Four hours of freezing and these things

You might not want to watch this......It was not good !
A freezing cold day metal detecting the old cellar holes here in NH and walking the old abandoned dirt road. The cold weather effects the ground and it was really a tough day of locking on to targets in the nail iron . I left cellar hole number one which I had done so well at the day before and hot the road. I did manage one coin and hit the second cellar for a while. For four hours I walked, swung and dug nothing but casings ....OMG it was unreal and kind of funny but that is how it goes sometimes. These old places are not free from people littering and you have to dig those signals.

Well, that's the way we all know it can go. Still, out and moving which is good. The "spade" you uncovered looks like the plow point from a cultivator. Could be more modern or it could be from one of the push kind with the large wheel in front. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Charlie. Been a bit since I posted. Looking to get back at Digging again and want to update. I have an older Fisher F2 that I started with years ago. Have 3 coils for it and its a great machine. Well I see you are still using the Fisher F19. What are your thoughts. It is getting to be an older machine or maybe the F22. Look forward to hear back on your thoughts
