don't listen to them. I would not want to drive all over P-burgh for a Pierogi, a steak dinner yes. When you go, we used to park near he bars, restaurant at Union Station then take the clipper ferry to the ball-game,,,do a night game.
mansini’s bread is so so good. definitely some of the best bread i’ve ever had. i love seeing vlogs of people touring pittsburgh it makes my heart so happy
Another really good bakery is Lincoln Bakery in the Bellevue part of Pgh. The orginial oyster house has really good fish sandwich too. Thanks for sharing some of your travels.
Jake, You're right! The Original Oysters house is a Pittsburgh classic! Use to go to. Lincoln Bakery in Bellevue too. We used to go to a Chinese restaurant in Bellevue. I love Bellevue.
Thank you so much for this tips it’s my first time going into the city and love your recommendations you have such a beautiful personality you made the video very fun to watch and never informative thank you .
Lived in Pittsburgh for over 50 years. Started going to Nicholas Tea and Coffee back in the 1970's. I love Pittsburgh. I worked in a major hotel downtown and I even drive a cab at night in downtown Pittsburgh. This was all through the 1970's. So, I was there during it's best and wildest years. Hahaha
Hahaha Heinz Baked Bean Pizza; I definitely remember them! They showed up in the UK around 25 years ago & weren't around for long.....consigned to the books of history where they belong IMO!!!
my mom used to get the burnt almond torte from the closed location. ALL the time. She used to go to Mancini's quite a bit too. I've come to favor Emporio, especially in July with their bacon meatball. Put those suckers on poutine........omg yum! DeLuca's Diner in the strip has some amazing breakfast options with HUGE portions. I can't wait to go back just for the food. And a little north of the city is Sushi Bomb....all you can eat sushi off the menu, cooked to order, for one price. All kinds of juice and sake are available and the quality is amazing. Very yummy.
Welcome to Pittsburgh!! I live just north in Avalon, about a 10 min drive up 279 or down Rt 65! You need to do breakfast at Pamela's and get some biscotti from Enrico's, both in the strip! Grandpa's candy store has all kinds of old candy and Penzeys has wonderful spices to take home with you!! Have fun and I hope you enjoy Pittsburgh as much as we (Pittsburgh and near Pittsburgh) residents do!
You must do a steak Pittsburgh style. Also, they do salads correctly, French fries piled on some steak or chicken and greens with all of the fixings (carrots, tomato, cucumber). Their Pizza is different as well, after the pizza is baked, extra cold shredded cheese is piled along with toppings.
Pittsburgh is a really small "big" city. You can get to all the places on this video rather quickly from Monroeville. I would also recommend... Mineos Pizza (Squirrel Hill) Triangle Hoagie (Swissvale) Kelly O's (Strip District) Rodos (White Oak) Ritter's Diner (Bloomfield) ..and I dont reccomend the Pittsburgher at Primantis...but rather go with Cap'n Cheese with egg!! Way better sandwich!
Nice video! I grew up an hour away from Pittsburgh and it blew my mind when I realized most of the country doesn't have pepperoni rolls! I never knew they were regional to West Virginia/Pittsburgh originally. And the reason they usually aren't heated up at most places it because people will buy a bunch and take them to work or on road trips and stuff instead of bringing sandwiches.
I recommend Istanbul Grille which first mediterranean restaurant in Pittsburgh. You can find original fresh gyro, hummus, falafel, tapas platter that has 10 different mezze
Outside of Pittsburgh, in Washington, PA (nicknamed Little Washington) , is Osso’s Pizza. This is Steubenville style Pizza. It’s square, and come in cheese or pepperoni. That’s it! Cash only. If you do a tour of Pittsburgh suburbs, check it out!
The key to the primanti sandwiches is the mancini bread they use on it. I've had other Pittsburgh style sandwiches in various places but that Mancinis bread is the thing that sets it off. Mancinis is Egg bread.
Also, next time you're through the Burgh, yall gotta try Uncle Sam's cheesesteaks (now only in its Shadyside/ Squirrel Hill - I forget exactly : D) and the Roethlisberger from Peppi's
Just information, but you can buy a Black & Decker coffee maker for less than $25.00. Then purchase any drip coffee in the world. You can also purchase any high end cappuccino maker and it would still be much less than $7.00 per cup.
While Mancini's does make good bread, that's the WRONG pepperoni roll to get in Pittsburgh. If you make it back get the one from Jimmy and Nino's in the Strip
Mineos is the best pizza (Fiori’s would be second) Tessaro’s is the best burger Wholey’s is the best fish sandwich Mike & Tony’s has the best gyro S&D has the best polish food Salem’s is the best hot foods market Moio’s is better than Prantl’s and Uncle Sam’s is better than Primanti’s.
Lol lived in Pittsburgh my whole life and never been to Mckees point but I do live right up the street from perogies plus in the rocks,Idk how manicinis is in the rocks but provides plus is in the point??I guess
A Pittsburgher has nothing to do with a Philly Cheesesteak. I don’t know where you got such a thought. They are two wholly different yet delicious Quaker State options. True pepperoni rolls originate from County Club Bakery in Fairmont West Virginia. As a Pennsylvanian with a wife from WV my soul hurt.
You know ... For Decades the Original Hotdog Shop had The Best cheese steaks in Pennsylvania. Even Jay Leno thought so. They sadly closed during this Covid ordeal.
There are a few places you could have gone. Mile and Tony’s Gyro is the best gyro in PA. Pamela’s Diner has the most amazing breakfast. It’s lyonnaise potatoes are the best ever. As for Pizza I would say Bishop’s or Campiti’s. Both the best.
I Was Watching Your Pittsburgh Iconic Restaurants .. What Doesn't Make Sense Is .. Why Didn't You Mention The Addresses Of The Restaurants So People That Visit No Where To Go .. You Also Should Of Showed Perogies Plus Stuffed Cabbage Aswell .. Pittsburgh's Changed Alot But It's Always Been Known For Being A Melting Pot Of Heritages .. Their Foods & Festivals .. Just Based On That .. Should Give You A Huge Variety Of Ideas For More Videos In The Future .. Just Make Sure You Give Plenty Of Information So When Viewers Watch Around The Country They Know Where To Go If They Visit 😊

