  • Nourish or poison?
The homesteading mindset has completely transformed my life for the better. I went from being vegan to enjoying meat, from fearing the sun to soaking in its rays barrier-free, from thinking real milk was dangerous to raising my own dairy animals. I used to rely on grocery store food from unknown sources, and now I source my food locally as much as possible.
I grew up surrounded by ultra-processed foods-soda machines everywhere in school, pizza every day for lunch, and classroom treats. Even at home, convenience foods were the go-to.
But now I see the truth. So, where do you find it?
You find it on ingredient labels and by asking questions.
What’s canola oil doing to my gut? What’s the effect of artificial food coloring on my brain? What’s the impact of trans fats on my health? What is folic acid doing to my detox pathways?
Is it any wonder why so many people are sick? When we eat ultra-processed foods-packed with ingredients we can’t even pronounce-and don’t question what those ingredients are doing to our bodies, it’s not a surprise to me.
I don’t care if it’s the norm. If being unhealthy and sick is the norm, I don’t want it. We have the power to make better choices.
What’s insane is how twisted things have gotten. If you reconnect with your food, advocate for healthier options, and call out the toxins, you’re considered the “weird” one.
Well, I’m fine with being weird.
I know that sickness equals profits, but I don’t want to contribute to that cycle.
Take control of your food. Cook from scratch. Support local sources. Make conscious choices.
For me, it’s an investment in my health and my future-and I’ve never felt better in my life.
A nourishing diet, a positive mindset, and minimizing toxins have made all the difference.
    What do you think?
