      Air realistic is the best way to grind for console players, sim wasnt meant for consoles period no matter what anything says, you need a full setup for it period

    EC for both air AND ground RB, that's what this game needs most. The dull and repetitive gameplay also applies to ground battles, like how many times can you fight over 3 objectives, with the battle modes being so rare that we might as well forget about them.

    All they need to do is increase the number of bases for air. 4 is not enough. Alot of jets can easily take 2 and half of a third. You get team killed for "stealing" a base or even being close to a base. Even if you don't have bombs. Increase number to 8 if not 6. Every game has 4-6 players that are bombing. Bombing is very easy and almost guaranteed rp and sl. Arguably ALOT easier and better than fighting. Your guns won't always hit. Your missiles won't always hit. Your bombs definitely will hit that base.

      They upped the player count from 12 to 16 and kept the number of bases at 4 to limit and avrage earnings in SL of players, they also balance all planes on avrage earnings and not win rates or skill adjusted peformance.

      Theres far more to Air than just bombing bases. Sure an increase is probably needed but Air RB needs far more work than just increasing the number of bases.

    New suggestion:
    Make squadron vehicles and event vehicles act like premiums, I.E. they can research everything below them instead of the standard 1 rank above and 1 rank below. They wouldn't have the 2x booster that premiums do, so premiums would still be relevant from an economy perspective

      This would directly lower earnings from premiums, why would anyone pay in my currency 109$ when they can buy GE and buy i.e. the SU-33 for cheaper. For event vehicles this would be even worse as you will not be spending any money at all on the game.

      @@Zutin177 Not really, Premiums will always be relevant because low repair costs, high premium multipliers and quite often being straight up better than their tech tree counterparts.

      @@HunterSteel29 US F14 IRIAF, USSR SU-33, Germany premiums are better, GB premiums better, Italy premium better, France M2K cs-4 better, Japan premium better, Israel both KFIR’s better. In regards to the rewards I’m pretty sure it’s just normal multipliers + talisman meaning if you got a squadron vehicle or event vehicle for free and bought a talisman you would be saving a considerable amount.

      @@Zutin177 Not at all, my Mig-21 Bison its normal +100% SL multipler + x2 Premium multipler
      And then also for RP it has that, plus the premium bonus and talisman. Couple that with the fact that you don't face penalties researching aircraft far below you and you can effectively grind out the entire British air-tree with it. On the other hand if I use the Sea Harrier FRS.1 as a Squadron vehicle, it only gets the normal SL multiplier which is 100%. No Premium multiplier. Giving it a Talisman will only give you a near premium RP multiplier but you'll have a penalty researching aircraft that are in Rank V and below, meaning you cannot skip Ranks 1 through 5, only rank 6 and above. Something the Mig-21 Bison can do. That's generally how you can rationalise these things. So even giving out Squadron and Event vehicles that are fully spaded and have no penalty to researching aircraft far below or above them, you wouldn't impact Premium aircraft at all because you'd still have the standard repair costs so your economy is already worse, the standard SL and RP modifiers of which you'll need a Talisman to just get higher RP multipliers. People will still buy aircraft like the Mig-21 Bison, or the F4S or the Premium options of Russia and Germany just to skip the early tech tree.

    Back in the day Air RB EC was very fun, so sad it ended
    I enjoyed playing heavy bombers such as B-17 and take out multiple objectives, tank colums, bridges and such, it was very very fun and bombers were actually useful

    ARBEC would be my saving grace. I really do like this game, multiple nations at top tier but it's clear that it's reached its limit for new aircraft. These aircraft are not made to engage at 10km low altitude. I'd like to have a reason to take bombs to take out objectives and still defend myself.

      And it's not hard to implement either, literally just copy-paste sim ec in the event tab and change the difficulty to realistic instead of simulator. I've been asking for this for years as sim ec is by far the best gamemode but the simulator difficulty is dragging it down by making it less accessible

    They evidently think mindless grinding IS the game. The rest of it is just Gaijin eye candy. Do they realize they have Strike Aircraft in the game? Or is it just stuff to waste RP and SL on for Fighter players? Sub sonic Strike Fighters are really fun since by the time you get to the targets your team is dead and the enemy just activates an order and shoot you down. Real fun.

    One reason not mentioned for people leaving games early is that the repair costs and wait times are ridiculous . I often wonder why I would risk making a losing game even worse by adding 25K SE costs to my ledger. I can't be the only one.

    "Hopefully people could build it" yeah they did with Naval. They made a cool map with a game mode that wasn't shiet. Playtested and thrown In the garbage to be never heard of again. Gaijin does not give a toss about non min-maxed profit oriented frustration based game modes.

