  • In this video, I cover How to Measure and Plan for Prongs on pendant wrap. While this measure could also be done with string or Painter's tape, I show using grid paper as an alternative. Each way has it's ease and uses and depending on the wire wrapped prong setting you're making, depends on what way you might use.
    This wire wrapping measurement technique is great for many shapes and sizes of cabochon used for pendant making.
    The video does not cover how to create the full pendant, only the measurement part. Keep watching for more wire wrapping techniques!
    Then check my tutorials playlist for full, fun wire wrapped jewelry projects.
    Watch my next video here on how to create the wire prongs.

    I love this method. Thank you so much for breaking it down! I unnecessarily obsess about spacing things out and end up wasting so much time and material. Using your method of planning will give me a great visual to go by.

      Perfectly Twisted Jewelry You’re welcome. Now, if I can just get your braided earrings down, I’ll be doing good. The braiding technique is easy. However, I fiddled around with my wire so much trying to get the beginning loops “perfect” that I broke one of them before I even got started! 🤦🏼‍♀️ I need to relax and practice practice practice!

    OK, so do you have a video of you actually making the necklace? I’ve done crying is a different way and I was trying your way, but do you have any thing that is holding the back?

    • @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry
      @PerfectlyTwistedJewelry  ปีที่แล้ว

      In this particular design, three are wire tabs in back ... you can make 2 prong wires, one for back and one for front with 2 straight wires in the middle (this frame is 4 wires)... mirror the prongs front to back and that will be an easy way also, to set a thin cabochon. This tutorial is one that I sell in my Etsy shop, the link is in the description if you are interested in that. Thanks for your comment!
