If I run my drive cycle and finally get my OBD Scanner to show green, how long will have to take it to shop for emissions before the next cycle happens and computer runs selftest? For example I am afraid its green and suddenly right before the shop, it runs cycle and check engine light comes on? What is my time limit in this case?
If the Evap System is the only system "not ready" , does the entire emission test drive need to be performed ? or can it be abbreviated (2014 Hyundai Sonata 2.0L engine)
Hi Thomas you might be okay with just the evap not ready but this depends on your state. Brand new? Check to make sure your battery is ideal and start vehicle and just it idle for 20 minutes and drive around town for 15 minutes at 35 to 45 mph. Out of curiosity why do you need a smog on a 2020+ vette?
@@RANDOMFIX Because of the insane CA markups, I purchased it in PA and got it at sticker price. CA requires all vehicle with out of state registrations to get a smog check. Even though the car has a sticker that says it was built to CA emission standards.
I hear on the markup bs that dealers are adding on! Check all the o2 connections and connectors. Just un clip and click the connector back on. Honestly I had a similar situation with another viewer and the poor guy got the run around for a few months. I actually just text him and when he provides me the vette specific drive cycle I will forward it to you. Please check in with me in 5 days.
Probably already got this resolved but for future reference GM does not allow some monitors to run in the first 1000 miles of the cars life. You can go to the state Referee and get a passing test with the Monitors incomplete as long as the car is CA equipment equipped and is under 1000 miles.

@@RANDOMFIX I had all the modules ready except the catalyst Then misfire from head gasket I will need to redo it again getting a small bit of coolant in cylinder 1.
It depends on the make model and condition of the vehicle. What are you driving and I will send the exact drive cycle that explains it on video so your are not driving around wasting fuel.

Thank you for this vid. Since clearing my fault codes (was previously tuned, now stock tune is loaded), I have driven 112 miles & completed 3 BMW drive cycles. I can't get the FUEL to go ready. Everything else is Ready. Any tips\tricks are appreciated. Using the AL319 AutoLink

Are you trying to pass a SMOG in CA? You actually do not need the fuel monitor to be ready to pass smog. The Continuous monitors are ignored on CA smog checks. Not many inspectors know this so you get some resistance to them running the test but just ask them to please run the test. It will pass. If you would like to see where this information is search for "CA On-Board Diagnostic Test Reference " See section C footnote 3
2010 Ford f150 5.4 v8 Truck has all monitors ready except (Evap) but it has permanent codes PO455/46/47 All evap codes.. Drove 200 miles and their still there.. repairs have been made and ecm reflashed. Btw car was state reffed due to smog shop doing dirty work
@@RANDOMFIX guys. Just make sure it’s done 15 cycles and you’re good.. had to find out the hard way in California. 15 cycles and it’s not clear take it anyways and they are required to do it manually and it’ll pass
