This week's analysis is NCT 127's Kick It! The most requested content in my channel, enjoy!
*FIVE THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:*
1) *The whole point of the video is to help non-dancers, beginners or anyone who is in the process of learning Kpop choreographies to learn key points on executions.*
2) *The dance analysis at the start is a representation of crucial technicals on a particular move. I checked the consistency of the member picked in the dance practice.*
3) *The evaluation at the end is based on the clips used and dance practices. Stage performances are not included as there are many factors, like vocals and outfits, that can stiffen the technical body parts needed (specially torso).*
4) *Don't be disheartened if your bias is last or they did not get any box around them or they did not get the rank you expect them to have. It doesn't mean they aren't a good dancer. It means that the group overall are strong dancers.*
5) *It doesn't take a cent to be nice and respectful in typing your comment. Please do not cuss and do not fight. Be nice at all times.*

Mark’s dancing is sometimes overlooked and underrated. Of course Taeyong and Yuta are amazing dancers but Mark’s dancing always amazes me and he just has this style when he dances that I love.

lol this is so true. Mark has been put in like every NCT unit (including SuperM and excluding WayV) and people only say it's because he spits fire rap verses (well, it is true) but they never talk about how Mark dances. Like this boy's movements are so fluid and people don't talk about it that much!

The fact that Taeyong used to be the worst dancer during his trainee days and even his dance teacher said that his dancing is hopeless. But guess what? He is now one of the best dancer in kpop. He is such a hardworking and dedicated person... and that’s why he is my idol, my bias and motivation 👏💚
Thanks to Taeyong's hard work, he becomes one of the best dancers in Kpop. Taeyong is so talented and hard working yet some people in the comment section downgraded him. They even called him "overrated". This needs to stop.

@•Gacha May• Yes, Yuta is my bias and I see his potential in dancing, but Taeyong is better and I ain't gonna deny it. Yuta's dance style reminds me a lot of Itzy Ryujin's (Idk if u know who they are) But Taeyong is very flexible in terms of dance style while Yuta tends to keep his own. Yuta is definitely one of the best dancers, but Taeyong is just better. I think Yuta ties with Mark in terms of dance, but it's hard to tell because they have their own styles, techniques and strong points.

It's nice to have someone that sees eye yong's dancing ato eye with me, and judging from a non - opinionated perspective (aka spitting straight facts without being biased). Yeah, Taeyong's dancing ability suits all era's because of how flexible it is. And I agree with the one on Haechan, his dancing ability is definitely underrated. And yeah, Itzy is amazing! I' glad there's loads of multistans, especially ones who like Gacha!

I love the way Mark dances because he makes it look so easy. Although Taeyong and Yuta are dance-machines, Mark dances so smoothly always showing his techniques in a natural way like he had already learned the routine for years.
To think Mark & Taeyong is in multiple units and having to memorize all these dances just amazes me. All of them are awesome though, go NCT!!
I'd like to see SuperM's analysis. The group has the most talented dancers from SM's boyband. That would be very interesting.

Mark is such an underrated dancer, his dance skills are overshadowed by his rapping. Johnny and yuta tho are really good dancers, kinda sad johnny was lower in rank but srsly, he is a great, great dancer.

Mark is a fantastic all-rounder. Not only is he arguably SM’s best rapper, he’s also one of NCT’s best dancers especially in terms of cleanliness and technique, and a really respectable vocalist even though we don’t get to hear him that often. Mark isn’t even my bias in NCT. I’d say for me personally, my top five are Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, and Haechan. I have a normal level of affection for Mark, but I don’t lay awake in the middle of the night thinking about him alskdhskal. But I have immense respect for him as an artist and a member of NCT

I don't see anyone mentioning Johnny, but he is seriously a great dancer. He once said that he had to practice harder because he wants his movements to match everyone else since he's so tall.
Johnny and Jaehyun were my original biases until the others started being disrespectful and stealing me

He happened to be he last SM idol to graduate before SM let Jeno Jaemin and Haechan dropout because they could meet the attendance requirements

Taeil and Doyoung are more appreciated for their vocal abilities. We give both of them a lotta credit for their vocals but in terms of dancing there's just not much we can say abt them. They're trying their best ofc and I'm proud that they're improving each and every day
People aren’t really talking about Taeil in this because this isn’t their strongest suit, when the behind the scenes for their recording of kick it came out about 90% of the comments were about Taeil and his vocal abilities. He isn’t being slept on, everyone’s just giving other members chances to be appreciated as well. If anything Doyoung is being slept on tbh. They’re still great dancers but it isn’t their strong suit.

yuta is honestly one of my favorite dancers in nct. he has this natural grove to his movements. he is always giving 110% effort but makes it look so easy at the same time. i’m glad he got so much attention this video, it’s well deserved.

I tend to underestimate Mark a lot and I love how he proves to me time and time again that he’s very underrated when it comes to his dancing. His knees are so powerful and sharp, idek how to describe it but he hit every single beat on that dance break. Outstanding
SM chosed taeyong as main dancer of nct127 not just because his a good dancer (obviously) but they see so much potential in him though he's dance teacher said that he can't make it but still manage to be one of the top dancer during trainees/ rookies days. And now look at him sm even appointed him as a center coz his presence are really undeniably captivating. He has this effortless aura that demands attention. Not just that, he's really creative. every steps or dance has a story in it. He gets ideas in every move that every person can do daily or in anything, that we don't actually think that it'll fit as a dance steps. His footwork are smooth as fck, he loves freestyle that really shows his creativity in dancing and he's willing to do everything to make thier dance looks amazing even though it's kinda dangerous. I also love Mark coz when he dance it's full of energy and power. And taeyong also possess that but gracefully and in a smooth way. Taeyong is a choreographer but still stays humble about it and always thought the safety of his members first.
And he always suggest innovative ideas

