Thank you Elizabeth for recommending this game, I heard about it half year ago but finally I bought it, and you were right, it is awesome solo wargame :)
Thanks for these videos; I just got my kickstarter of the 2nd printing of Thunderbolt Apache Leader, and they will definitely help me learn (I played the original way back in the 90s, but this is a lot more advanced).
Just so watchers know, you can buy the VASSAL version of this game on the DVG site. It doesn't require you to own the physical version. This version is cheaper (about 1/3 the cost of the physical game if I recall) and works quite well once you learn a few things about VASSAL.
Great choice Liz. Maybe you can get Jason on board with this :) Do you sleeve all games? I thought these cards were very sturdy. Personally, I always use the variant where you randomly get your aircraft for the the extra 4 SO points. Keeps me from always choosing my favorite planes. The occasional unmanned aircraft in a game makes for a different experience.
@@BeyondSolitaire Thank you for your reply!! I watched your video on this subject then I ordered the game - and all the expansions for it. LOL. I'm looking forward to getting this game on the table.
It's a great game! I'm even slowly learning about military aircraft, a topic about which I knew nothing at all going in. (And it shows-get ready to watch me refer to all aircraft as "airplanes.")
DVG makes some outstanding games!

Just bought this. Your videos will help me immensely, Liz. Thanks.

Love your channel. Thanks for all your hard work!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate you watching. :)
Can't wait to see playthrough. I own and love War fighter and Corsair leader.

Thanks for the tip! I'm helpless at VASSAL but maybe should give it another shot.
This looks very interesting. I just added it to my wish list for a future purchase :-)
Great game! Great video!

I'm thinking about switching to the random variant to spice things up!
I would really like to play this game! Can't find it in the UK at the moment.
Try Board Game Extras.
what sleeves did you use for Your cards???
I used to get the Fantasy Flight ones, they don't make them anymore but I think Gamegenic is now making something roughly similar.

Do you play other DVG games??

@@BeyondSolitaire you should use Top Gun references
Good vid. However, the voice over doesn't match the visuals...
