There are many bitter exes who enjoy the toxicity and refuse to move on from a rel back 11 years ago, nor take ownership and work on themselves but will use buzzwords like therapy and mental health for press attention... many people pretend to be real unlike kelly.
I just got to the point in this podcast where you were both talking about lying being the worst. I once told my child (he was between 5-7) that I would rather he stab me than lie to me. He took that to heart and , will not lie to me even now.

Kelly literally lifted a ton of weight off my soul when she said what her therapist told her about being tough and show your honest emotions when things happen. Kelly's amazing! Being in love is nice but it comes down to "wanting" a relationship or "needing" one. She's so smart to be aware of the difference. One of my "takeaways" I learned from a friend... asked why he ate dessert first, he said you never know what could happen between dinner and dessert, so he eats his dessert first. It makes sense cause where is it written that you have to eat it after dinner? That became, 'ETC" which stands for "eat the cake!" Thanks, for such a great interview.

Having been a fan of Kelly for 20 years, I’ve only felt more in common with her after this interview-I’ve always told people in my life that I don’t need them & how it should mean a lot more than I want them to be.
I have voted for her a lot in American Idol, I love this conversation with Angie. I told my husband that 13 years ago, I said it within a week of meeting him. I was sure of myself, marriage will not make me relevant, so if it comes thank Lord, if it doesn’t thank you Lord. So I want him but I didn’t need him. That still stand today, though I love him very much, we have two beautiful children. I feel like when you need someone too bad when things goes bad, you suffers more. Just my opinion.

This, I didn’t read that book, but the moment I had a daughter, what I accepted for myself changed. I looked at her dad, who was an abusive narcissist, and I said to myself, would I want her to grow up and stay with this and think that it’s ok to have a man to treat you like this. I left for us both, we have a beautiful happy life and her expectations from men is a very high bar. Thank you for these real conversations!

I grew up in the South and in Church, very similarly to Kelly which is why she is so relatable to me. I love that she is still so down to earth! She is just such a beautiful human and I'm so glad that she is unlearning things from the generational trauma past down to us...as we all should strive to do. Kelly Clarkson is the best! Loved her since season 1 on American Idol. I'm so happy shes happy and doing so well! Her Breakaway album got me through my very first heartbreak at 21.

Kelly hit the nail on the head and I have had that discussion with multiple people. Needing you vs. Wanting you. Me wanting you in my life should be so much more meaningful than me needing you. I'm choosing you as opposed to I'm forced to be with you. Wanting to be needed is definitely an ego thing that needs to be worked on. Narcissists for sure need to be needed so we all must be careful and mindful of these people. So much wisdom in this interview between the two of them 🙌 🙏 ✨️

Having been a fan of Kelly for 20 years, I’ve only felt more in common with her after this interview-I’ve always told people in my life that I don’t need them & how it should mean a lot more than I want them to be.
I have voted for her a lot in American Idol, I love this conversation with Angie. I told my husband that 13 years ago, I said it within a week of meeting him. I was sure of myself, marriage will not make me relevant, so if it comes thank Lord, if it doesn’t thank you Lord. So I want him but I didn’t need him. That still stand today, though I love him very much, we have two beautiful children. I feel like when you need someone too bad when things goes bad, you suffers more. Just my opinion.

I hope to be where you are at soon. I’m in a relationship of almost 4 years now and I am madly in love with a person but also in nursing school full-time at age 31 and I want him but I also need him and I can’t wait until the day that I can tell him I don’t need his support when I only want him, because I think that that will make a huge difference in the way that he views our relationship

This, I didn’t read that book, but the moment I had a daughter, what I accepted for myself changed. I looked at her dad, who was an abusive narcissist, and I said to myself, would I want her to grow up and stay with this and think that it’s ok to have a man to treat you like this. I left for us both, we have a beautiful happy life and her expectations from men is a very high bar. Thank you for these real conversations!
👏 very courageous of you I think many people especially moms in bad relationships come to the realization also even though it’s sad and sucks it’s a million times better than you staying and your child learning that’s what a relationship should be like!

I grew up in the South and in Church, very similarly to Kelly which is why she is so relatable to me. I love that she is still so down to earth! She is just such a beautiful human and I'm so glad that she is unlearning things from the generational trauma past down to us...as we all should strive to do. I fell in love with her voice years ago but I have such a deep respect and admiration for the person she has grew into while overcoming adversity ❤❤❤ Great interview and guest, full of truth and wisdom! 🙏🙌👑
