As someone who did not build legs from just doing martial arts alone. Lifting tempo is important Strength and size gains fast on the way up and slow on the way down. Example 1 second up and 2-3 seconds downs. Explosive/force faster up and fast down but keep it to Olympic lifts or plyometrics.

Hi Silvana. You may not know but I am a Nurse Practitioner and I would get a MRI on the shoulder if the pain is this intense 3 weeks in. Ultrasound is good but MRI is more specific ❤ feel better my beautiful friend
Silv, I think you are doing grate, just remember what he says, MOBILITY FIRST, and get that as good as you possibly can, and in doing so that will actually strengthen your shoulder muscles by itself, have patience, nature needs to take its orn time, but the physio helps.
I couldnt see if you were wearing a belt for squats but they are great for stabilizing your core and protecting your lower back, which lets you focus on your legs. I also have found it useful to warm up the lower back before squats as an extra precaution. What I also found with using weights on legs, mine respond best to high reps whereas the upper body I could get away with lower reps. You often see guys in the gym who have either big legs or big upper body which is a good sign they try to train ther upper and lower body the same way. While weights can be beneficial, all the martial arts instructors I knew who also used weights stopped squatting as they found having bigger muscles interfered with flexibility.
No belt, I might get one in the future but Im also not planning on doing super heavy lifts, everything is purely functional for me! But who knows what the future holds I'm very early into lifting 😊
@@SilvanaKicks can always try someones belt in the gym, one tip I can share, I'm 33 years into lifting, is do cardio the day before legs. It totally reduces the soreness after training.
Being a fitness guy I truly have neglected lighter exercises to allow that muscle to recuperate my pain has lighten up but it’s still there I should probably consider going to a dr 😅 but you know us 30 years still think we’re 20. As always wishing you well and a healthy recovery it’s a one day at a time, step by step progress but I completely understand how you feel and thanks one this day in your life content shows we all going through whether training or just from day to day grind I workout and train 4 days a week rest one but im a first responder worker in utilities so yep lol 😂
I know it is a tough adjustment but sometimes it is better to give your body a rest and give a chance to heal your shoulder. I would say taking a a cold shower 🚿 or an ice bag to put on your shoulder to relive the pain overall silvina.👍
I am really surprised that someone who is as accomplished as you are have not done any weight training at all. I thought that has been standard for athletes of almost any kind for decades 😯.

What you’re doing at 18:00 minutes is a glutes work out not to be confused with a leg work out. You squeeze your glutes once you get to the top and after your done you’ll know it was a glutes work out. Hope this helps.❤I like that you were dressed appropriately. Many women are upset that men are salivating over them while their nipples piercings and other outlined body parts are on full display. You’re not looking for the cat and mouse games at all I see.

Try lateral raises inverted, palm facing upward, straight arm with a 2 to 5 lbs in your physio, there are really good for rotator cuffs.
