I do not think these women are anywhere close to having the support and political clout within the Church to make this much of an issue for the Pope anytime soon. The Bible may be The Good Book, but I think the Catholic Church interprets some of it a little too literally. What if women will not be quiet anymore? Going to put the scolds bridle or branks on them? Give them the ducking stool? If women are allowed to do certain things out here in the real world, maybe the Catholic church needs to change too. The Catholic Priest acts in the Person of Christ, in Persona Christi. Thus, we shouldn’t, can’t, and won’t put women in that position, especially if it has not been (and simply won’t ever be) God’s Will for His Church. This is especially the case as Jesus Christ never ordained women into Priestly roles, because it would be like asking a mother to defend a family in a time of danger instead of a father. There are inherent m differences between men and women that make certain roles necessarily available to one or the other, and not both (ie. motherhood by pregnancy, Sisterhood, the Priesthood).

The most perfect human created completely perfect by God is Our Lady. The mother of Jesus the son of God. So you have absolutely have no basis to say that the church treats woman as inferior. Our Lady Is above every human, male and female, and the angels an saints.
"Ordained" by whom? A teenager could be "ordained" and say a "mass", if he or she was charismatic enough to have some rudimentary organization and a group of followers. So, a woman calls herself a "priest", so what? Much about nothing.
Thing is they want this to be forced on the groups that kicked them out. They want back in and to run things. That is the whole issue. If they wanted to be on their own I would agree 100%.
@@AldoSchmedack People want a lot of things. As long as Church law allows only men to say mass, that is how it will remain. If the Pope changes church policy, then, as with many changes in the Catholic Church over centuries, people will adapt. It looks more like a small protest at this point. Martin Luther challenged some of the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church, was excommunicated by the Pope, and became an important figure in the Protestant Reformation. I do not think these women are anywhere close to having the support and political clout within the Church to make this much of an issue for the Pope anytime soon. Popes have withstood much more pressure than they can bring to bear.

The Bible may be The Good Book, but I think the Catholic Church interprets some of it a little too literally. What if women will not be quiet anymore? Going to put the scolds bridle or branks on them? Give them the ducking stool? If women are allowed to do certain things out here in the real world, maybe the Catholic church needs to change too. And in case it may have eluded some people there are women lectors in the Catholic Church. So women don't have to be quiet anymore!

This isn’t Catholic.
The Catholic Priest acts in the Person of Christ, in Persona Christi. Thus, we shouldn’t, can’t, and won’t put women in that position, especially if it has not been (and simply won’t ever be) God’s Will for His Church. This is especially the case as Jesus Christ never ordained women into Priestly roles, because it would be like asking a mother to defend a family in a time of danger instead of a father. There are inherent m differences between men and women that make certain roles necessarily available to one or the other, and not both (ie. motherhood by pregnancy, Sisterhood, the Priesthood).
