    Hi Jonathan, i'm a huge follower although i don't comment a lot.. but man, i had to say something about that intimidating feeling every time i watch MKBHD, MarzbarGaming, UnboxTherapy, and so many other channels like yours. I mean, the camera gear and the whole setup it's usually impressive and makes us (me atleast) wanna step back and think just a lit bit more before tryin' to become a youtuber. Thanks for having a word for that, not everyone remembers what it was like in the beginning, once they become big ;)

    Jonathan, loved your tips! please could you explain better how to properly make the shoot at 1:46? and how do that? its a tripod just on 2 legs and tilting the head up while pushing the tripod forward? ins't that?thank you

    • @ObjectiveMediaDoesntExist
      @ObjectiveMediaDoesntExist 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vinnie Dixie I use that technique a lot when I am shooting. Just like you said, you have one tripod leg in line with what you are shooting. Then just push the tripod forward on the two legs while maintaining a smooth upward tilt with the tripod head. The higher you have the tripod set up, the longer your forward dolly shot can be. If you have it all the way up I would recommend putting something heavy behind the two legs so that you don't have to worry about them slipping and can just focus on getting the tripod head tilt right.

    I get that the board thing is used for balancing the colour when you shoot videos but I don't get how it does or how to use it. Also, Jon, what would you use to film with if you couldn't afford any of those pointshoot cameras but you had an iphone 4 and an ipad mini without retina display?

    This is really useful, and after watching this I'm definitely taking you up on upgrading my tripod which was a measly £10 when I bought it 3 years ago. I was wondering if you had any tips on lighting, since I have a tendency for filming at night (indoors) and unfortunately I can see how badly it looks on video as my lights aren't great at all, however I've saved up some good money through my videos to invest in some good lighting I just don't know what to go for.
