If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to buy the steel and have it bent. I need to re skin my JD550 and I'm trying to figure out if it's cheaper to have one bent up or buy the pre made one that is 1,000 bucks

I don't know exactly what it was. I had some other things done at the same time, I think this was a bit more as it's 3/8 AR 400 vs the thinner cheaper material. This is a bit overkill for this size dozer but I don't have to worry about putting a hole in it pushing against something that I probably shouldn't be anyway 😂

@@LifeWithChase yeah that should make it pretty tough being AR400. Your video made it look easy with it cut into 4 sections

Chase, would you mind sharing who rolled the steel skins? I’m looking for some custom rolled AR steel as well

I don't even know the name of the place, it's been bought out a few times but they don't do small jobs like this for individuals typically. I have a family friend who has worked at a place for years that does industrial work for mills and factories and I got him to get it done for me. Said he was thinking about retiring soon, so I will have to find somewhere else to get things like this done if he does. unless he could still get things done through someone he knows.
