It's like a $50 card, which is probably a third the price of a group break spot. Considering UD could print over 125K Young Guns this year, they are essentially base cards. This is why I compared UDS1 to MVP.
Nice rip, congrats on the bedards in grant’s break too! #dryden Love the outbursts in general. And sweet deon, would love to pick that up if you’re interested in selling!
Nice box! I hit 8 Young Guns, the EXACT 6 you hit, but I hit the Outburst Wolf and a Marco Kasper acetate….product is ok, 1 and done for me, every single YG of mine is damaged by the way
@Fultoncards of course it's the Wolf, dented corner and a bend at the very top, my Pelletier has the SAME problem...already messaged them, we'll see what happens..double check yours just on case
Ya, but if you know me, I rarely stress condition. Most YGs are $5 cards. The Knies is only $50. They're being printed at a frequency of 125K+ per player, so they are commons. And, I do love when cards vary in grade. It makes cards more affordable for shallower pockets on the secondary market. Ppl can just pick their grade/price. And if 50K of the YGs grade BGS 9.5, then they all tumble in value. What's a PSA 10 if everyone has one? It means the only cards that matter are the numbered parallels.
Dave and adams had a rip party for this a kid pulled a Tage Thomson pop count 1 so a 1/1, I'm going to look for a Levi YG nice rip and I agree with you the prices will come down #dryden
What about that card in the background!! The new format is nice with more inserts in the packs even though they’re not numbered and printing a ton. UD didn’t really change the graphics design much from the 22-23 formats, but like the color splash at the bottom of the card. #Dryden
As much as I like the idea of Upper Deck putting 3 inserts per pack in their flagship set, especially given the current price point for an hobby box, I still think that maybe it's a little too much? Back in 1994 Fleer Ultra were guaranteeing one "special" card per pack, and even little kids like us thought it was overkill. But regardless, if it can bring more fun in this "overinflated" hobby I'm all okay with it. On a same line of thought, "à contrario", I've once opened a 96-97 Fleer Flair box which contained nothing but base cards. 20 packs, no inserts, no parallels. Fleer really let me down that night. At least, the cards are super good looking. P.S : Nice Leon Draisaitl by the way. He's probably my favorite active player since I like his effectiveness and his birthday is the same as my 7 years old niece. Always picked him in my fantasy league saying that "he's my lucky number". Useless to say, it paid well.
This year's set looks nice. They seem to do that during a very touted prospect's rookie year. Love the Wolf as a Flames fan (also that Fleury jersey in a previous video). I really hope the Flames develop him properly. They destroyed goalie prospects like Irving, Keetley, Gillies, Parsons... Or even guys like Craig Anderson (gave up on him too early), Curtis Mchieliney (bad spelling, I know - didn't feel like looking it up). Anyways, nice break, expect Series 2 to be bananas. Nice unannounced card. #Dryden
Bananas indeed. I do disagree that cards necessarily look nicer generational years. To me, it's perception bias. We remember card designs fondly because they are (or turn out to be) the big years. Reverse causality. Yes, companies throw more money at the products in order to pull in more money. But, there have been some great designs in years of terrible rookies. Everyone remembers the Gretzky skate and Orr TV. But almost all the cards from the 1960s were very cool, like 60/61 Topps. Like 62/63 Parkhurst had players on pucks, which might have inspired the 79/80 Gretzky skate. And the early 1970s were crazy. 51/52 Parkhurst with Howe and Richard are very cool. But the next two years with water colors were gorgeous. In recent years, I would never say the 05/06 Crosby and OV are beautiful. They are memorable because of 87 and 8. It was also a lockout, so I would expect them to really take their time and come up with something better. 15/16 Young Guns are clean but bland. I loved the McDavid OPC Retro which was a throwback to 61/62 Parkhurst. It's not as if 22/23 Young Guns were boring. Had that been the Bedard, it would be just as memorable.
Jealous of the Sens pulls in this box! Greig is set to be a great prospect, was a machine during the pre-season and I hope he keeps it up during the regular too!
Update: I just pulled two Connor Bedards from the $50 Easter Egg "hit select" spot at GP Sports Cards (prior to the price hike). Wowsers!
That is soooo 🔥🔥🔥
Nice Fulton! I love it! Sell one now while the hype is insanely high and get something really cool. Your splegends laFleur or something.
Congrats on hitting that Bedard...I was watching GP when you're Connor showed up 🎖
Nice box! Love the goalie sigs in the back, especially Roy the GOAT.
Unreal Deon
I forgot to mention weeks ago that I really dig the new intro. It’s a great track.
Scott the spoiler after you seen the first pulled...I gave him chit lol
Nice box. Great Wolf... goalie mojo is great. That Easter Egg is nice. Great break as usual. #Dryden
Sweet break, love release day breaks #dryden
Dude let’s gooooooooo! Seems like a great box. I agree with the Coyotes players always good to get some more games in on light ones.
I opened that same box same guns my mrask is a deluxe /250 beavilliier clear cut
That’s the only 2nd Deons I’ve seen. A buddy pulled a JRob
Loved that Deon card, made me giggle.
Fantastic video and nice break.
Nice Deon Leon
Great video and info. Enjoying the hobby of opening, not just for money. #DRYDEN
Dimensions subset.
Really liking the look of the cards this year. Congrats on the Easter Egg!! Hope to get my hands on one of these soon #dryden
I have heard talk it about on the radio sports 91.9 BPM (Montreal) with Georges Laraque. Its seems that Matthew Knies YG's value is 80$ at the start.

