    Welcome to iTripReport's flight reviews, which I focus on reviewing both the soft product and hard product of airlines around the globe. I strive to give you guys a first person perspective of different aspects of the flight. Including the ground service, onboard service, and those views that come with the flight. As you can see, I record quite a lot of the experience to make sure I record what you want to watch. As always, thank you so much for watching.

    I’ve flown on CAL business class before from JFK to POS. Really excellent flight. Impressive was that I was allowed three checked luggages at no extra cost.

      The ticket to go to Trinidad on caribbean is 5x more expensive than traveling to Jamaica Henry the reason trinis like to fly with the American carriers instead 😅

    Thanks for sharing this trip report. Caribbean Airlines is the main airline of my home region and I am impressed with your thorough research! I am yet to fly on one of their MAXs but I'm sure their service now is just as great as I've experienced. They have always captured that uniquely Caribbean feel and flavour every time you're on-board. Thanks for showcasing the airline to your audience!

    I'll score this video a 9/10. Not only was it informative; it was beautifully clear, and included some taxi, takeoff, cruise and landing. You lost that 1 point for not walking to baggage claim (0.5) and exiting the airport (0.5). Well done though, mate! 🇬🇧🇯🇲

      Had I known people want to see it, I would've posted more haha.

    I felt really proud watching this. As a Jamaican familiar with Air J and BWIA I had no confidence in a Caribbean-based airline. This video has changed my mind. My only disappointing seeing is that the plane looked more than half empty. Can't be good for business. BW needs to find way to encourage more passengers to fly with them, starting with me people who once thought like me.

    • @ITripReport
      @ITripReport  ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean, i Guess since this flight was in the middle of hurricane IAN making its way around the Caribbean, I can justify it not being as full. However yes, as some of my friends who were born in the Caribbean have told me, they all had major distrust for carriers down there, and they are all equally as happy and shocked about Caribbean’s positive turn the last few years! I’m glad you enjoyed!

I’ve never flown first, but always economy to and from Trinidad either from MCO or FLL to visit family in Trinidad. They’re one of the best airlines I’ve flown. Great service, great FA’s, and the price is amazing.

      CAL has always been a clean plane, I should know since I’ve been flying with them since 1982 when they was bee wee. they operate at a very high cost and lose a lot of money in spite of, I should know because I also worked with them from 1983-85.
      There’s a lot of things I despise about them especially their ground crew at piarco in port of spain, who make checking in a total hassle, but once you’re past that, then flying CAL is a very cool experience. it’s the only thing that makes me come back to that airlines, their inflight service and baggage policy.

    I've flown Caribbean Airlines many times from YYZ to POS, but never in business class. When my family and I moved to Canada in 1990, I think we flew on one of the last L1011s under the BWIA branding. I loved those planes, but they were beginning to show their age. They may have a reputation for not departing on time, but they have one of the best safety records in the aviation world. When I was returning to Toronto from Trinidad in 2020 (before COVID-19 hit), they switched the aircraft, because the pilots didn't feel confident in the aircraft we were supposed to use; there was some mechanical issue, so they swapped the plane. Even though it was an inconvenience for everyone who was already on board and seated, it's nice to know that the pilots care about safety. The next time I fly with them I want to try the business class. The FA in the video at the start looked like my niece, she works for the airline, but I don't think she's ever done that route. It also depends on what time of year you travel. During carnival season, expect the price of the tickets to be quite high. We usually go down around December, just don't travel on Christmas Eve, the airport is a madhouse.

    I find funny that Puerto Rico being in the Caribbean has no Caribbean Airlines service 😐
    Last time we had a significant presence of international airlines was when AA still had the SJU hub open, after that, all One World airlines stopped service, leaving Iberia (Spain), Copa (Panama), Air Antilles, West Jet, Air Transat, Air Canada (3 Canadian), and Avianca (Colombia) as the only ones. Last news we heard but no more info has been revealed is that Viva Air is set to start service this year and probably Aero Mexico is coming back!

    Wow! Highly impressed. I am a flight attendant for a US carrier and the MAX I work on is nothing compared to Caribbean Airlines. The meal service looked exceptional, especially with Moet as a wine selection! With that kind of service I am surprised they didn't hand out hot towels before serving the meals. However, I agree...I do see some financial wastage when they reconfigured the aircraft. It is 2022, they need to install WIFI on those aircrafts and do a better job with the movie and TV selections, especially with the exorbitant cost of tickets! The safety briefing should be seen by EVERY passenger especially if they are hearing-impaired. Do you know if the flight attendants manually conducted the safety demonstration for the economy passengers? If not, that is a safety issue. Overall, I am impressed with your video and will be using my flight benefits to travel on the MAX to go home to Trinidad. I need to see this in person.

      My original plan had me flying back on cayman, but because of the incoming hurricane they moved the flight to leave earlier in the day. But they are high up on my bucket list, as is Surinam!

    Hi, I just want to say I am from Trinidad & Tobago and that Caribbean Airlines is the carrier of Guyana, Jamaica and TT but the Government of Trinidad & Tobago strictly bought over and owns AirJamaica which means that it is only owned by The Government of Trinidad & Tobago. :) You're Welcome!

      As Trinbagonians we also need to help properly educate people from miss information. CAL is a state own entity of Trjnidad and Tobago. CAL originated from the closure of BWIA also a TnT airline. CAL also brought out Air 🇯🇲. Other, the service is to be for the region and other international destination, so it would make sense to name the airline Carribbean airline representing the region. I know some may want to claim and out right place TT last on the list is not cool. Other great vid, if you didn't know, now you know 😉
