Hi, Just about to get started on hydroponics. Trying to learn the ins and outs. I watched a video on growing spinach and they warn against Pythium? on large hydroponic farms? is this something the home owner farmer needs to worry about?
I’m going to try General Hydroponics Floragro and Floramicro advanced micro nutrient liquid fertilizer. Maybe this will give an idea of what’s being used.
The liquid is pink like permanganate of potassium, an anti bacterial powder to desinfect vegetables, we mix it with water... maybe to avoid the roots to rot.

The container label shows that alcohol hand santinizer spray

Yellow one is aqueous Albert Solution. Commonly used in hydroponics. Pink one, have no idea.
Where do I get the seeds and the fertilizer?
I used to plant this but I thought there’s a way to make the leaved fatter it’s just normal that the stems and leaves are thin?
this vareity is upland, they have thin leaves, the wider leaves is a different vareity.

in my village in the Philippines we have this kind of variety we called kangkong we only get them at irrigation farm
