Bruce is a menace, and Lenard is his partner in crime. I'm personally sick of seeing this deck everywhere and losing to it every time, and I hate that Lenard exists, but I understand why so many people play it. It's destructive, overwhelming, and easy to pull off all things considered. I just really hope the deck gets the shot in the leg it needs to not overrun the meta for the next 2 years. So long as people are having fun with it I suppose
Well its good, its just that we Bruce players give the opponent the opportunity to see if he/she can one shot us early before our second grade 3 turn for final rush. The first grade 3 turn is nothing special
Plus lets say by some reason I don't persona ride to another bruce, I'm going to have to rely on not having the opponent take a damage trigger despite pulling combo attacks.
Thank you so much for this video! I just got sleeves for my Bruce deck, so I put it together and I've been trying it out. I had a hard time figuring out the Lenard combo (took me awhile to figure out the good V Vanquisher combos too, especially with Fullbronto), but this helped me understand it. I'm already loving the deck; I've been trying to use Lenard as a threatening board-wipe, especially if the opponent can't afford to guard their rear-guards, so then they have to use more cards from hand to push back their next turn. Bruce is such a glass cannon deck, so reducing the opponent's hand in any way seems to be the play. Also, my roommate built a Eugene deck and has been punishing me with it. It seems the deck he built is actually kinda good. He built it as an early-rush beatdown deck that board-wipes every turn. I hate that I'm sincere about this question, but...Eugene best deck...?
Thank you for this video. I really can't play Bruce well even though I love how it reminds me of the Pale Moon. I agree with the rainbow trigger lineup. I use 8 crits line up and I noticed that my hand doesn't have many cards for combo pieces and to survive.
Also an amazing thing that Ive been noticing for acrobat presenter is that if you go second and have a copy in your hand I like to use it as a pressure tool giving bruce a bit more early game.
Our local community is very small so I really haven't had the chance to see how powerful Lenard can actually be. I still find Bastion really really hard to beat, especially when they're going first and retiring their fiend just gives them the opportunity to call everything out again and keep drawing with Alden. Another match-up that comes up very often for me is Orfist, who doesn't care at all if the tokens are retired. Which oversleeves are you using in this video? i've been using Standard sized Dragon Shield Clear Mattes, but they're a bit too big for Vanguard cards. Yours look like the perfect size.
I never played spike brothers, but i love Bruce! My Bruce deck is already more expensive then all the other decks ive ever played...... and i play yugioh too, so that means something..... :D
Actually, during the final rush turn that DF showed off, I think it would have been better to attack with Marjorie first , then attack with Lenard, to potentially call 2 cards out instead of just 1. From my experience my opponents usually no guard the first Lenard attack cuz it’s the “smallest”

Oh and about Marjorie effect, you can't boost with the Acrobat Presenter because Marjorie's effect required you to put a card from the rear guard to your soul when she's attacking, thus making Acrobat Presenter effect invalid because he technically hasn't attacked/boosted yet. At least that's what I and my local interpret.
It’s the timing of skills that allow you to do so. The process of the whole interaction is like this, 1. You boost Marjorie with presenter,which means Marjorie is “Attacking” triggering her skill and presenter is “boosting” triggering his skill 2. Both Marjorie and Presenter’s skills go on standby because both happen at the same time 3. You can now choose which skill to resolve first

I played 8 crit for a very long time too actually, just felt like something was always lacking or I was cutting it too close

Kris (DF) uses Yanoman Z Mini sleeves ( green packaging) they are super hard and tight fitting.
