2019 FLHXS and I've got around 7,000 miles on my seat and one thing I can tell you is that it's not a long haul seat IMO. It's a day trip seat at best. Definitely better then the stock seat. Worth it if you don't plan on long rides. Looks great and good construction. 3.5 stars.
With seat height comparisons you should wear the same shoes. I had same issues with height being 5’8” I went with saddleman then Legend Air Suspension. Great videos

I am 5'4 ' so I get it about reaching the ground, but mine is lowered 2 in the front and 2 in the rear. I love my bike!!!
I have same bike. I’m 5’7” and have a saddleman seat and have progressive 944 low shocks which lowered the bike about 1 1/2 “. Completely flat footed

Great seat I have one on my 2019 Road King Special. I'm 5'8" but I have short legs, 30" in seam. This seat put me probably at least a half inch closer to the ground than the stock one, and as it broke in i'm pretty much flat footed now. After I adjusted the suspension for my weight 170lbs it is actually a super comfortable ride and feels like I could go all day long

saying "THE" Saddleman is a bit misleading. dozens of variants for the touring bikes, there is the reach seat and the extra reach seats.
you can also order their special gel padding which breaks in fast. I was about to custom upholster my seat but I am starting to lean towards their step up seat with the backrest that extends out.

I appreciate the video bro! I am currently about to pull the trigger on a 2019 RGS. If they can get my payments where I want them. I wanted the 18 RGS but the dealership said they can get me in a 2019 so we shall see.
I'm about yo buy an RKS. Love the look of this seat. I'm a newbie to motorcycles. My girl is going to want a backrest on passenger seat to feel safe (that I'll remove when riding alone). Will any black Harley passenger backrest match the leather on this seat?

How does the seat feel now.... 6-7 months after you installed it? all broken in?
I have an '18 RG and I am also a (much) shorter rider (5'3'' to be exact -- 5'6'' with the boots on!) and I am looking for a seat to bring me lower to the ground. Got the super reduced reach seat from Harley, but found it to be uncomfortable. I am use the stock seat at the moment.
Also, what lowering kit did you use?

At first the seat was pretty hard. Loved the way it felt but on long rides it wasn't very comfortable. However, after being broke in it is more comfortable. This seat is great for shorter riders. I hope this helps! I didn't end up lowering my bike..

How is the seat on long rides? 250-300 miles or more? Do you feel like you’re sitting close to the tank in the controllers or somewhat stretched out?
i know the saddleman is hard i think it is meant to be that way to that it isn't super soft when it breaks in. i am wondering now after a few months of riding this if it has gotten too soft or if you have changed your mind on the seat? Also is Lucky daves made from the same gel as the saddleman? thanks.

I have a Saddleman SDC (San Diego Custom) seat with a backrest to put me closer to the handlebars on my 2021 FLTRXS. I’m a short rider on a bagger as well, does the Lucky Dave seat put you closer to the gas tank than the stock seat and/or Saddleman step-up seat?

Unfortunately you just have to be put on the waiting list. No where else to get them unless you can find a used one.
I would suggest getting a security screw for the seat. somebody could swipe that thing in under 10 seconds.

The saddleman is actually deeper. From tip to lumbar..

I got a 2020 RGS and debating on buying one of these or having the stock seat modified and change the stitching.
How did you pick the color for the Lucky Dave’s logo? Want to order my seat but don’t see that option.
If there isn't a color option that you like on the site, you can call them and special order it or you can email them and tell them exactly what you want.
Which of the two set you further from tank? I’m tall and need a seat to set me little backward from stock. Also, have you considered Corbin?

Wonder how this would compare to the Drag Specialty Predator III.
The white stitching looks amazing, but I'd be worried that it will start to stain and look grimy over time.
It's actually silver stitching but yeah I see what you're saying.
@@DOOWORKPRODUCTIONS Oh good to know. That will resist the staining a little better I think. I just ordered one but all blacked out. It was a hard call because I really like the look you went with but decided just to play it safe in regards to the stitching.
I have the same seat, but man it kills my tailbone. Do you have that issue and how did you resolve it? How long did it take to break in?

Was wondering thoughts on passenger. I’m worried about the slant of the back. I have a sissy bar but still worried. Thanks for your time.
If you have a sissy bar, your passenger won't notice the slant back seat. If you don't run the sissy bar, they will slide back easier on acceleration.

@@grantbresley5343 If you are planning on riding a passenger majority of the time then I would not Recommend this seat. There are a lot more seats out there that are better suited for riding a passenger..
Looks like you were wearing sneakers when you were trying to Saddleman seat out the lucky Dave seat you’re wearing boots that makes up the half inch difference for you to touch the ground better to me both seats are the same

Not the most ideal seat for 2 up riding. The rear seat kind of slants back and makes it hard for the girl to hold on lol

You do realize that the Saddlemen SDC Pro is the same exact seat as the Lucky Dave's...both made by Saddlemen
They are in fact both made by saddlemen, however they are slightly different. I had both of them at the same time and compared the 2.

It's just a craftsman motorcycle jack, nothing special, yes you can but its a little sketchy with a big bagger like my bike..

Great for us shorter people and awesome for the passenger as well,the sattlemen and lucky dave's step-up for the passenger is only for looks but Not practical at all,specially for long distance riding.
