my experience with the crack burger suggests that a skillet or griddle works better than a grill. When the cheese eventually melts out of the mix, the solid hot surface causes the cheese to form a crust-- the best part of the crack burger experience, IMO. Thanks for the content!
Swap onion soup powder for Ranch and you have my Moms burger surprise from 1977. and it was everyones Moms special burger. This was everywhere in the 70s. And you made a meatloaf burger by adding bread crumbs...that's not a bad thing. I remember them being pretty good but not as good as a straight burger. Good way to stretch food when times are tough.
That 605 pro really puts out the heat doesn't it? Looks like you could almost do a black & blue burger without having to even use the sear burner. My 605 pro is on back order, and the sear burner on my 15 yr old grill died (it owes me nothing). All I can do is be jealous and watch vids like yours and drool. I do hope you do a follow up vid on your thoughts and experience with the new grill now that you are putting it to work.
I love the smell of onions and garlic cooking sizzling away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the crack burgers i 've seen had mayo and grated cheese and ranch dip mixed into the cheese and mayo then melted on top of the patty the patty only had salt pepper and garlic
The reason a burger falls apart is because you didn’t mix it enough that the fat molecules get sticky. You can’t over mix but trying to make them fluffy will lead to them falling apart.
Crack burger? More like a lot a mommas burgers that we have been making for decades. The internet is a bit behind. I dont add crumbs to mine, I use garlic powder, salt & pepper, real fried bacon cut up really small, shredded cheese and a egg as the binder. There you have it.
@@leonardgenovese7726 Not necessarily. Meatloaf is just ground meat with other ingredients mixed in. There are countless different recipes with any number of meats including just ground beef.
A lot of people have misophonia. Misophonia is a chronic condition that causes people to experience intense emotional responses to certain sounds, or their associated cues, called "triggers". These triggers can include: CHEWING, Pen clicking, Tapping, Lip smacking, Clock ticking, Low frequency bass sounds, Footsteps, Finger tapping, and Whistling sounds. The fact that you don't mute your chewing (most food TH-camrs do) made me instantly stop the video. I won't be able to watch your content, sorry.
You put your own personal seasoning in before you put the ranch, which is the star ...this isn't in the recipe so it's not a "crack burger" it's just a burger you made up

Fair. I totally made it my own
He said at the beginning it was his version of the crack burger
@@kennethshaw2412 and that precise reason is why it isn't😮💨
@@mrboots73 who has the original recipe because just about everyone you look at is slightly different
@@kennethshaw2412 the original recipe is hamburger meat, grated cheese and the dry ranch mix
