6 l/ 100km...my 2012 MB C W204, 220cdi, driven over 300tkm takes city 4,5 L- 5.0 L/100km and highway 3.1-4.0 L/ 100km (speed 100-120 km/h)..and road are very bad conditions in Finland now...
Your Merc is from the era where car manufacturers didn't had to put all the useless weight and bateries to get better results. It probably weighs ~1500kg and is much much less complicated and less distracting.

Steering wheel is unbelievably ugly. I just can’t accept it from the time Q4 was released. There was hope that Audi wouldn’t use it in new gen models but they didn’t hesitate 💀
As a Q4 owner, it’s one of the worst parts of the car. It looks and feels so cheap. I would have taken ANY of the existing steering wheels on the other models instead of the one on the Q4.
Mild hybrid you mean with an electric supercharger? Hybrid diesels don’t work very well because diesel engines already produce lots of torque low down same with electric motors.
@@dzonikg actually hybrid compliments diesel better. Diesel engines are very efficient at constant highway speeds but are very poor at town low speed driving. The small electric drive of a hybrid is perfect here with the low speed stop start traffic. Electric drive is poor at high speed where diesel excels. So the two are a match made in heaven.

Ever been behind a modern diesel that runs cold due to freezing temperatures and you're in a line? I'm a taxidriver in finland and when the temperatures drop and even if they don't, modern diesels smell horrible and cause me a headache. When soot and deposits accumulate after driving for 100 000km, they start smelling godawful often. Also don't get me started about dpf regenerating in that line or idiots plugging egr and removing dpf. I am very happy about hybrids and fully electric cars getting more common. I don't mind gasoline cars either that much. However i can only imagine what 19 years of breathing diesel fumes in taxilines have done to my health.

One thing I'm not a fan of though is the extremely cheap (and plastic?) looking Audi logo on the steering wheel as well as the arguably unnecesary screen on the passanger side. Usually the engine only turns off when warm enough, also I think that the thousands of engineers already thought of that when making these cars. We are talking about German cars here.

Does the engine shut off compeletely or does it sit at idle, when the electric motor is used? I'm wondering about the longevity of the engine, because cutting off oil circulation, when it's not fully warmed up, is brutal for turbo engines.
As newer cars have anti-syphon protection, probably the fuel pistol/pump was that close so the fuel splashed back and pump clicked. Just don't stick it so deep (that's what she said)

Not all models provide access to these parts, and the engine often needs to be removed, which involves very high costs!

Well, I do 5.4 l/100km in my c220d from 2015, without any hybrid help. Thats real life driving, traffic jam to work and weekend fun trips. So I would say that Im not impressed with 2025 4 cylinder diesel from audi - it should do better. I also dont understand why its 4 wheel drive, that doesn't help with fuel consumption either. Its heavy and only complicates the system. No need in such a diesel car. The interior is absolutely too much and messy. It would stress me out after work with all these digital screens, driving home. I would prefer lesser screens and more premium materials.
I am also not impressed, especially that it has an electric engine to help. I get down to 4.5 /100 on a 2018 TDI. bit more agressive driving and some overtaking here and there its about 5/100.

Audi really had to mess up the literally perfect physical A/C controls the previous generation A5 had. But yeah, the EA288 evo 2.0 TDI is just insane in terms of fuel efficiency, I'd love to get that thing at one point. French, on the other hand, are making a big mistake for dropping their diesel engines, petrols just can't compete in fuel efficiency for everyday drivers and PHEVs just turn into e-waste quickly, so diesel is still desparately needed.
Such electric "mild hybrid" systems will cost 30 000€ to replace in 5 years..beats any use of diesel.. We also know that long journey cars with high mileage are in way better condition than short journey cars, due to more starting od the engine, hot-cold cycles etc., so that electric system shutting down the diesel engine all the time is not a good thing at all..

The clocks in front of the driver look awful. It is no longer possible to set the round clocks that show the speedometer and tachometer. A lot of hard plastic inside in my opinion is worse than it was. All the best for you mate.

Why is every one obsessed with km per litre miles per gallon. Just get in it and drive as fast as you can. It’s so boring. Spend 60k euros on a car and then worry about the euros in fuel. It doesn’t make sense at all. I get 18mpg and I just fill it up with 99 RON when it needs it. 220 miles per 50 litres of fuel and I commute 400 miles per week in mine.
this is the replacement for the A4, the odd numbers are going to be petrol/diesel and the even numbers are all electric, the new A6 will be the replacement for the old A5 but electric, and new A7 will be the old A6 in petrol/diesel, and so on.
yeha, but next time, dig more into the tehcnical details, you will find that in this Quattro Ultra, Audi have removed the vectoring rear diff, which now is only at S5, before was in A4 as well. So, unfortunately, once againm, Audi is moving against Vorspriung durch technik, backwards. :-(

@@zp3721its not i have a 9 speed petrol. Just a 2.0 litre yet it uses 9 litre on average. Diesels use 5 on average
Hey man great video, just one tip, you forgot to reset short term fuel economy. You started with 690KM total , drove 100km and it was on 700KM.