    What they really need to do for ground is just make everything into battle mode or make like three times the tickets for the domination modes, making maps bigger and spawns a long line along the map is what we need.

    So air EC could work if 2 things were fixed.
    1. Maps for top tier would need to be drastically increased, in SIM EC already some maps you can fire active radar missles across the map at a target.
    2. AFs would need much better air defense systems. You could add systems like the Patriot for AF defense in front of the AF but would only work on large maps.
    As long as it's not a system that SIM has where you can create lobbies, it'd be a pretty nice game mode that's not just a one spawn TDM like air RB.

      Agree with your first point. For your second I also agree with it in principle but I think you can only put those systems on new maps that are far larger, you can’t put them into existing maps because their coverage would reach the enemy’s airfields.
      A better interim solution is to use better spaa around airfields like the pantsir in addition to giving AI SPAA the capability to engage enemy munitions.
      Spaa doesnt necessarily have to be effective at shooting down enemy aircraft but it does need to be effective at protecting the airfield and friendly aircraft at it from incoming bombs and missiles.

    allow fighters to be spawned at the beginning of GRB matches like heli's with one big caveat: only A-A weapons are allowed. No rockets, bombs, AGMs, nothing. This would be strictly CAP.
    Dis incentivizes players to spawn anti-aircraft in the beginning because it's an opportunity for more kills. It also fixes a huge problem which is CAS. They also need to increase rewards for shooting down aircraft, and add rewards for a SAM shooting down munitions because that's a waste of a missile for nothing
    SAMs like the Patriot and early SA-10 for airbases, double the number of air bases,

    Having specific missions in each ec game would help, il name some ideas i gave to the devs
    3 different spawn bases with limited amount of aircrafts that can spawn (like 4 or 5 in each spawn making a squad)
    Protect high value targets or intercept,(b52, b2, tu22 tu 160 and orhers)
    Take down high priority sam sites like s300 or patriots, (perhaps allowing the bombers to advance
    Take down high value war ships
    All of these to me seem pretty good and having possibly having one team be attackers and other defenders could be cool 😊

    I want low tier air arcade battles to not end as soon as every soft target has been bombed. Also for naval arcade battles to not end in the first 4 minutes in a match with only one other player after a single control point has been captured.

    I’ve been screaming this from the rooftops for years now. That EC is limited to sim is holding the game and the mode back. More players should be able to play it and provide the devs with feedback (that they’ll actually have to act on rather than ignore).
    Enduring Confrontation needs to take a page out of the game Nuclear Option’s escalation game mode. Fobs should be able to be spawn points for helicopters as well as for AI ground units that will form convoys towards the nearest enemy bases. AI units need to be capable of defending themselves from munitions and capable of attacking enemy air, land, and sea units.
    Please for the love of the game, look at what Nuclear Option has done and open your eyes to the enormous potential War Thunder’s EC mode has.

    I don't play tanks depending on BR range. I play the tanks in the order I do for the map and tactics I want to use for that map. I also think leaving a match whether because of BR range or because I don't like the map makes no sense. Playing on occasional hard mode makes you a better player. Having to figure out how to succeed in a tougher environment makes you a better player. Plus if you want realism, there you go. Because you don't just get scenarios where you will win in real battles.

    A bigger problem with the showing BR range if you know when it’s happening you realize the amount of full uptiers you get is out of hand. Example event at 9.3 ground you still get a lot of full uptiers to 10.3 not as bad as it used to but still a lot. But if you go play 10.3 you get pulled up constantly to 11.0-11.3 and never see those down tiers to 9.3 so I thing there needs to be a way for you to get a favorable game ever 3-4 games to make the game play more bearable.

    As someone who actually experienced the RB EC test, I have an observation: RB EC quickly devolved into a punishment simulator when people figured out you can lurk over the enemy airfield at high altitude and dunk on new spawns. This is the same reason RB doesn't have respawns. This also affects Arcade. It's a human nature issue, and it might be the reason short matches are the way forward in War Thunder. Blame Psyche.

      When RB EC was tested, that thing also happened, and still happens sometimes, in regular battles, where players who return to rearm and repair gor camped at the airfield; and it was fixed by having very heavy AA at airfields and more than one.
      In sim EC is not a problem any longer, AI fighters spawn on airfields to defend them, you have multiple airfields so the enemy cannot camp them all, and AA is dangerous enough that you cannot get close to the runway (at least low enough to use guns) at all.
      Plus camping the spawns has been meta in arcade for as long as i can remember.
      EC is better suited to deal with the "problem" you describe than any other modes.

