    Cap’n, I was betting the hinge was gonna snap just as you swung the live-edge rafter over the peak. Thus making it a rustic ridge beam… albeit one lying on the ground with the tent beneath.
    Hey Cap’n, did you notice the bucket attach was sloppy? (Asking for a friend.)

    There’s no doubtin’ the ingenuity, the determination, the creativity and the humour, Cap’n… but I don’t think you get enough credit for powers of deduction (Sherlock would agree with your analysis of the tree situation), your masterful control of anything that digs holes - or shifts wood (wielded with the hand eye coordination of a neurosurgeon) or… or your editing skills. Lynch, Coppola, Spielberg, Scorsese… I can see the influences are many and varied.
    One singular adjective, however: genius.
    (Oh. And the weldin’… can’t forget the weldin’…)

    Stay cool, we got a "cold front" yesterday, (yep the weatherman used those words) dropped the high to around 95 degrees, and ran the humidity up to something like 30%. And to see the positive side, like you always do, that's an advantage of not seeing rain since May. Thanks for the video, and take care!

    • @pdqkevin
      @pdqkevin 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You need a hurricane. Got more than 4 inches of rain with no wind and 3 days under 80 degrees. Of course now a week later it is 108.

      @@pdqkevin I'll take rain any way we can get it, but since we're 300+ miles inland, a lot of folks would have to suffer for it, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

    Little word of wisdom from a mechanic: if you're able (I know the truck is second hand) use your parking brake when unloading trailers like that. All the force from that several thousand pound machine is pushing forward against the tiny little parking prawl in your transmission and is really hard on your engine mounts. Using the brake puts the force into the suspension and frame which stands a much better chance of holding you still. Again, if you're able. It's rare on older trucks in the rust belt for parking brakes to work because they're hardly ever used.
