You didn't edit the actual boundary... :-( You set the actual boundary to be not visible and drew a PL in the area that you wanted the actual boundary to be. Do you know how to edit the surface boundary? I am still searching for that information.
Hey Joel! Thanks for the comment. After reading up on Boundaries in the Help files, I don't believe this is possible using a Boundary. Depending on what you are trying to accomplish, you'll probably have to use another type of Civil 3D object or a polyline.

Yes, you are right. We had limited survey data for this surface, so that was the easiest option to produce a workable drawing.

I dont understand your logic of hiding the boundary and make a polyline with the same points of origin
