I wish someone could take one of those old overhead projectors from school (if you know, you know) and fashion it into an overhead lamp to project your lines onto your slab for you.
They still have those suckers at my school, and that would be awesome so she can keep the little inbeds lined up!
I've seen videos of sewers use projectors for patterns, a similar setup would probably work for this!

I love avocados but my grandparents ruined me for store bought ones. They lived in Southern California and had 4 avocado trees. As a child we would harvest avocados literally the size of a child’s toy football. The flavor they had was 10 times better than any grocery store avocado. We would mash them up with a little salt and lime and scoop it up with Fritos. 😋. Yum!!

Homegrown avocados are the best. You can get a small fortune of avocados for FREE. I have several avocado trees and during avocado season my family often ends up with more avocados than we can eat. Of course you have to make sure you're growing the right variety or you'll just end up with a lot of disappointment.
Who thinks that she should do a state flower collection? (I know that it’s a lot but it would be so cool!)
She could do state flowers by sections like one soap is the south west states flowers, one soap is Midwestern so on and so forth.

I figured out I was pregnant because of avocados. I walked by them in a store and had an overwhelming urge to eat avocado. It's not something I would ever really buy and I ate 4 and was like what is wrong with me 😂 next week I found out I was pregnant. I'm 9 weeks now.

Trader Joe’s is definitely worth the trip, maybe not like every week but once every like two months. They have some really cool stuff there especially during fall and winter. My mom likes to buy danishes from there and we got an apple bourbon cake for Christmas one year and it was so good.

Having grown up in California, my grandmother had an avocado tree that she started from a pit so we always had avocados. I don’t remember not ever liking avocados. In fact, we were eating avocado toast waaaaay before it became a thing (like, in the 1970’s). I still love avocados 🥑 💚

We keep guineas around cattle and horses (in MD) because they eat ticks. Lyme disease is a big problem up here. So that’s a silver lining haha

I have chickens and I love it! Right now one of the wonderful things is that they have started laying again. So in the middle of this cold spell, my chickens know: Spring is coming. And come easter, it is very clear why we celebrate eggs.
This is so cute Katie! Also, I have always loved Avocado. My Mom used to make me Avocado and Tomato sandwiches with a little sprinkle of pepper when I was a kid. So yeah, me and avocado's go way back :)

Chickens make awesome pets. Buff Orpingtons are super friendly, mine love me so much. They're feathered garbage disposals. They also produce awesome eggs and fertilizer for my garden while providing amazing pest control. I never have to use pesticides in my garden because the chickens eat everything before it gets in. One time they even hunted down *and killed* a little mouse. I will always love my chickens. I'm sorry Katie doesn't like them, but I wanted to share what I love about my big birds.
Backyard themed soaps for summer!
Maybe a sandbox, a treehouse, some bugs in the mud, mom's garden, a tire swing... So many options!!
The eggs are SO adorable with their little pepper sprinkle! I was trying to think of other breakfast scents so you could make more eggs, but the only thing I could think of was a tomato vine fragrance oil.. So like beans and eggs on toast? Lol! You could do a 'tomato sauce' drizzle on top of glycerin beans. 😂
Maybe a blueberry scent, and then she could make a blueberry pancake soap with eggs (and tiny strips of bacon?)
Maple syrup. Coffee/cappuccino. There's a fruity pebbles scent. Those are the only other breakfast scents that come to my mind, but besides MAYBE coffee, I don't really see the egg going good with the scent that wouldn't confuse the mind haha. Maybe a Cadbury creme egg design for Easter?

trader joe’s is DEFINITELY worth a try!! it’s not just a bougee influencer store, their stuff is actually cheap and affordable and well worth it. my closest one is about 20 minutes away but i make the drive cos they have the best snacks
There’s a childhood dessert I loved having with my mom. We crushed up ice and mixed it in with avocado and sugar. In a way it was like a chunky avocado frappe
As a millenial that has never eaten avocado toast but thinks this soap is cute, I have to say I am thankful that there is no Avocado oil in this mixture. That means I can buy it and not have to worry about my allergy flaring up and giving me a negative reaction to your wonderful soaps

For those that don't know the logic behind it, the south is very backhanded with it's insults. Blessing someone's heart means you're praying for them to go to heaven on the surface of the words, like a "good christian" should, which you aren't the asshole for, but the undertone is that you think they're going to hell without your blessings.
My MIL says "bless your heart" but she means it in a 100% sympathetic way. I don't think she knows it's usually said as a demeaning insult, lol

I grew up with an avocado tree in my grandparent's backyard and it was a special moment when I got to pick a ripe avocado with my grandfather to eat with dinner. Oh the feels those memories bring up, 😭. My grandfather passed away and I have held those memories very close ever since.

I don’t know how realistic this suggestion is, but LISA FRANK SOAP. Can’t get more 80s/90s and millennial than that. I know they still make some lisa frank stuff, but it’s just not the same as being able to go into your Lisa Frank store in the mall and be surrounded by all of it.

When I lived in Connecticut the closest trader Joe's and Costco were 1 hour a way. I made a monthly trip to stock up because I refused to switch to BJs. Now I'm back in Washington were both are 5 minutes down the road and it is so nice.
Yep, we used to drive from Edwards AFB to Burbank (about 90 miles) to go to TJs... to be fair it was 45 minutes to Walmart too... don’t miss those days :)

I was wondering how you were doing with the snow and electricity outages.
As a life-long resident of central California I can certify that there's plenty of avocados that are exactly that color of green. Hass avocados do come in that color occasionally if they're picked very ripe (they're pretty much the only ones you'll find in the grocery store outside of specialty shops), but plenty of other varieties come in that green and many others all the time.
Trader Joe’s: worth the trip! Not for regular shopping but to experience at least once, think cheap Whole Foods or at least more natural grocery store (cheap enough I could go there often in college) with a semi vintage aesthetic! 70’s fonts on boxes and such, overall calm and wholesome

I found your channel at the start of the pandemic while going bonkers in quarantine and you have just helped me get through all this with your positivity and very satisfying soap making videos! My husband and I eat a half to a full avocado each whenever we have frijos y arroz (central american beans and rice). Gotta put little cuts in it, sprinkle with salt, and then add lemon or lime juice. Also love this avocado/egg thing my MIL makes. In fact, our 5 month old just had his first baby solid and it was avocado! 😆 So, yeah, we stan 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑

A ballet soap theme would be awesome. Base soaps on various ballets, like Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Swan Lake, Coppelia, The Red Shoes... there's a whoooole lot of inspiration in ballet!
Need a veggie garden soap, root veggies. Canes with the root part and popping on top. Brown for the dirt. Purple, orange, yellow carrots. Also, and egg shell blue soap with fresh farm eggs on top, browns and blues. You can even pipe a nest to put the eggs in. Both work for Easter too