Yuta is such an underrated dancer and singer. I just love watching him perform.
i call haechan an efficient dancer. his choices are clear and well executed, and take minimum effort to do. he doesn't overdance, which is why everything looks easy and effortless. the ending part in kick it really emphasises this when they're doing the stepping groove into the spin right before the outro. notice how others may look frantic or tired, he is quick and sharp. he uses his legs to gain momentum for the spin, and his arms are kept close to his body, making it the most on beat out of the members. idk man, i just really love the way he dances, and it's neat to see the changes between him and the other members.
again, this is kind of biased because haechan's my personal favourite dancer in 127. overall i love mark's style and it fits the best with this concept imo, his use of levels is really great and he's powerful without looking forced. i love how taeyong puts so much flavour into his movements, and he really is super talented. from an individual perspective i absolutely adore the personality and style he puts into his movements, but when i watch them as a group he's the weakest team player. (again just my personal opinion) i want to see them dancing as one, but taeyong just stands out too much from the pack to me. i wish that he would just tone down the extra flourishes during big unison steps. this totally isn't supposed to offend anyone, i just enjoy putting my thoughts out there!
i would reccomend watching shaky raindrop's video titled "why efficiency is elegant" out of their anatomy of a dancer series, it totally explains haechans dancing better than i do. :)
I've watched that video too and i agree with her points about haechan's dancing(even if i'm not a dancer, so what do i know lol! ) i don't ever think he underdance. based on what his members say about him watching his own fancam, i think he is more critical of his dance more than the others and i think his moves are well thought of in a way that will provide him to sing better whilst dancing and hitting both visual and audio appeal. but i am a heachan biased so this is my biased opinion.
And he still not top 3 in dance I'm laughing. Maybe because people don't see him overdance so it's not powerful like lmao.

I think it’s cause people feel his dance style is weird or whatever. While it is very different, the denial that he is a good dancer is plain ridiculous. I think people just find HaeChan and Mark more pleasing because of their stage presence or because they add a lot of variation to the dances, but ultimately Taeyong ( and Yuta) is an extent skilled dancer who just really knows what he is doing.

Plus, literally no matter who else was in Taeyongs spot, people would still complain about the center getting too much center time and lines. Taeyong is sadly just really easy to hate on, kinda like Jennie from Blackpink or Jungkook form BTS.

He’s good, definitely above average among kpop idols. but in nct he’s pretty average.
Better dancers are definitely taeyong, ten, jisung, jaemin, jeno, haechan, jaehyun, yuta.
Literally, why does no one appreciate Jungwoo’s dancing abilities? He is very powerful and versatile with the moves, and his moves are always executed sharp and clean. I feel like here was a missed opportunity for that🤔 But doesn’t mean I’m putting down Taeyong or Mark, they’re both amazing dancers and their charisma and character is much more defined, but in my opinion Jungwoo was much more defined in terms of the dance. If you watch his individual dance from that show, even his past ones, it’s amazing!

this video clearly mentions that his weakness is being a *dancer full of techniques* but lacks some added spice. also everyone has been saying he's such a good dancer with great potential since he debuted, so i think your opinion about he's being underrated might be a little biased but then again i agree with you wanting him getting a little more attention on his dancing :)
Wangsa Nalendra firstly my opinion is not biased by any way shape or form. Jungwoo isnt even my bias within NCT, so let’s just clear that up first😊 If a dancer is technique heavy, then that is NOT a weakness. I don’t think you understood what I was saying, so what I meant was: Jungwoo dances THIS dance a lot cleaner than the other at the top. But he wasn’t given that opportunity because he wasn’t in the beginning bit with the 5 of them. As well as this, as Jungwoo is using techniques rather than charisma, his moves came out a lot more crisp than Taeyong’s, Yuta’s and even some of Mark’s. So just because the other top 3 used more ‘charisma’, doesn’t automatically mean their dance moves were executed better. Yes, I know SOME people give him attention, but it’s nothing in comparison to others in THESE comments, when he done so well, it’s nothing to do with bias hun. Maybe just try understand my comment better before you reply :)
@@dre4mworlx245 oh yeah right, sorry i didn't get that on the first time. and um, maybe i can rephrase my opinion then. jungwoo is a dancer with great technical abilities, but then again that technical abilities might just be 80-85% of dancing. so, if only he had a little more seasoning (developed style,more groove, charisma, etc.) maybe he could get a higher position. and i'm not saying that his dancing looks flat or anything like that. but dancing itself wasn't just about perfecting steps, it's needs that little sprinkle of creativity in the move. a balanced portion between technique and style. so the higher is the technique, the higher frequency of the style being implemented. idk tho, maybe i didn't know stuff and acting like i am so this opinion could also be invalid. but well, this is all i got to say haha

I have to agree and say that Mark’s technique is my favorite as well. Like boy is fluid as frick but can also be extremely sharp. Also made an observation that he’s NEVER rigid, stiff ,or stationary, like even when he’s standing still, he’s moving.

WHY NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT YUTA I always thought he was one of the best dancer in NCT but he’s so underrated and he doesn’t have a lot of centers he’s quite often hide and I feel so bad for it!
I know!!! His style of dancing is probably one of my favorites. He looks soooo relaxed with his dancing, as if he could do that all day, but the next second you'll see him bustin' out the move.

hi ! i don’t have any particular song or group to request, but i’d like to request any dance that is like super easy and has simple movements. i think it would be interesting to watch so we can see how little details can really elevate a dancer’s performance and differentiate a great dancer from an average one, even if the dance is easy or simple.