I’m from the UK, and I’m looking to go over to Pittsburgh later this year (I’m a Steelers fan). This was brilliant and made me look forward to it
don't listen to them. I would not want to drive all over P-burgh for a Pierogi, a steak dinner yes.
When you go, we used to park near he bars, restaurant at Union Station then take the clipper ferry to the ball-game,,,do a night game.

I live in Pittsburgh, but I still enjoy seeing other people explore the city.
Thanks for watching it!

Mancinis bread is literally the best bread I've ever had in my life
Yes!! Amen!
Well this was lovely. Thanks for visiting our city! Glad you guys got to check out Apteka too. So good!
Hahaha
That's cool. We really enjoyed the city, but it does seem like it's a lot different than it used to be.
I would swim the the Allegheny river for the last almond tort cake ,had this as my last ten year birthday cakes wow .and pramanti steak is epic.
They sold Prantls.. the new owners run it horribly
You need the perogies fried crisp in the butter you fried the onions in to go on top. Then a good glop of sour cream on top. Perfect.
Big Jim’s in the Run is awesome for a veal parmigiana sandwich!
sounds awesome. just moved here gonna check it out thanks.
You have to try so much more! There are so many hidden gems!
Hienz Ketchup is the life blood of PA. Seriously we put it on everything.
Fun fact, mancinis bread is what you had at Primanti’s. So you did in fact, have other bread products from them.
Love seeing your travel and food adventures! Watching this made me so hungry!!
Glad you enjoyed!
Hahaha Heinz Baked Bean Pizza; I definitely remember them!
They showed up in the UK around 25 years ago & weren't around for long.....consigned to the books of history where they belong IMO!!!
Wholly's!!!! Also, come back during Lent and check out the cify of the fish fry.
Wholey’s. For crap’s sake.
This was awesome! We live here and haven’t had that almond torte or those pierogis. Sounds like our homework assignment!
Oh, man... That almond cake was amazing!
One of my go-to sandwiches from Primanti Bros. is the capicola. Their fish sandwich is enormous and not a lie.
We've heard the fish is huge.
my mom used to get the burnt almond torte from the closed location. ALL the time. She used to go to Mancini's quite a bit too.

Guys so good to see you we love your videos. We miss not seeing the two of you in Orlando 😢😕😞.
Please be safe 🙏❤
Thank you for the sweet words.
Love your videos! Keep it up :)
Thanks so much!
Thank you for visiting our city! You two are amazing! I will definitely try tai cottage! Thank you!
Check out the Oakmont Bakery and Vinny’s Pizza
Oakmont bakery isn’t a bakery. Bakeries don’t sell sandwiches.. Party Cake is a bakery
Mancini's is the best bread ever:) I pick up a twist loaf every visit back.
Yes!!!
Tessaro's in the Bloomfield neighborhood is another iconic PGH restaurant.
We'll have to put that on our list for next time.
The Church Brew Works! such an interesting concept and great food!
We wanted to check that place out, but ran out of time. Hopefully next time. Thanks for the suggestion!

What a great video.. You guys are very fun and friendly... I shall subscribe...
You must do a steak Pittsburgh style. Also, they do salads correctly, French fries piled on some steak or chicken and greens with all of the fixings (carrots, tomato, cucumber). Their Pizza is different as well, after the pizza is baked, extra cold shredded cheese is piled along with toppings.
this is great. I'm going to Pennsylvania in September. I'll be between Pittsburgh and monroeville/penn hills. first time ever!
Pittsburgh is a really small "big" city. You can get to all the places on this video rather quickly from Monroeville. I would also recommend...
Mineos Pizza (Squirrel Hill)