Oh man what a box!!!! Sweet Wolf YG'S, I am absolutely loving UD this years amazing inserts and photography!! Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏼💪🏽👊🏼🤙🏼 #Dryden
Nice box man! Greig is looking great so awesome to hit him twice. Deon card was cool. #dryden
Nice video once again. Congrats on the goalie mojo and the Easter egg. #dryden

Wow can't believe Phaneuf got a card named after him
Nice rip, congrats on the bedards in grant’s break too! #dryden
Love the outbursts in general. And sweet deon, would love to pick that up if you’re interested in selling!
First I've heard about the Deon cards. Pretty cool stuff! #Dryden
SICK unannounced Deon! 🔥🔥🔥
Nice box! I hit 8 Young Guns, the EXACT 6 you hit, but I hit the Outburst Wolf and a Marco Kasper acetate….product is ok, 1 and done for me, every single YG of mine is damaged by the way
Damaged? That's terrible. You should contact UD.
@Fultoncards of course it's the Wolf, dented corner and a bend at the very top, my Pelletier has the SAME problem...already messaged them, we'll see what happens..double check yours just on case
Take a close look at yours, there is a notch almost in the top middle of each of mine, if you look down at the car the thin way, you can def see it

Has upper deck provided the odds the of the unannounced inserts?
The entire premise of unannounced is to not disclose anything about them. That's why they are unannounced. The checklist gets populated by users.
Love that Easter egg card!! #dryden
Cool edits and banter. #Dryden
I appreciate the kind words.
Man that neon deon is so sick!! Congrats on the bedards!!! #DRYDEN

Loving this product for the first time in many years. So much time as a meh product! #Dryden
👽 awesome
Deon! Fulton mojo strikes again
The Deons was great! #DRYDEN
#dryden sick pull!
Neons are nice. #dryden
Yes! #dryden
what did the easter egg price jump up to from $50?
Last I saw, it went from $50 CAD to $175 CAD. And the CHI team select was $250, mindful other teams were $35 etc.
Another awesome video #dryden
#dryden I see the Bedard is already selling for over $1,000. Can you imagine looking back on the score superstar Lindros card spending the equivalent
Isn’t it fun opening packs. Can’t wait to get my series 2 order. Thanks for sharing! #DRYDEN

Of all the new inserts I think the nicest looking one is the outburst. Congrats on your continued Goalie Mojo, keep 'em coming.
Congrats on the goalie mojo. Solid break and like the new format from Upperdeck.. Good luck in future breaks and as always great content. #Dryden
Nice Easter egg but I’m still waiting for series 2 before I grab a hobby box.
No jersey cards this year? bs
Last I saw, UDS2 is US $300 presale.
Why so expensive. It’s 159$ Canadian for a hobby box series 2. With the exchange rate the prices are supposed to be the other way around.
Pls provide a link to 23/24 UDS2 for $160 CAD.
Look up 401 games and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Love that you hit that Wolfie! Goalie Mojo alive and well!
I think the photography on the base looks better, maybe just me. Hope you're having a good day brother! 💪😁🤘

Leon the Deon! Kinda neon? #DRYDEN
collecting cards is more addictive than cocaine or even alcohol
#DRYDEN
The format change sucks for kids who only can buy a pack or two, decent look though #dryden
What a great point.
Awe i want that Leon lol awesome rip awesome pulls, yeah the bedard chase is crazy 😂 #DRYDEN 🫡
