The breathing is key like the man said. The hindu push up use to be one of my main exercises because it just doesn't help with building strength but balance and flexibility as well.

Not only chest and triceps but also the serratus anterior, your lats, shoulders,deltoid, your erector spinae and quads ... all round push ups...a must if you want overall fitness...

I learned to do the breathing both ways along the way as well , this video is good. It takes some months to actually perfect the form of this exercise but it's definitely worth it.

I was taught the Hindu push up differently. The diving part is the same but after you swoop up from it you then reverse back the same way that you swooped in. This is where you push your bodyweight back to the start position and it's a lot harder than sticking your bum up, putting your head down and going back to the start position. Time under tension is more constant using this method.

That’s a bomb diver push up
It's a harder variation called the dive bomber. Gives more resistance to your upper body if you keep your feet close.