      I know what you mean, I also get spawn camped or have to spawn camp all the time in Air Arcade. But that is something that could be easily fixed, if we just get more spawn locations like in Sim. Also the addition of time appropriate defense mechanisms such as short range missile aa for the he time or modern SPAAs like the Gepard would greatly help the air mode, be it arcade or realistic

      @@jms4989 Wouldn't it be great if the last 15% of the map was an open spawn zone? You could drag your icon onto the map and spawn near there after a delay. Maybe player controlled SPAA for downed players. Would give you something to do other than abandon the match. Battlefield style balance.

    Well for air rb problem is when you buy new plane, especialy in top tier you play stock plane with bad rockets against full researched planes, and then you even get uptier. Its hell, tou are slover, you have bad rockets, rare case you can eve come to drop bombs on bases, but there are only 4 and you have 10 planes in team that are faster then you...

      pve heli battle with a booster
      play for the first 30min then leave at the 35min mark and start a new one
      if you have no booster than just play it normally
      (also avoid dying to get the useful actions reward)

    imo your take on the br range of the match is just stupid. As you said, you can eg know via the sp you need which br the top br of the match is.
    That does imo not influence if players leave early or not. Because these 1 death leavers are from my pov 3 main groups:
    1. Players with only 1 vehicle which is useful. Applies mostly for grind premium vehicle players. 2. Players with only one vehicle in their line up with the goal of spading it: If you dont have any vehicles left, you will not receive any crew lock penalties. Therefore leaving after the first death in a vehicle its just more time effecient than contiune playing with other tanks. 3. Players who dont want to play one of the abysmal bad maps of wt, with examples being mozdok, fields of poland, hürttigen forest or normandy in the one cap variant.
    So, tldr: The reason why players are leaving early is imo not because its an uptier but rather it being a really bad map or a nonexisting line up

    I find it very odd that Air RB EC is the ONLY mechanic that you consistently put the onis on the players to create.
    Why dont you do this with World War Mode? You complain about World War Modes implementation so why dont YOU create it in the CDK?
    It's just a little bizarre for any game to expect the players to create a highly detailed game mode. Isn't the whole point of "passed to the devs" for the devs to take ideas from the players and implement them? I mean it is their game ya know...

      Completeley agree with you, its stupid for TEC to say "you do it" when its already done, it has been tested in the past and everyone loved it, it currently still works on air sim (where it is the only mode) and on naval (where its great for grinding bluewater, coastal is impossible to grind since they separated the trees).

      This is the thing I find most bizarre about his take. It already exists and isn't implemented because of Gaijin's phobia of queue time increase (not an issue if drop in/drop out lobbies are present like current air sim.) It literally just needs to be added back in to the game. Saying "you do it" is a massive cop out and I have absolutely no idea why there's such a passive aggressive response to this idea from TEC.

    I don’t agree with you that showing the BR range would just cause people to mass leave matches. They may not be war thunder but in World of Tanks, World of Warships, World of Warplanes, the console and mobile versions of those games, and Armored Warfare you know what teir (essentially battle rating) that you are facing and you don’t see people mass leave in those because you are bottom teir.
    They play their vehicles different instead.
    Given that there are tanks in about every nation in the game that can punch somewhat over their BR I can’t really see showing battle rating as an issue as you do. You also talked about how players that have been playing for a while already know indirect ways to tell what BR they are in for a match. Wouldn’t those players already abandon matches? I haven’t seen that happen.

      Kinda thought the same. Sure. Beginners of the game will not know enough to determine the BR of the match. But peeps with at least a bit of knowledge and interest into the game will be able to reliably get the server BR in every realistic mode every time more or less. Its super rare that noone in the lobby spawns his highest tank first so just search for the highest BR in the game and voila.

    This is a good idea, I also rekon they should bring back the arcade style point defence, but have it as a siege style setup in a city and defend, teams switch sides, CAs has a limit per per match like 3 or so, they could have static defenders pillboxes etc setup as the defence. Heaps of shit

    You can say EC could be good or bad, doesn't matter. But the game definitely needs a bit more variety that actually allows multiple vehicle roles to be effective. What does that looks like? Who knows, but I will have to say that outside of naval, (IMHO) ARB is the most stale/boring mode in the game.

    They could just narrow the match maker in top tier air rb. 1 full up and down gives many players in the match more than just an uphill battle, a f4 mirage or tornado f3 is just cannon fodder to a fox 3 now. Little under a year ago they did a decompression so these aircraft no longer even played SU-27s or F-15s. Now they not only face them once again but a whole slew of fox 3 slinger are in the mix, the F4F ice, J37 and new Kafir C10…. This is getting a little out of hand. It’s the equivalent of the USA going to war with a third world country in terms of difference in capability. I know it feels good to get the little chew toys to pick on but it has to change. I’ve been finding myself playing more and more Elite Dangerous and WOWs and most of my squad mates I play with on a daily basis as well. Not going to doom and gloom that the game is going on o die but it’s not going to do well.

