her OWN time after hours to check on my dogs status (he had multiple infections). I’ve now decided to transfer my other 2 dogs from their vet to Banfield. I’m from Michigan and went to Texas to visit family and was able to take my rescue dog right into a Banfield hospital there. After his neuter surgery he had extra care due to his age. He was bleeding from his scrotum and it worries me. I was able to call the vet and bring him in immediately, no charge. Turned out to be a hematoma. Anyways I recommend Banfield to EVERYONE. 🙌
thank you! I was going back and forth between this and seeing my dogs prior vet. The last visit with my other vet and teeth cleaning was 600$ now this will save me so much money then going to petaide. Thank you again
Banfield Tech Ridge Austin would not treat my Chihuahua Bitsy without wellness plan and she died yesterday. They also will not let you in exam room. Horrid.
Please do! Every place has their complaints and compliments. Out of experience, people will complain to try to get free things and sympathy. Being on the wellness plan is benefial IF YOU NEED GO TO THE VET ALOT. If you are only going to the vet once or twice a year, then yes, paying monthly payments for a plan is not going to be beneficial. (just being honest) If you need to see a vet, have your pet seen a lot, then yes, the wellness plan will save you money. - Vet Assistant
Bainfield Pet Hospital 4300 Portsmouth Blvd. Chesapeake, VA have the best Pet Doctors and Staff. They were very kind and extremely helpful to all our pet questions and needs. Outstanding . From Our Pet Teddy. Thank-you Bainfield Terry and Charles Boone.
Neutering a pet is always recommended ! because...... you don't want to cause unnecessary pregnancies and pets are less aggressive when neutered. Neutering provides major health benefits for your male.Of course your vet isn't going to say " YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO DO IT" because at the end of the day if your dog, BUT they will recommend it. Hope this helps. - Vet Tech
First of all, I love your videos your yorkie are so adorable. I just got a teacup yorkie June 2nd he looks like Bailey. He is 3lbs. I want to thank you so much for the information about Banfield I have signed my yorkie up. It is so much cheaper and they get everything they need. 😀
Hi! Congrats on your new baby!! I am so glad you love the videos!! I am also glad I was able to help with you signing up for Banfield! I feel that they really do help with saving money for your dogs health! Thanks for tuning in to our channel xoxo.
Hello I took my Baxter(yorkie) to Banfield yesterday and I truly was pleased with there Services. Thank you again. Would love to see more videos of your cute little yorkies.😀
Hello! No its not insurance Its a little different. With Banfield it is considered a wellness/preventative care plan. So I pay the monthly fee and I get the free unlimited visits, free spay/ neuter, free vaccines, and the free dental cleaning. I originally had my pups on insurance I believe it was pet care or pets best. I don't remember exactly. The thing that I didn't like is you had to pay the monthly fee and it didn't include vaccines and when there was an emergency I would have to pay out of pocket and wait for a reimbursement. What insurance were you looking at if you don't mind me asking?
Cons: each visit is out of pocket, they hide the fact that your pet is dying to sell you a wellness plan and then after your pet dies they charge you $700.
So I know you like Banfield that's great. I won't go there knowing how they tend to treat people. A friends dog got SICK and he was told he should have made an appointment a week ago. How do you know your dog is going to be sick a week in advance. Add that to the fact that they are owned by the mars candy company and I'm out. I appreciate that others like them but they aren't for me. Also dental cleaning doesn't need to be done until the dog is at least 7 and even then the only dog I've EVER had go under and be cleaned was going under for a different oral surgery. Putting a dog under is too much risk for me.
KMichelle Argus My Maltese is nearly 4 and she needs dental care. Smaller breeds can be prone to dental problems that can’t wait seven years. She needs her teeth cleaned every year.
Ive never heard someone so ignorant lolol. Like HUMANS, if we do not brush our teeth every day for 2 years, our teeth get GROSS. SAME WITH DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pets need to start getting professional teeth cleaning as soon as dental calculus / tartar start to build up (2-3 years) If your dog has not gotten a teeth cleaning until 7 then there is no teeth to clean!!!!! Many extractions are needed to be done but of course you're the one that knows everything. You probably believe that essential oils can cure cancer. LOOK AT YOUR DOGS TEETH! Is it white? Yellow? Dark Yellow?? Grey? or BLACK?? Hope your dog gets help soon. - Vet tech
hi i was thinking of starting with this company i was just wondering how much do you pay a month for medical care for your dogs? do u know if they except dog that have other issues before seeing them?
Hello, If you have one dog I would say that it is about 30/per plan. if you have multiple you get a discount for each additional dog you add to the plan. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!!
maybe if you checked your receipt you should see your discount. If you don't like the plan, then go else where. Pay $70 for an office visit and $200 for vaccines somewhere else.
I’ve had a wonderful experience at 3 different Banfield location. Walmart has thousands of complaints and people still shop there. Your local vets have complains as well, they just may not be advertised. Only 800 complaints and they have over 900 locations (per google). That’s pretty fantastic if you ask me!
Veterinarians always have a hard time pleasingeveryone. Wanna know why? because most people have a hard time accepting that their actions at home is passed on to their pets. Owners will literally wait last minute to take their dog to the vet. When they finally call to schedule an appointment, they complain about why we are booked for the day. THEN, when they do come in, they complain that its expensive to do any diagnostics. THEN, they decline all recommended procedures and go home with just pain meds and expect the pet to get better. THESE ARE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE COMPLAINING. Sorry not sorry but you're so ignorant. - VT
800 complaints? That’s less than 1 complaint per hospital lol you can’t satisfy everyone. I see it everyday, people sign up on wellness plans because they see the $70-80 that they’re paying upon sign up for their membership fee and 1st month payment vs the $200+ that they’d be paying if they don’t sign up. So this isn’t something for people who don’t take care of their pets or are looking for something cheap for 1 visit, if that’s the case we do have free 1st office visit coupons and codes 😂 people are incompetent and don’t ask question and when there’s 1 minor misunderstanding they fluster themselves because they’re now in a 12 month agreement that they signed for.
NO ! Don't go there ! I took my perfectly healthy dog in for vaccines and now he's paralyzed in his back legs and now I'm heartbroken how could they do this to us?
Samantha Veterinary Assistant lmfao shut the fuck up. you prolly work for them😂. stop being pressed about it, they aren’t gonna reply to a bitch made comment.

Thank you for the information. I need to look into this.

Each visit is NOT out of pocket. UNLIMITED free visits. You're probably not on a wellness plan.
probably not, probably has no idea what a wellness plan is. @@afalk6970
you don't know what you're talking about so, bye bye now. GO somewhere else.
You weren’t on a wellness plan
