That was nardo, admin of the comatorium forum. He also taped the show at Flex, Vienna that is on my channel. Imho the two best bootlegs. He‘s a legend.
This is my favorite Volta show ever. Sadly I was not there. But this is absolute perfection. Cedric really shines in this one. And they even played fucking Cassandra. The Con Safo movement jam in Cygnus is unreal here, and thankfully back when Cedric still included the word "trust" in this song. Thank you so much for uploading this, OP. Most of all, an incredibly dark and morose show. As dark and deep as an ocean or universe, perfectly capturing the chaotic hopelessness of Frances the Mute.
I would love to hear Cassandra live again at least once more before I die. I regret to say, that unfortunately the band is somewhat aged now, and after Cedric's vocal cord injury and surgery, it would be a bad idea for his health to try and sing something like Cassandra again.
I was at this show. The sound was really good. Easily the best show I ever went to! The atmosphere in the audience was also very special that night. I remember seeing a few tv cameras from a station called Viva Plus. Unfortunately it never got aired (they aired quite a few shows at the time or at least parts). The tv station stopped existig in the same year if I recall correctly. Still wondering what happened to those recordings 🤔
It truly is. It is so, so dark. After watching the new documentary I've learned that the darkness in this album and tour was fueled purely by their grief over Jeremy Ward's death.
This was one of my favorite parts. It's so gorgeous. I don't know how they came up with this but it has me enchanted. Makes me feel like I'm floating in an ancient ocean of eternity and memories.
The audio is amazing, yet another great show. But again with the still photos..... Don’t describe the video if it isn’t really a video. Nah mean? Sitting here missing all the best jams looking at thumbnails. Sucks
@@n.senadaGood response. Whoever wrote that to you must've been fuckn high. You've done us all a service uploading this absolute gem. I revisit it time and time again.
cedric's range, control and power are fucking unbelievable here

They are on FIRE at this show.
How the fuck does Cedric sound so good in this!
best band of the 00's
and arguably, the 10's as well

Id say Black Midi has now filled the void of TMV. Same kinda insane jazz prog energy.
True. A lot of thier debut has moments of atdi. Not in energy or guitar tone, but the general riff ideas. @@battleonfan1

lol after a few shows he realised its probably not a good idea to hit that note in "trust"
@@growskull I can def see that it was a measure to conserve his vocal stamina & his energy
Best era of TMV.
Wow ! Really outstanding performance by Cedric ! He could be hit or miss sometimes, but when it was a hit, it was really a home run !
1:16:39…Peak Cedric !
HIS NAME IS JON THEODORE.
Hole E. Shit. That performance of Cassandra Gemini is awesome. Wish I could have been at this show.
Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. Long live The Mars Volta
Cedric estaba en su prime, toda la banda en si ❤❤❤❤❤
The best gig of my life
Amazing wish i’ve heard cassandra gemini yesterday in berlin☺️but it was great anyway❤️
Especially plant a nail…it sounds divine here☺️❤️

Ohh man! I was at this show, great memories, great performance !! Love it
Holy shit. How is the sound quality so good?!?!
Dynamic Audio Binaurals/120 > Sharp MD-MT888h
Also being close to the stage is smart because a lot of the sound is being focused out into the crowd not so much the band.

this comment is a joke, isn't it?
finally a good quality recording of Cassandra, and a great performance of it too. Thanks for uploading this.
❤️🥰
Thanks man, i was there! I remember the audience being quite irritated when they could finally applaud after like 30 or 40 minutes into the Set haha
They were irritated? pffft I'd be glad for that!
an 05 tmv jam way spookier than anybody gives it credit for
04 is for shreds and ambient stuff, 05 is for super dark stuff

no 1 concert is the same, which makes their live shows always a joy to listen to
Jon Theodore was the backbone of their live performances... he’s unstoppable and I don’t get it haha
His left hihat foot NEVER stops. The literal backbone.
U know la leyenda de los Superpoderosos Jon y Juan?
Thank you for this! Best bootleg I've ever heard

What a great concert, awesome quality, thanks a ton for posting this!
This is absolutely incredible. Subscribed. Your channel is a fckn gold mine.
Great upload. Thank you my good man.
i used to have a cologne germany show from this leg, taped on a mini disk recorder....besides a lack of bass frequencies, it sounded like a soundboard
That one was recorded by the same person. You can download it on themarbleshrine.com
The Mighty Volta! I would love this on vinyl
that guitar part that comes in at 1:19:00 sheesh
Thank you for the upload.

wao.. yo fui a ese concierto con mi exnovia, que tiempos aquellos...
¿vivía usted y su ex novia en berlín en 2005 o viajaban allí?

That’s my favorite part of CG!
Absolutely fucking unbelievable. This was Cedric's peak year for performance. How the fuck did he do this?