    I do not want every single game i play to be a 1.0 uptier, this is why above 5.7 the game is pretty much unplayable (and if you play germany/USA you get very dumb teammates)
    I don't think its fair that some nations like China have really bad lineups, and you have one good tank and all the other ones are completely useless in an uptier. There should be some mechanism in place to stop 1.0 uptiers if your nation does not have a good lineup in that BR range.

      @hybrid_grizzly that's not a good game model. Let's say I'm trying to spade a vehicle and already have the vehicle under it spaded. I'd be forced to either play a spaded vehicle for a few days or play in constant up tiers for a few days.
      It's not going to work.

    Make leaving start of match hour long punishment.
    Someone who has to leave won't see a real punishment and someone who wants to run away from being uptiered can face a universal punishment.

Plus there's a possibility in higher BRs that there's no reason to respawn a new tank because the battle is already lost - it's just a map problem that games are decided in the first 3 minutes. The solution is to incentivize players to stay, even if it's an uphill battle. The obvious way to do this would be that if you end up in an up tier you get enough bonuses that you WANT to stay: a 10%+ research points, 5k silver lions, perhaps forgiveness of repair costs, significantly lower spawn points, a package drop if you stick around after 10 minutes with a random small booster, how about you get 10 golden eagles if you play until the very end of a match (or are one of the last 5 players alive) in an up tier?
      No game should punish players for opting not to play, it should reward players who decide to play. It's a game, not a duty.

      @@fidel-3470 I wasn't speaking in a vacuum I think those incentives actually exist to a degree (the medal awards for killing uptier though those shouldn't be singular) but yes the maps is a huge part of it for sure.
      The punishment is intended to undermine bots and players who don't want to play, it should exist and be used in the scenarios AND those benefits to reduce the chances

      @@Schmidt_64 I think the entire idea of a punishment system in a game that people play as a hobby is flawed approach: hand slapping players rather than fixing the gameplay mechanics. There's a underlying reason people quit matches early and the WT dev could diagnose that. For example, if players only have one vehicle or want to go into battle with just 1 vehicle, give them 3 spawns for that vehicle instead of just the two. A simple fix like this gives players what they want. They could fix the location of spawns by adding multiple spawning areas to each map, thereby preventing spawn camping. In my mind, these all seem like something a single dev could knock out in under 20 hours.
      As for bots, I don't see a lot of evidence that a bot is concerned with crew lock out. It is a mechanic meant to prevent players from rage quitting if they lose their first tank, and if someone wants to quit after losing just one tank I think crew lockout is a good feature.

      Make those players a single life game mode akin to WoT without the WoT junk and let those players hash out without affecting the line up enjoyers

    Im sorry but air rb EC A IS SHIT. The maps are too big, the AI SPAA’s are op, there are only 4 bases and they respawn over time which means there is no airfield to bomb like the good old days AND because the AI tanks are now physical models from ground battles they don’t react to bombs and staffing runs like the AI used too. So you could hit a tank with the normal bomb drop from a few years ago and it would not blow it up like it used too

    Implement a 3 BR system instead of the already 4 BR system for all battle modes... Example - 5.0 / 5.3 / 5.7 would be a BR match... 4 BR above your is always a major disadvantage... 3 BR battles would be more balanced...

      Isn't it already +/- 1 BR? 5.0 BR can see 6.0 BR and can see 4.0 BR. That's one BR up and one BR down.
      5.3 is only .3 BR higher than 5.0 and the same with 5.7, its only .7 BR higher than 5.0 and .3 lower than 6.0. There is no four BR system, its only a one BR difference.
      I agree that if we only make it a .3 BR increase would be fine. That way 5.0 will only see 5.3 and 4.7 BR respectively. So its not such a gigantic tech leap as it would be between 5.0 and 6.0. This is made worse in Air RB with jets. The difference between even 11.7 and 12.0 planes is immense. (For example the 11.7 Mig-21s carry early radar missiles and carry no IRCCM IR missiles, while they can see my Mig-21 Bison which carries the really strong R27s and R73 IRCCM IR missiles while also having a stronger radar and an HMD. Thats a whole generational leap in technology and its not even a full BR spread. And worse off, a whole BR above them they're facing FOX-3 missiles at 12.7 with the F-14 spam on American teams.
