One of the greatest Chanel’s ever helped me with all my nirvana tone and my ds1 and helped me whith getting a cheaper pedal for inutero thank you you truly deserve to see this guitar
Beautiful build. I love how you point out that some of Kurt's guitars can inspire other things, not strictly Nirvana songs. Jimi sounded beautiful on that Strat. Maybe you should do a video of other artists songs that are inspired by his different guitars? Thank you again for a wonderful video. Have a great weekend 😊
Hey! I just did a mod to my squier to have it look like the VMA strat only a couple months ago! I used ur documentation vid to get my own just right lol, can’t wait for the video!
The fact Eric has these opportunities to document Kurt’s guitars and figure out everything that was in the guitar, and is able to make an exact replica build is crazy to me. Keep up the absolute awesome work Eric, can’t wait to see what other guitars you’ll get a chance to look at!
No kidding? I was hoping you were the one that picked up the Strat when I saw it up on Marketplace. Glad to see I was right, and to see it with the real deal, that's something really special. Nice work.
Love your passion for Kurt’s guitars. And I learn so much about guitars in general as well. You really surprised and impressed me with that Little Wing riff. Nirvana and Hendrix changed my world when I listened to them for the first time. And I think both bands are siblings when it comes to guitar sounds.
the opportunities you have had with all of kurts guitars is something I wish I could have, lol. Love all your guitars dude, wish I could have a nirvana guitar
Hey man, love your content, I've learnt so many Nirvana riffs from watching your vids, but i was hoping you could make dedicated tutorial vids for riffs? Go step by step on teaching them? That would be awsome because not every song Nirvana has done has been covered by the larger channels like marty music
the neck in the vms strat looks to be a pau ferro fingerboard but no clue i havent done my research and its a great video. Greater that you could unite these two guitars!
Kurt has 3 Japanese Fender ST-62LH Reissue Two in Olympic White (VMA and Seattle Colisseum Strat), and one in Black (Sao Paulo Strat) While The Sunburst aka Reading Strat is Fender 1962 (Pre-CBS, Fullerton) Lefthanded Strat
I love your content man, is it possible for you to do a Raunchola/Moby cover? I saw that you played some of it during one of your videos but I just wanted to know if you could fully play it? ❤️
@@Rik-theking couldn’t find any black jaguars for an affordable price for me in my area, remembered jazzmasters existed and checked and found the perfect one
Hey man I really love how deep your into Kurt cobain music just like me,I noticed that you haven’t done a video on one of his most iconic and my personally favorite song off All time Where Did You Sleep Last Night, can you do a video on how he played it
Seeing the actual VMA strat just made me realize how freakin weird the lefty fenders are. Like the headstock only says fender on it, no Stratocaster or anything else. And the color of the fingerboard is like bright rosewood. I’d love to see someone actually recreate a left handed strat but for a righty player and vice versa
This has no link to this video but what tuning is smells like teen Spirit in because I was watching them at paramount in 1991 to try recreate tone and kurt played it after switching to the vandalism strat which is what he played r8 me and about a girl on these are both half step down was teen spirit also half step down whilst live?
Great to get some information about the different model strats. I know what you mean though. My KC mustang plays significantly better than my Mexican mustang. Now I know which strat to buy next 🤔😁
you should make a video on the Blonde F-hole Archtop Harmony guitar used in Come as you are music video to see how it sounds and see if it was used on any other Nirvana songs
As a left handed player, I wish i could rebuild builds like this. But it's so much money, like i'm trying to acquire a fender neck for my vandalism build because i'm eager to have a 1 to 1 build of kurt's. But for a fender neck with the two different wood colors for the neck and fretboard, it costs me 100 dollars.
Yeah, I said you have to find real japanese guitar and you found it! Good deal! Waiting for Mosrite Mark IV sound and actually you can made one of Mustang with Univox humbucker like Kurt did (2 of them: blue and pink)
Eric, I found a nice 2006 that is spot on like yours. I bought a one ply pickguard but the holes don't align. Did you have to drill two in the guitar to make it fit?
Ive been thinking about the hot rails pickup since I did my own replica months ago, I always thought his was a neck hot rails pickup because of the reasons in your video, but there was also a case for a SHR-1neck hot rail along with his teen spirit mustang that supposedly was just random, could it be that it belonged to this guitar instead?
do you know what pickup selection kurt used on in utero tone? (also if you would check up my drain you vocal cover i would really appreciate it. i love your channel).
Hey eric is it ok if i request a mexican seafood cover in the martin D18e build? ive always wanted to know how it would’ve sounded :D (oh and i forgot something, could it be with the original incesticide tuning? im a real fan of yours :D)
Which american strat? Which jap? Which mex? It’s not about the country, it’s about the specs (series and years). Like here he’s talking that it’s japanese neck is better than the mexican. But he compares a modern specs neck (modern C, 42mm nut, 9.5 radius, narrow tall frets) vs a vintage specs 90s jap neck (60s C, 41mm, 7.25, vintage low frets). Sure the vintage specs will feel comfy for someone with rather small hands playing rythm parts and using his thumb hendrix style, while for most people, for playing modern rock and fast leadwork and big bends, the mexican will be better. And if he compared to vintage specs mexican necks (classic series, vintera2) he couldnt tell which is which with the japanese, just feeling small differences in shape / dimensions, and the mexican polyester little less sticky, and maybe he would even prefer a mexican one if the dimensions fit his hands / playing better. Like he would probably hate all those modern specs american necks from nowadays. It’s just not about the country.
That's sonic spirituality. I'm pretty sure your Strat just booped Kurt's Strat's snoot. It's safe to say, don't quote me on that. Amazing dude
By far one of the best comments I've ever gotten 😂
