Going very nicely! Was wondering how well thsi board would gybe. It looks like it turns quite loosely. Looks good! Nice flat board trim at speed with your 8.5m too. Do you mind me asking what weight are you? I haven't sailed a larger board for many years. Only short boards until a few years ago. Thinking about a Tahe 160d for light wind blasting. I weigh under 67kg.
@@MrSheymie thanks! It will gybe thanks to its floatyness and inertia als long as you enter with as much speed as possible. It is very forgiving thanks to its size and volume. The daggerbox rubbers however, do not close completly, which is a major design flaw. This can cost you much needed speed in the gybe. Close it off with duct tape for better gybing.
@@Red-Door Thank you for your response!. The dagger board appeals to ne for the option to sail it like a sailboat in very light winds. Do you mean to say (sorry I do not speak your language) that you can only overcome the problem of water flow and drag through the rubber seals by taping it closed permanently?
@@MrSheymie No, I mean you can tape it for the more windy days to give you a better chance in the gybes due to less drag. Don't get me wrong, it is possible to gybe without the tape as long as your technique and speed are adequate
