- Today I explore the Sinnoh region and use every Shiny Hunting Method that is found in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Pokeradar, Masuda Eggs and The Grand Underground are the three methods on hand.. the underground is the worst LOL

I actually did the briefcase simulator in this game. Luckily Turtwig shined super fast. Say what you want about this game at least they didn't shiny lock the legendaries/mythicals.
Very true. I love that you can shiny hunt mostly everything. Great job sticking through the briefcase. I quit out at 1300 turtwig and one shiny starly

I'm still disappoibt in SV for doing us dirty on shiny locking all legendaries.

@pokemonfreak6669 I mean, I think if they bothered to actually code the game they would have shiny-locked the legends as they literally just copy pasted the actual code from Diamond and Pearl, and its also why some D/P mods work seamlessly on BDSP

I’ve done 2 shiny hunts in the Underground and I found them surprisingly fun honestly. We’re the odds good? GOD no. Did one of the hunts take 76 hours? Yes. But did I have fun? Kind of! And that’s more than I can say for most shiny methods. Congrats on the cool shinies!
Which ones did you find? I actually kinda liked the underground too. Especially when we had a whack ton of ppl down there hunting together. 3 weeks was kind of a drag for me cuz I try to get a video out a month 😂

@@odeegrotsniffer4166 I don't hate the game because it's popular to hate it. I hate it because in every metric it is not a good remake or remaster, regardless of how you look at it.
Well that doesn't necessarily make it bad immediately. Sure, it's purpose isn't done right. But, diamond and pearl were decent, so this game being the exact same thing but a bit better instantly better than diamond and pearl.@@NeoHereYT
@@ashwinthrivikramrajesh7163 yeah but dp were the worst gen 4 had to offer. People really love sinnoh because of Platinum, and making a remake that omits any of the positive changes made by that game is an immediate regression. The only positive change they made in BDSP was adding the Grand Underground and if you weigh that next to all the things they took out from DPP, like underground bases, regional dex, and updated teams for gym leaders; it’s kinda hard to say this was a good remake.

My exact thoughts
There are pros and cons to every shiny hunting method in every pokemon game, some outweigh others but I like that, shiny pokemon are Easter-eggs and shouldn't always be easily accessible, I recently finished bdsp and almost forgot you could shiny hunt because I was playing a remake to the traditional pokemon games I feel in loved with on Gameboy, having a shiny pokemon back then was a real achievement 1/8000 or something like that lol I like taking my time catching my shiny pokemon, I like a good story to go along with them too. I've been playing Scarlet and Violet since release and bdsp is a refreshing take on how it use to feel finding a shiny pokemon, Not to mention that none of the Legendary/Mythical or Starter pokemon are shiny locked, it's been awhile since we've had that.

I am a veteran of briefcase simulator when this game came out. Shiny Infernape named Salsa after the monkey from Mother 3! Trying to get shaymin now, I started during the event and uhhh... It's been a long time. This is such a chill watch while I do my encounters!

Bruh the first time I played BDSP, I got so bored and annoyed that I got sick for an entire week. Like, I kid you not when I say that the day after I first played BD, I had the highest fever ever. I have BD just to shiny hunt Shaymin, and then I'm never playing it again. That being said, I commend the patience taken to make this video! It was fun to watch while eating breakfast. 😄

Bdsp is only the worst for people who heard faithful remake and didn't manage their expectations. (Faithful to even the glitchy bs that ds dp was lol)
I didn't like it because of the difficulty curve. This is why we needed other difficulties at the beginning. It's a gradual walk until you go to the elite 4 and champion then, it's like battling a competitive person. This is coming from someone who won the first time. I refused to play it afterwards.
@Sailor-Khione understandable. This is the reason why I refuse to play hgss unless it's a rom hack.
My favourite one-time method is doing forest doubles hunt, I got a shiny budew in 5 hours in that one

Finally a BDSP shiny Pokemon video. There are so few on youtube (maybe because this game is complete ass). I also have bdsp but only because of shiny arceus and i also did some radar hunts which is a nice thing to do by the side. But i would never do underground hunts because the shiny chances are just a mess in this game
I never thought I would miss this game, never found a shiny, hated the story and don't think gen 4 is that good, but I missed chaining and revisited it, no shiny btw
I was so excited for BDSP. Honestly I do need to knock out some Radar hunts because that's what I was most excited for with this game.

Fun fact, Manaphy is not a legendary, so currently no legendaries can breed
I personally group all them as legendary. Mythical, sub legendary, ultra beast and regular legend. I guess I should specify in my videos but I like to group them up since I host a shiny hunting event every year called Week of Legends and we can hunt any under the legendary umbrella
@@yugzz that's all fine and dandy to do a "legendary" week and include all the different categories of rare pokemon. But in normal conversation, using proper terminology is important, not just what you want it to be.

@yugzz just because I came back, I'm gunna reiterate, mythicals are in no way legendary pokemon, so using them for your event is fine, but outside of your event, don't group them together.

It is, it's a little tough cuz the resets take a good chunk of time and it is full odds but you sure can! some would also say it's very worth it

I came back to watch this cuz I'm currently reseting for Regice myself, at the time of this comment regice is at 3,200+, last time i went this long on a reset hunt was with dialga at 3,295 resets, Regice really took a look at dialga and was like:

The chain breaking because you encounter an edge patch was only in Gen 4. This "feature" isn't in BDSP, edge patches aren't relevant
Kinda wild how some of the smallest changes were made yet all the old glitches were exactly the same. I'll keep this in mind if I head back to radar. I mostly follow the old radar rules and usually keep a chain going

yes, if you have the mystery gift. if you had snagged the mystery gift for "Oak's Letter" when it was available then you can still hunt it

You basically just said the odds went from 20% down to 80%. See how that doesn't make sense?

If it becomes more likely, then the odds have increased
If it becomes less likely, then the odds have decreased

Likely because in terms of pricing, BDSP is arguably worse (as someone who prefers BDSP). Let's Go has new mechanics and new mons (via trade regional forms) while BDSP is just Diamond & Pearl with a few minor additions.
Especially compared to HGSS (which honestly didn't even fix its problems but still added notable content) and ORAS, BDSP is a disappointment while Let's Go manages to just...exist.
People want to feel the right of righteous fury and dog piling is great for that. It's pathetic.
I actually love BDSP, the let's go pokemon games were worst tbh.
