    Thank you. Great resource for us. My favorite is the Bearly art glue also. I have never had a problem with it altering the cardstock or paper.

    Thank you for your timely video! I needed an envelope for a rather large valentine's day card for my daughter and had been trying to figure out an elegant but also easy way to make an envelope for it. My first attempt didn't accomplish much more than waste paper. I saw this video, immediately went to your library and found the envelopes. It took a little while to figure out how to resize the one on the page while not running through too much more paper and opted to eliminate the score lines to make the new size easier to create. I don't have a stylus yet, anyhow, only having received my Cricut a month ago. I can always use one of my score tools for that. I ended up making the envelope with the intricate cut out on the flap in pink and used the backing for the flap in metallic gold. It is really stunning when the gold shows through the openings that were cut out. Because of scheduling issues, I'm meeting my daughter on Wednesday so I have time to assemble it (I haven't glue it together yet). But I'm sure it will be a big hit. The envelope is almost prettier than the card. And, I did order a stylus tonight and should have it by tomorrow if I need to redo this.

    Thank you so much for this one! It is awesome. I learned a great time saver with your tutorial as well. On the money envelope one could also put a category name as well. Put a text box on the flap flipped up side down so it would be upright after folding over. Great tool for teaching a young person about budgets and savings.

These files are just what I need, with all size envelopes in the same place, so I can finish up my projects & get them in the mail in a timely fashion, instead of hunting through my files for all the individual envelope patterns I have saved.

    I am so glad that you did these envelopes. I make tons of cards and not all have designs have envelopes to go with them... I would love also if someday when your not so busy to make different size cards that will fit in these envelopes. I usually get my card ideas from DS and sometimes i would like just to have the basic card sizes already to go. Hope i am making sense. Kind of like templates of card sizes. So then i can just print the different size cards and have a bunch already cut out so i have them to make cards from scratch. I know i can do that myself but having the cards in different sizes in templates (like i think the joy has some of those already) i can cut out would make it so much easier. If you can not do that i perfectly understand because you already do so much for us all. And also would love for you to make some stationary like writing stationary with the lines on it to write letters to people to go along with my cards i send. i always want to send a little something hand written in neat lines since i always get everything so crooked when i do not have the lines. LOVE THIS VIDEO AND ALL YOU DO FOR US CRICUT CRAFTERS

    hi jennifer as always amazing 1 question how do you size these envelopes to the size you need thanks

    • @SABan-bh4hi
      @SABan-bh4hi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      An easy old fashioned way is to measure the diagonal of your card, add 2,5cm (or 1 inch). This gives you the size of the square you need to cut. Draw a square on your canvas in design space, turn it 45 degrees then place a rectangle slightly bigger than your card in the middle of the square. Change the rectangle to score lines select all and group.. A traditional type envelope in the size you want.

How to add different designs and styles as well as making liners for them. I have been buying them already made and been using punches on the flap and then putting paper as a liner inside. Are the indicated sizes of the envelopes correct? Every paper size chart I find shows that as the number (A1 vs A5) goes up, the paper gets smaller. So, A10 is 1x1.5 inches.
