This beer is incredible , here is why. It`s German, it`s a Pilsner, and it`s made with spring water from the Arnsberg forest “Kaiserquelle”, . For the money here in the UK it`s a no brainer. Lots of other brewers use tap water, but this is the real deal. I am amazed they can make so much of it
Just got 3 bottles from Tesco today and am very impressed, really great hot weather lager too as soooo refreshing! Have been drinking a lot of the imported Czech brewed Staropramen and Bud Budvar from Lidl lately and this is up there with them but just so different, so drainkable but the feeling of the effect of the alcohol is very noticeable and very pleasant too, it doesn't creep up on you, there's a very noticeable but smooth but gradual rush to head sensation which I'm loving, out of the three lagers I've mentioned Budvar is up there as my ultimate favourite, but on warm days, bbq's etc. I think I'll be reaching for this , stunning lager!
A great beer indeed! Loving the variety of beers featured! A Weißbier is still my favorite variety of beer, but a Warsteiner is one of my go to beers... absolutely love that beer!
From a German point of view really interesting to see that a lot of people outside of Germany seem to really like that Pilsener. In Germany it doesn’t really have a good reputation at least where I live and that’s not so far away from Warstein. I know that a lot of my friends would complain about it if I I would serve it at a party or so🤷🏼 I really don’t know why, this large brands like Warsteiner, Bitburger, Krombacher all taste very similar to me, they aren’t bad but not really good either.

Us poor sods in the UK have a raw deal when it comes to beer. Most of it has been destroyed by the UK breweries. Most of it is bland and weak. So any beer that is imported tastes amazing to us.
A bit late on the comment, but... From America, I enjoy this beer. I was surprised to read in a survey that only 26% of Germans had a favorable opinion of Warsteiner brand. As a German, what would you recommend? Or what would your party guests be happy to see served?
@@Texas240 I think the relatively bad reputation comes from some problems the brewery had a few years ago with legionella. When my grandfather was in my age the beer had a really good reputation and if you wanted to serve something good at a party you bought for example Warsteiner. Germany got a lot of good pilsener beers but I think the most of them are only available in Germany. I think becks is also widely available in the US, it’s definitely more hoppy than Warsteiner. I think that there are two big groups in Germany, the once that buy the mass industry beers like Warsteiner and Becks depending on what’s on a discount at your local store, and the ones that drink beer from the local brewery.

It is one of my favourite Beers from our country. Radeberger and Krombacher are also very good. Try to test some "Jever-Pils" : A bit stronger but also a realy malty, clear and refreshing Pilsner! Just bought a six pack the other day and it's really good! I feel it's a lil on the hoppy side but I couldn't expect less from a German beer. But really crisp and refreshing.
I picked one of these up at the corner shop earlier on the way Home from Work. It was 2.90 but as soon as i saw that 'German Purity Law' stamp, i went,"Yyyyep! That's gonna go down a treat." And it is Friends. Even though the shop sell it on the expensive side, i'm glad to contribute to a genuine brewery. I'll be getting my Booze cupboard stocked up with these.😂 Along with Crabbies ginger beer, old speckled hen, old perculiar and others i've developed a taste for over the years. 🤝👍
Around 40 years ago, Warsteiner was the first of several, hitherto local or regional, breweries from Westfalia that managed to make it big by means of marketing their product to a supra-regional, ever growing (and widening) audience. As for brands like Bitburger, Krombacher, Veltins, Detmolder, they only followed Warsteiner`s example in persuading the beer-drinking public that the label "Premium Pilsener" is based on objective standards of quality and, hence, only awarded to the very best of brews.

Hello mate, just having one now after hacking around the golf course. It is one of the easiest drinking german beers around & just £2.20 in Sainsbury atm so bought a few to take on holiday tomorrow. Actually looking forward to going to Spurs next season after that garbage last season, at least we'll lose playing decent football😅. Oh yeah, up the Sarries 🏆 COYS

OK, german here! Warsteiner ain't not too bad for a factory beer, but it's still a mass product! There are waaayy better beers in Germany, you have to look for the small breweries on the country side of Germany. In the north of Bavaria, there are real small villages, with up to 5 family breweries with a centuries long tradition, compared to them Warsteiner is not even average, at best! You should go to Bamberg, it's supposed to be the beer city of Germany, and try smoked beer, for example!
I love smoked beer. I’ve done a few Schlenkerla reviews on that channel. Always good to hear from German natives and if you could recommend a few breweries I’d happily try and get some of those beers for future reviews. Prost 🍻

Check them out as they sell some fantastic pilsners & ipa's. Well worth a order. As i said previously lowenbrau is the best pilsner I've had & I've tried everything from supermarkets to their range. Make some good reviews with the stuff they sell.
When I was a kid, I remember a neighbor drank lowenbrau. I'd be over and helping his son crush cans. Was a fun game for us. I remember the hops aroma and the cool logo. I rarely drink, but as an adult, when I am in the mood for a beer I'm never able to find this in the US. Apparently, the brewery still exists and the beer still made, but it's hidden very well if it's available outside Germany!

I only started drinking this beer earlier this year, I like it a lot. One of the beers that I have been stocking up on for Christmas.
