    Hello, and thanks a lot! I was completely lost at how to edit and upload VR180 to TH-cam. Just posted my first 3D video! Everything worked well step by step exactly as you described. Fantastic!!!

    I don’t have Final Cut Pro. I just got my Vuze xr yesterday and rendered on the mobile Ipad Vuze app then put the file on my oculus by an android app on my desktop with a tethered usb c to the Oculus. The video quality was set to 5.7k 30, but when I viewed it on the Oculus it was horrible resolution and everything looked strange and sizes of objects were off, the video didn’t appear to show the level of the camera (held while standing), as I was shooting the footage, it looked like I was lower to the horizon than what I shot it at. Is going from the Vuze app directly to Oculus a bad idea? Or was I just doing something wrong?

    I think with Insta 360 Evo camera, you can just connect the camera with the headset via WiFi and preview the videos without even downloading them or requiring a PC

    Too bad, I had hoped for a solution where one would be able to render the RAW Vuze XR files without using Vuze VR Studio, as it's not a very reliable program.

    Hi Don. I just bought my Vuze XR. I filmed in VR 180 3D (keyword 3D) but when I simply play the raw video file (captured by Vuze XR) in my Oculus Rift S it is not in 3D and just 2D. It looks like in Step 2 you converted the raw file to side-by-side video. I don't have Final Cut Pro, but wanted to confirm that this is a necessary step to see the video I captured in 3D. I had assumed the raw file could be viewed in 3D with the right VR player but I could be wrong. Any tips would be helpful as I am new to Vuze XR.

      It's odd this video - cos, you render the file in Vuze Studio - upload to the GO and press play. No need to use final cut and no need to convert anything... maybe this video was made before a firmware or studio update?

    Hi Don, although I'm using the Evo, this video was very interesting, thanks for sharing this! One question: if my VR180 footage is shaky, I can check " flowstate stabilization" in the Insta360 sofware, but it's not perfect for VR180 (it's better for flat 360 video). So if I use your workflow, can I add additional stabilization in FCPX?

    Thank you for that it was very interesting. Certainly need to jump through hoops to edit VR180 from the XR. Do you think FCPX will get it's own native VR180 editor as I think Premier has it. As it's a hobby I dont want to pay for a subscription. Plus I already have FCPX. So far I have simply trimmed my Vuze XR footage but would like to do more.

      Well, I *hope* Apple is paying attention. They also need to support x265 besides 5.7K.

    is there another way to render the footage (step 2) other than VUZE VR studio? that program does not open on Big Sur (new Mac). is there a workaround?

      It does now. There should be an update available. Strangely enough they e-mailed me a download link. So I'm not sure if it's actually on their website or not. But I was able to use the program and convert video with my MBP M1.

    WHY must i take my 180 footage, convert to 360, then back to 180? Can Anyone answer this? Why is this so damn complicated? Is it only the vuze xr thats complicated to render? Ill buy a different camera if thats the case.

    • @homemovies751
      @homemovies751  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This video was specific for Final Cut Pro X. FCPX cannot edit VR180 videos, but it can edit 360° videos. Nothing to do with the camera. So this is all a hack to get around that missing functionality in FCPX. Since this video was published one step has been eliminated though and that is the need to create a 360° video with VR Creator as now the Vuze VR Studio can output that 360° correctly (but you still need VR Creator studio to convert it back to 180°).

      @@homemovies751 Hi Don, Thanks for the video...very clear explanation and works like a charm. I am curious though, say you added something to the blank side of the VR 180 to make it a 360. I dont suppose you would go through your final steps to make it VR 180 again would you? Or would you render to 360 final format

    • @wrongway2001
      @wrongway2001 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@homemovies751 Hi Don, thank you for the explanation but could you explain the procedure for the outputting the 360 video and the settings required from VR Studio eliminating the step to create it in VR Creator.

    my camera stopped accepting cards. All cards have been tested and work on other devices. my camera with any card beeps and glows orange.