It's a really cool city. Monroeville has some interesting stuff too! Hope you enjoy it!
@@hizzydollars ok but what about jim’s hot dogs in west mifflin
Oh neat! We had a great time in Pittsburgh. Some of the best food around!
I'm from Eastern Ohio and you see pepperoni rolls but its nothing like Pitt
Loved living there for years. Wish I could move back there.
It's a really great city.
I recommend Istanbul Grille which first mediterranean restaurant in Pittsburgh. You can find original fresh gyro, hummus, falafel, tapas platter that has 10 different mezze
That sounds wonderful. Thank you for the suggestion!
Lived in Pittsburgh and love the people. Restaurants and mainly pizza restaurants cannot compare, ever, to NY.
For over 22 years.
Love Pierogies Plus!!!!
Nothing compares to this restaurant.
Beto's pizza on 51. And don't dare ask them to melt the cheese. That's just how it is.
It’s not on 51
Going to a show at ppg what would be a good place to eat?
The pepperoni roll is up for debate so many places make them and many are just as good as the other.
Good to know. We enjoyed the one that we had.
Great!
The key to the primanti sandwiches is the mancini bread they use on it. I've had other Pittsburgh style sandwiches in various places but that Mancinis bread is the thing that sets it off. Mancinis is Egg bread.
Oh good to know. Thanks!
Primanti uses bread from Cibrone & Sons.
F
looks like you two need a few laps around Schennly Park after all that!
I grew up there now going back after 30 years
That's awesome!
Doritos in South Park for the hands down best fish sandwich.
Their food looks good!
Great video!
Two other places to check out are Gaucho downtown and Salem's Market & Grill in the strip.
Thanks for the recommendations!
The Allegheny Co. does a great job of policing restaurants they shut them down all the time.
Next you decide to come to pittsburgh you need to try original pierogie potato sauer kraut
Heinz pickles were the best! I cannot find them anywhere 😪
Pepperoni rolls were invented in Fairmont West Virginia
Tudors biscuit world invented the pizza roll.
Also, next time you're through the Burgh, yall gotta try Uncle Sam's cheesesteaks (now only in its Shadyside/ Squirrel Hill - I forget exactly : D) and the Roethlisberger from Peppi's
Thank you for the recommendations!
Pittsburgh has some of the finest vegan restaurants around.
We'll have to check that out when we visit again. We love all types of food.
gotta go to mike n tonys for a gyro with everything n add feta. also crab ragoons with moon sauce in southside. cant think of the name.🍻
Those sound good!
"Cambodican Kitchen" 👍
nice to see you show off my city, but i miss your disney videos also
Thanks for giving the other videos a chance and sorry we're not doing Disney stuff right now.
any place to eat a cheese steak sub?
The Pretzel Shop in the Southside and Danny's Hogies in the South Hills
DeAnola's Italian Restaurant in the Strip is a must.
Thanks for the suggestions!
I love my city. We have great food and the best pizza ..
Mancinis is hands down the best bread ever
You have to go to Oakmont Bakery
Thanks for the suggestion!
@@TheMagicGeekdom YES ! Oakmont Bakery !
You need to get Lasagna at Ricci's Italian sausage and stop at Penn Brewery for dinner.
Also a Bahn Mi at Lucy's in the strip
You also need to stop at Sarris
Sounds good!

pepperoni rolls originated in wv .nefore that pa didnt know what a pepperoni roll was

Lol lived in Pittsburgh my whole life and never been to Mckees point but I do live right up the street from perogies plus in the rocks,Idk how manicinis is in the rocks but provides plus is in the point??I guess
Lol sometimes we say the wrong things and don't catch it. And then don't catch it while editing either. Definitely meant Mckees Rocks lol. 😆
Mancinis bread is the finest bread I have ever tasted. No other bread can compare.
I've lived in NY for a good part of my life, however, Mancini's is the best bread.
Mancinis is the best!
The best pizza in Pittsburgh is Mineo's on Murray Ave in Squirrel Hill
Pamelas is the best breakfast!!!
It was really good!
You missed Pages dairy. An ice cream ikon!
I just looked that up and it looks great! I'll have to remember that next time we make it to Pittsburgh.
So where is McKee’s Point? You meant McKee’s Rocks. Not to be confused with McKeesport.
Orams donuts in Beaver Falls you missed that .
Oh we did! Thanks for the suggestion. Hopefully we can try it next time.
Catsup is ketchup. That’s just what other languages/parts of the world calls it. In Mexico for example, it’s known as catsup and not ketchup.
Thanks!
That is McKees Rocks, not Mckees Point.
Bear’s Inn. Chicken wings in Harwick,PA
Those look really good. We have to try them next time.
Mineos pizza!
That looks good!
Mineos and Betos are tied for #1
Catsup sweetheart is the ACTUAL way to spell it!
Prantl's is amazing just never try ordering a wedding cake from them. They are beyond incompetent in that area.
Lol oh no is there a story behind this information?
McKees rocks
thanks
You can't get the fries and slaw on the side because the little that'd be left would expose a true embarrassment of a sandwich.
You know, that seems pretty fair. lol
Isalys is cool.
you missed the triangle
The Battleship
i live in pittsburgh
Nice!
Check out all the drunks here too :)

should have gotten a capicola, genoa salami, or pastrami...something with a bit more taste than the burger
Definitely will have to next time! Thanks
You need to ask locals where to dine.
You missed a bunch 😢
Where are your favorite places to dine in Pittsburgh?
Salad cream sounds like a bad porn movie
😂😂😂
