From my understanding it's just a normal conversation of two guy's talking to each others like if they are on a phone talking about work, Photo's, Videos and crap but just on radio lmao

I couldn't resist a listen myself, after reading about this somewhere. Just used a half size G5RV antenna, a windows laptop, SDR software, and an RTL-SDR Dongle. Loud and clear here at my QTH.

Interesting as I would have thought the satellite would have been low to the horizon at you're location. I could only just hear the signals with my discone antenna hear in Western Australia and the yagi antenna really increased the signals, however I did get reasonable signal recovery on my FT-60 hand held radio on one occasion.
I find the fact that this is going on to be intriguing and quite amazing particularly as it has been going for a long time with a number of military satellites. I can't help thinking that military assets should not be that vulnerable, unless it is being allowed for some reason.....

This is allowed to go on because all USN traffic is encrypted and has multiple waveforms to block out interference from pirates. Similar to FEC on HF SITOR.

This satellite is in a semi-geosynchronous orbit resulting it moving slightly north and south and think it should be accessible in the UK at times, although it will be low to the horizon. Check N2YO.com (Satellite prediction tracking site), FLTSATCOM 8 is at www.n2yo.com/satellite/?s=20253
See my video on the yagi antenna construction. th-cam.com/video/Ff5n7Y6LhwA/w-d-xo.html and vk6ysf.com/yagi_250mhz_5el_20220925.htm
The US Navy has a number of these satellites and you should hear something around 250 - 260MHz.

I can see the noise floor of a number transponders in the waterfall, I also notice some are uniformly weaker than other, so I suspected they maybe from another similar satellite. Must swing the antenna around when i get a chance.
