The Pelican tip is a great one. This is how it works for those that don't know because it is important.
In the final 10 seconds prepare to leave the evac radius.
3,2,1 Pelican 1 will announce that you are in view.
You now have a few seconds to completely exit the Evac radius. Everyone must be outside of it.
Now when Pelican 1 enters your space he will hover until you step a single foot into evac so continue to circle the perimeter until your team had regrouped and you have cleared out the desired amount of undesirables.

I personally try to use the Weaponized Treason strat with a supply pack instead, combined with the experimental infusion and fortified armor perk. An entire resupply drop worth of stims in your back pocket is a LOT of extra health and stamina. I got quite far without knowing how to properly dodge justice, so I'm looking forward to seeing how well I'll do now.

You can sneak up on the factory striders by crawling towards them. Use stuns to stop any bots reacting to you. Then use the commando (or ac) to hit the belly before it has time to react.
