Well you gotta remember this is just a cut of all of the scenes that contain Kangaroos, which is 5 minutes out of an hour and a half film. So it would have been spread out more. It makes more sense in the context for sure.
TigerSwipes actually it was a movie about 2 guys who took a maniacs money and put it in the jacket and started taking pictures with the roo they hit but he wakes up and hops away with the money so technically its not about the roo its about getting the jacket off the roo
They added these bits in after it was supposedly finished because all of the test audiences hated it so they decided to add them in to make a trailer so kids were ticked into watching it. It’s one of the most pathetic things ever.
Fun fact the original cut of the movie had EVEN LESS KANGAROOS because it was just a raunchy crime comedy but nobody liked anything about it except for that kangaroo. So they literally brought back the cast to add more kangaroo jack

For a lot of people, this movie was their first real experience with being tricked by false advertising. And they don't want you to remember, but in all the promotional materials for this movie they really pushed hard that it was a kids movie about a talking kangaroo when it in fact was not.
