- Here we show the last 10 generations of the mercedes-benz class S. This is not the chronological order. in fact, the S-Class designation for top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz models was officially introduced in 1972 with the W116.

Owned a s500 2002 model back in 2015. There was not a single rust , some untouched place below seats were still fresh as new. Engine was still great and it could touch full speedometer without any trouble(240 kmh). S is S class always, respect.

I wholeheartedly agree because I sat in another Mercedes of similar age (R129 SL500) and it felt like I was sitting in an ultra comfy & luxurious tank. Even though some bits are plastic, they don’t feel flimsy. It had a very built-to-last feel.

I grew up in a very working class area (a council estate) in a city in England. In the early 1990s, parked on my road for a time was an early 1970s registered W108/109 with stacked headlamps and clap hand windscreen wipers. It looked soooo classy compared to the other tat parked nearby.
