Priests must have the likeness of Jesus, a male figure. Women are not suitable for this role.
Nuns are women who commit their lives to the Lord, though they don’t have authority in the church. The male equivalent would be a monk. A lot of prayer, meditation, vows of silence.. etc

A "woman priest " does not affirm the true dignity of a woman, and acts an enemy of Jesus Christ and His church and the mission given to Him by His Father. If they persist there may be an eternal separation from God. The truth is before them.

Somebody once told me that during the years of the iron curtain that there were women ordained to the priesthood, so that the faithful in certain countries, namely in Eastern Europe, could be ministered to. You could say that it's the vatican's dirty little secret. And they just don't want that dirty laundry being made known to everyone.

America by the way has yet to have a lady as President and the news accuses Catholicism of being unequal.

The funny thing is I would have no problem with priests being allowed to marry on the proviso that they remember that no church property may be passed to their surviving family members. This was the only reason the priestly celibacy ever came to be anyway.

Even if you're protestant you should understand why they aren't going to allow women to be priests. Especially when their examples are literally supposed "priests" who seem to just be doing it as an act of protest for "social justice". Is it not enough you made your own sermon? You HAVE to force an institution thousands of years old to change that has specifically told you they don't want to? Just go to any other denomination or make your own as clearly you don't agree with their catechism.

The Bible may be The Good Book, but I think the Catholic Church interprets some of it a little too literally. What if women will not be quiet anymore? Going to put the scolds bridle or branks on them? Give them the ducking stool? If women are allowed to do certain things out here in the real world, maybe the Catholic church needs to change too. And in case it may have eluded some people there are women lectors in the Catholic Church. So women don't have to be quiet anymore!
"Ordained" by whom? A teenager could be "ordained" and say a "mass", if he or she was charismatic enough to have some rudimentary organization and a group of followers. So, a woman calls herself a "priest", so what? Much about nothing.
Thing is they want this to be forced on the groups that kicked them out. They want back in and to run things. That is the whole issue. If they wanted to be on their own I would agree 100%.
@@AldoSchmedack People want a lot of things. As long as Church law allows only men to say mass, that is how it will remain. If the Pope changes church policy, then, as with many changes in the Catholic Church over centuries, people will adapt. It looks more like a small protest at this point. Martin Luther challenged some of the teachings and practices of the Catholic Church, was excommunicated by the Pope, and became an important figure in the Protestant Reformation. I do not think these women are anywhere close to having the support and political clout within the Church to make this much of an issue for the Pope anytime soon. Popes have withstood much more pressure than they can bring to bear.

Same about being only Catholic or only a believer even and now it is all faiths are saved even Muslims are saved now and all faiths even according to Pope (rolls eyes). These things grow, that is the point. And there are many types of Catholics. Popes have bent far too much. And on many more issues too. How about indulgences? Or wearing scarves over hair? etc. Lots of choices. Also notice rainbows and multicolors on their robes at end? I noticed a huge flaw in this report.
To become a priest the sacrament if Holy Orders must be conferred. This may only be done by a Bishop of higher authority. In the Catholic Church this authority must be traced back to Jesus and the apostles ( i.r., bishops consecreating priests).
Here the report did not address the requirement that is essential to become a Catholic priest. It was not even touched upon, and for good reason. It completely undermines the whole report and exposes the lack of truth and substance.

Please correct your language. These women are NOT priests. They are women seeking priesthood but they are NOT priests, nor will they ever be.
They could consider joining the Church of Sweden, where women are allowed to be priests. There's no need to be part of something you don't agree with. Setting gender aside, becoming a priest in the Catholic Church requires at least 6-8 years in the seminary, it's unlikely these grandmas have the patience for that.

The Catholic Priest acts in the Person of Christ, in Persona Christi. Thus, we shouldn’t, can’t, and won’t put women in that position, especially if it has not been (and simply won’t ever be) God’s Will for His Church. This is especially the case as Jesus Christ never ordained women into Priestly roles, because it would be like asking a mother to defend a family in a time of danger instead of a father. There are inherent m differences between men and women that make certain roles necessarily available to one or the other, and not both (ie. motherhood by pregnancy, Sisterhood, the Priesthood).
