No skill here. Just some artificial difficulty. Bleed summons etc. they should not have scadutree fragments because it puts you in backfoot than guy who have explored more.
Ringed City really did hit different. It felt like the ultimate evolution of the Dark Souls franchise and what a way to finish things up. A new sanctuary, being painted in a burning world, that was painted in a ruined world.
As Elden Ring is the largest game in the Soulsborne franchise, Shadow of the Erdtree will be the biggest FromSoft DLC to date. It’ll add a new power scaling system and 8 new weapon categories along with new weapons and magics in general. Miyazaki said “an Elden Ring DLC should at least be as large as Limgrave” which is like 1/5-1/6 of the base map, but this is the man that said Elden Ring should take 30 hours to beat, so he’s likely underselling the actual scope of the DLC. It’s going to be insane.
Tbh for me it’s like this AotA: 8/10 Sunken king: 6/10 Old iron king: 8/10 Ivory king: 9/10 Ashes of ariandel: 6.5/10 Ringed city: 9.5/10 I don’t have a ps4 :( Ivory king is my favorite of the ds2 dlcs, frozen eleum loyce is a great area that is designed extremely well, frigid outskirts sucks but it’s optional. Fighting the burnt ivory king is a great finale. Ashes of ariandel is sorta mid tbh, the only parts I like are the corvian settlement and friede. The other areas suck and champions gravetender is pretty annoying. Ringed city has incredible bosses, except halflight, and the ringed city and dreg heap are really cool areas. But the second half of dreg heap, the earthen peak ruins with the angels constantly harassing you in a poison swamp, that part is kind of annoying. And the very start of ringed city with all the archers. But aside from those flaws it’s a great dlc. Mostly due to demon prince, midir, and Gael.
Why are people placing sunken king low for the sake of doing so? It has the best level design out of any of the dlcs and has a far more interesting area than something like oolacile. Sinh is the 2nd best dragon boss fromsoft has ever made, elana is a fantastic gank fight, and MOST importantly is how bows and arrows are actually useful for once. The entire level is fantastically well designed
@@Sephirothkingdom782I agree with some parts of what you said. Sinh is great and I agree that he's the second best Fromsoft dragon fight (now that I think about it, actually third if you count Divine Dragon). I don't agree on Elana tho. She's pretty mediocre. There isn't really anything I find enjoyable in her fight. She doesn't look cool, doesn't have any attacks that feel satisfying to dodge and her summons feel cheap. And the third boss in the dlc, the gank squad, is terrible. The level design is alright but imo nothing special either and it can be a bit frustrating at parts with the invincible sanctum knights and spikes on the ground. Better level design than Old Iron King which is just frustrating almost all the time and looks pretty boring in comparison but worse than Ivory King. Ivory King is aesthetically more pleasing imo, has a more diverse and therefore interesting design and searching for the knights as a buildup to the great spectacle boss at the end is a great experience. And while I think Old Iron King has terrible level design it makes up for it with bosses. All three of them are enjoyable to fight. Blue Smelter demon gets kinda pushed down since it's a reskin and the runback is atrocious but the fight in itself is still enjoyable. And Fume Knight and Sir Alonne are just great bosses all around with the latter being held back by the runback again. All in all that would lead me to placing Sunken King in last place out of the three.
@@Eo-ms3kw sunken king is personally 2nd since I found it overall more enjoyable than ivory king. Idk why but I just couldn’t get into the enemy design of that area, it felt like a chore. However yea I loved Eleum loyce as a whole, in my opinion it’s a better version of anor londo. Ivory king was sick but i just found Aava normal and the optional boss was horrible, but everyone knows that anyway. I’d rather fight the gank squad since i atleast feel SOMETHING out of fighting them. Also for iron king, I agree that the level design is very questionable at times but the actual path of the dlc is very well created. It’s great verticality that the base game was missing. Going lower and lower and exploring different areas of the map that way till you finally reach fume knight in that dark area is really cool, it gave me Star Wars vibes
Crown of the ivory king is 10/10. Other than horse fuck valley, eleum loyce is an amazing designed level, and Ivory king is the coolest boss in the series
No way bro, ivory king has a good area but TERRIBLE hitboxes and the burnt knights just gank you almost all time. Also has aava the most bullshit boss in the entire saga 💀 +the main game mechanics sucks, so 6.5/10 for me

