USB is for the firmware update Markus 5:45 Update: I know this because it is just like the other strobes and hardware. Also, it's the new standard now for firmware. Do you want them to use the micro USB port again? Stop throwing away those booklets and you will know this
thank you for posting that. I was definitely curious when Markus says "I don't know what that's for..."..... did you acquire that info either from a manufacturer spec or that you happen to own one of these ? Prior to ur post I had been wondering if it possibly had to do with using a powerbank to supply USB portable power vs needing plug-in power source. Could it possibly be for either/or like USB-C may be for either/or on cellphones, tablets, laptops, mobile devices etc etc ? I have two pretty bright LED lights which run off Lithium-Ion batteries originally made for handheld cordless power tools but that's a very demanding power draw so even HC 8.0 (High Capacity 18-volt) only last for 2.5 hrs at low settings or 1.5 hrs on high settings. LED power draw is significantly less demanding than a power tool motor so I would speculate the power lasts much much longer, although I don't have any specific estimate. [ EDIT | UPDATE ] :: fstoppers.com/reviews/review-zhiyun-molus-x100-cob-light-647338 states about the Zhiyun Molus X100 which is very similar but 100watt vx G300 300 watt as follows " Power can be supplied via a wall socket, a PD adapter, or a battery grip, which offers 6x 2,600 mAh and provides approximately 30 minutes of power at 100% output. The battery grip measures 52.8 x 94 x 61 centimeters. " That's the mathematically equivalent of 15,600 Mah supports 30 minutes @ 100% output, or in similar scale to the below, is equivalent to 62,400 Mah supporting 2.0 Hrs @ 100% output. That's like topending a 120 MPH car engine as long as it would last so I would further speculate the below Power Station 70,000 Mah probably would more likely be needed to produce a 2 Hour @ 100% max output, which isn't that bad considering the portability factor it makes possible. [ the final below paragraph was posted before this edit update adjoined into comment body ] There are some VERY powerful USB power banks nowadays, new era. I think my ENERGY CUBE Large Capacity Power Station 70,000 Mah could probably support this. I've run multiple cameras, camcorders, action cams, including multiple at same time. . Just ballparking. Then you dont need to spend a lot of money on lights😋
Please try new flash from godox that look like vintage thing’s
LOL i love the “molus” jokes you gotta make that a running gag “Ok, I gotta go have my molus extracted” or “this little light is smaller than than witch’s molus!” 😂😂😂
Does Zhiyun Molus G300 control box supports V mount or any battery? That is the main reason I bought VL300.
It can only powered by provided AC adapter.
Can you try rotolight?
I gave away all my overpriced way overhyped rotolight stuff
Any way to use the G300 with v-mount?
It can only work with the AC adapter included in the package.
"You have a molus on your butt-ock." You're killing me 🤣
LOVE LOVE UR THE BEST
Great lights! Thanks for sharing! Now if I can figure out a polite way to not let clients film their own behind the scenes with their phones that I've lit with lights I've paid for.
yes the bane of the modern world
Has anyone ever tried powering these off of a battery inverter (that changes 12 VDC to 120 VAC) to make them semi-portable for outdoors shoots?
USB slot is for Firmware updates
So, smaller is better?
Thanks for sharing.
Great review
Any over heating how hot it gets?
Not here
Markus you can actually get 300W if you put the G200 in max mode and it costs almost half the price!
And you can get 500w with the 300w
Hopefully the molus on my lower right buttock is benign. Doc says if I apply some godox to it once a day I should be okay. 🙏
woahh with that hair and outfit combo it looks like you just stepped out of the 90's
Actually the 70s

I say add affiliate links, why not get a kickback. I trust you more than many others, you would tell me if it’s 💩
Markus you are like King Solomon from the KJV. Ecclesiastes 2:10
“And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour.”
Amen.