ringed city just feels like the rest of ds3s areas. Ariandel mixed it up, but overall still felt the exact same. They didn't really do anything too crazy with those dlcs compared to the other games. I'd say 4/10 for those two.
You call Artorias the GOAT? Then give it only a 9? There are other entries with a 10, Thus I endeavour to ask: How canst thou darkest soul bequeath unto thee thine own tag of "GOAT" with assumed adequacy, if tis' betwixt upon a deranged meer 9... edit: I mastered the nonsensical Dark Souls cinematic lore speech pattern.
Yes! Balloney might I say, it is the first entry of a fantastic series of videogames for the Playstation in which only the most deranged civilian would not agree to such topic. Oh! If it isn't tea time! (The best time) I mussn't be late!
Ashes of Ariandel is actually a 7/10, since the only truly good thing is Friede boss fight Now the Sunken King DLC of DS2 is definetly a 9/10, it's pure RPG experience with 2 epic boss fights (and a pretty lame one that takes of that 1 to get 10)
Ringed city will forever be my NO.1 with the greatest boss in all souls games and 2 more mad hard boss fights built to perfection(I struggled with midir more than gale) + top tier lore
As someone playing through the dlcs of ds2 all 3 are absolutely dog shit. The bosses are easy with a boss run harder than the boss. I beat fume on my 2nd try. Andy the sunken dlc deserves a-9 score.
@@professorgoku7530why are you so mad? Sunken city has objectively the best level design fromsoft has ever made since they intuitively used bows in a fantastic way by implementing it in the level traversal. That alone is a feat that puts the dlc at atleast a 7, and 2 of the 3 bosses in the dlc are actually great, being elana and sinh. Both of those fights are very well balanced and require some sort of skill and environmental spacing. Iron king is even better and is only worse in the level design uniqueness. Fume knight is an iconic boss and is one of the best fights in the trilogy. Sir alonne is one of the best fights they’ve ever made since it has quite possibly the best boss arena in the entire series alongside gael, along with the best soundtrack in ds2 and a really sick boss moveset that hits all the right emotions of the fight. @@user-xf8rn7qz4b I also cannot understand. My best guess is a combination of the release timing, mixed with it being their first souls game. Just like how elden ring reached so many new players because of fromsoftwares reputation, ds3 did the same off of dark souls 1s coattails. Ds3 is reduced and nuetered in nearly every way except technical advantages that come from being made a console generation newer. Bb also gets a lot of its flaws ignored. People give its weaker elements a pass. I think bb is the second best to ds1. But that's because it is ds1... just with some variations to the mechanics and without a lot of the same depth. Bb is half the game and the worlds interconnectivity was abandoned probably because of rushed development. On top of that it has its own issues independent of the other games. All of the games have flaws. Theyre all great games but i could rip each one apart for a long time. Dark rolls 3 is just inferior to the rest and the dlcs have nothing but a few good bosses.
10/10 if you rate it lower because of the difficulty: Git better or get better patience and try untill you finnish the bossfighte. If i can kill some of the hardest bosses underlevel’d without summons or multiplayer you can to.
The Old Hunters was absolutely amazing. Got some iconic weapons added to the already iconic weapon lineup. The Ludwig fight was absolutely incredible as well. The reward for beating him leading to an iconic Fromsoft weapon was great.
My most complain about artorias of the abyss and ringed city dlc was just how short it felt, all i could think of please let me explore the goddamn place more 😭😭 I'm so happy shadow of the erdtree are so expansive I'm just like so happy to just take in the scenery and architecture in the world even if people complain theres barely anything to do.

Ringed City really did hit different. It felt like the ultimate evolution of the Dark Souls franchise and what a way to finish things up. A new sanctuary, being painted in a burning world, that was painted in a ruined world.
Shadow of the erdtree became an 11/10
That sleep incantation in the trailer boutta go crazy on Godskin Duo
Old hunters is the best thing ever and has one of the most difficult fights in the franchise

Old iron king: 8/10
Ivory king: 9/10
Ashes of ariandel: 6.5/10
Ringed city: 9.5/10
I don’t have a ps4 :(
Ivory king is my favorite of the ds2 dlcs, frozen eleum loyce is a great area that is designed extremely well, frigid outskirts sucks but it’s optional.
@@Sephirothkingdom782it's your average ds3 bias and ds2 hate.

Ashes of Ariandel is actually a 7/10, since the only truly good thing is Friede boss fight
Now the Sunken King DLC of DS2 is definetly a 9/10, it's pure RPG experience with 2 epic boss fights (and a pretty lame one that takes of that 1 to get 10)
Ringed city will forever be my NO.1 with the greatest boss in all souls games and 2 more mad hard boss fights built to perfection(I struggled with midir more than gale) + top tier lore
Ringed city only had good bosses, the actual level was so damn annoying
As someone playing through the dlcs of ds2 all 3 are absolutely dog shit. The bosses are easy with a boss run harder than the boss. I beat fume on my 2nd try. Andy the sunken dlc deserves a-9 score.
@@professorgoku7530i personally agree but i think he is talking about the ds3 dlc
